Design of the car headlight
Struhár, Slavomír ; Bukvald, Jiří (referee) ; Buganská, Tamara (advisor)
The topic of this bachelor's thesis is design of headlamp for a further unspecified automobile. The first part of the thesis is formed by Overview of current knowledge dedicated to the history, the present and the near future of headlamps of series-production cars. The following sections describe the objectives of the thesis, the process of the design itself and present the final design of the headlamp. The final part evaluates the results of the work with respect to the stated objectives.

Comparison of Results of Experimental Visibility Measurements with Available Software
Ondris, Róbert ; Glier, Ladislav (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
Master's thesis evaluates determined values of visibility from the motor vehicle on the pedestrian by reduced visibility distance when using halogen headlights, which are the results of experimental measurements a compare them with theoretical values determined by assistance of available software.
Volatilization of inorganic chlorides by haloperoxidases of soil microorganisms and plants
Loukotová, Šárka ; Stiborová, Marie (advisor) ; Moserová, Michaela (referee)
Biogeochemical cycle of chlorine, particularly formation of organically bound chlorine (Clorg), is still known only in outlines. In continental ecosystems chloride acts as stress factor, and also as source of chlorine; it originates from precipitation, which comes from marine cloud masses. Clorg are formed naturally by biotical and abiotical way. The biological factors are microorganisms, soil enzymes, plants and even animals. Halogenation processes undergo in marine environment as well, the main difference is the presence of bromine besides chlorine, therefore the reaction and formation of brominated compounds. One group of Clorg represents volatile chlorinated hydrocarbons (VOCl). Several VOCl can react with atmospheric ozone, consequently causing its depletion. The best known sources of VOCl are soil, the microorganisms living in it, and their exoenzymes released into it. The heme peroxidases in the group EC 1.11.1.X can perform halogenation of organic compounds. Hydrogen peroxide or organic peroxides are the substrates of this reaction in which hypochlorous acid is generated. The halogen in reactive form then carries chlorine onto the organic compound. To study enzymatic mediation of chlorination processes, we chose commercially available enzymes (chloroperoxidase from Caldariomyces fumago and...
Porovnání halogenových a xenonových světlometů z hlediska viditelnosti chodců
Bradáč, Albert ; Semela, Marek ; Škoda, Jan ; Sumec, Stanislav ; Kledus, Robert ; Bilík, Martin
This case study presents a comparison of visibility and recognisability (discernibility) of objects – pedestrians – on the road in rural areas at night on encounter with low beam headlights fitted with halogen lights and xenon (high-intensity discharge) lights in one and the same vehicle model. The study was inspired by the results of dynamic measuring of the reactions of vehicle drivers to the presence of pedestrians on the right side of the roadway, where the results indicated subsequent reactions of drivers driving a vehicle fitted with xenon discharge lights. The study is therefore concluded with a static comparison that confirms the factual findings.
