Analysis of the Driver's View from the Vehicle
Lažek, Jan ; Bilík, Martin (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of the driver's view from the vehicle, respectively the measurement of the field of views and blind spots. This thesis takes into account the 360° view around the vehicle. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical outlook of the vehicle. The reader becomes acquainted with the progressive development of the 360° view in a vehicle, beginning with the past and leading up to the present enhancements in today's vehicles. The reader will also understand, the position and movement of the eyes in a vehicle, the detailed description of the direct forward look, and the indirect reverse look. Subsequently, the theoretical part is devoted to the methodology of visibility measurements according to the prescribed standards of SAE and EHK. The theoretical part concludes with a chapter explaining how the theory is used in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part is devoted to the design of the 360° views of the vehicle and the description of the methodology. Another element of the practical part is the measurement protocol. This section deals with all the calculations for the complete driver's view, which was shown as an example on one of the sixteen vehicles measured. The last chapter compares, evaluates and reviews the results of all measured 360° views and blind spots around the vehicle.
Architectural visualization in virtual reality
Visual inspection
Lancz, Michal ; Honec, Peter (referee) ; Richter, Miloslav (advisor)
This semester thesis deals with the issue of visual inspection. As a gruop of controlled objects we have have chosen needles. In this work basic knowledge on the topic of computer vision is described. In the first part, methods of image processing such as smoothing filters and edge filters are discribed. The selected programming environment is Matlab. This enviroment can easily present and compare the obtained result. Following part presents the examples of the used resultant methods on the sample picture.

Vizuální analýza prostoru pro noční řízení
Zálešák, Jan
The determination of observer´s adaptation luminance based on luminance distribution in the observer´s field of view and the adaptation of the human eye in a current question occupying lot of research teams worldwide. The impetus for the development of this matter is especially the need to determinate the adaptation luminance in order to calculate and determinate the adaptation performance (vision) in terms of mesopic vision. The aim of this paper is not to accurately determine the process of vision adaptation, but to analyze the observer´s field of view luminance distribution – especially of a driver at night. Measurements and luminance distribution evaluations of different types of roads and light situations were carried out with the goal to discuss this issue and discover how big the luminance differences are and to what situations of the surroundings the eye must adapt to during a ride.
Validation of human body biological parameters for robotic visual telepresence
Cheparukhina, Anna ; Kopečný, Lukáš (referee) ; Žalud, Luděk (advisor)
This work presents a research in the field of robotic visual telepresence. At the beginning explains the principle of teleprezence and it makes classification of robots according to their properties and concepts. Furthermore, there is a review of modern existing robots. The following chapter discusses the human visual system, the basic parameters and functions including parameters of head movements. Subsequently have been selected critical parameters for visual telepresence. At the conclusion of the theoretical part were designed some experiments to validation of human body biological parameters. In the practical part was conducted measuring the extent and speed of head movements, eye distinction depending on the lighting and measurement of visual field man. Also, a series of experiments was performed for practical technical embodiment of the telepresence system rescue robot for class Orpheus.
Design of operator workplace of machining center
Kříž, Jan ; Pavlík, Jan (referee) ; Novotný, Tomáš (advisor)
The presented work contains the parameters and rules relevant for the design of the inter- face between the machining center and it's operator. All of information were obtained by search in scientific literature and technical standards and subsequently were sorted according to the elements to which they relate. The work contains the actual anthropometric dimensions, description of the interface elements with references to standards which relate to them. The study also shows an example of an optimized keyboard layout for machine tools and methods applicable to design the spatial layout of the workplace. In conclusion there is evaluate the state of currently available literature and technical standards.
