Stress strain analysis of the femur based on the CT data collection
Nečas, David ; Marcián, Petr (referee) ; Vosynek, Petr (advisor)
The area of clinical biomechanics is a rapidly growing engineering discipline in the world of today. This master's thesis is concerned with the stress-strain analysis of human femoral neck. In the first place it emphasizes the creation of computational model, especially the model of bone material, because of its high level of inhomogeneity. The creation of the computational model has been tested using several software packages, which are often mentioned in connection with the biomechanical tasks. The latter part of the thesis contains finite element method analysis for several material models, which are based on extensive analysis of relations used to transfer the information from computed tomography data to material model properties. Subsequently, the realization of experimental measurement is described. The final part of the thesis contains evaluated results obtained from the FEM analysis, which are also compared with the experiment.
Design of heat exchanger after ČSN EN 13 445
Lošák, Pavel ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Nekvasil, Richard (advisor)
Diploma thesis is fucused on strength calculation of the heat exchanger according to ČSN EN 13 445. Introductory part introduce problems with the design of heat exchangers. In other parts there are a strength calculation of the heat exchanger according to ČSN EN 13 445, the results of the analysis with their appreciation. Annexes included output logs from the program Sant 'Ambrogio, and drawings documentation.
The springing of front driving axle in lightweight type tractor
Vodrada, Tomáš ; Lukáš, Jan (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
The topic of this thesis is springing of front driving axle design in Zetor tractor of series Proxima including FEM analysis. The thesis also deals with study of currently used suspended front axles produced by word known manufacturers.
Influence of residual stress on pressure vessel part fatigue life
Boleloucký, Václav ; Vincour, Dušan (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the impact of a residual stress, caused by an applied cyclic pressure, on fatigue life of a pressure vessel part (flat end–cylinder connection). Bachelor’s thesis includes the design of the pressure vessel according to CSN EN 13 445 regulations, analytical solution in Maple software, from which stresses and deformations are determined. Then the results of the analytical approach are firstly verified by a FEM modelling in ANSYS Workbench software and secondly compared to each other in graphs and discussed. From the values of stresses in FEM, analysis fatigue life expectations are calculated with the respect to CSN EN 13 445 regulations, for two cases. First one, where a pressure test is applied and second one, where the pressure test is not applied before the pressure vessel is put into service. In the conlusion the obtained results are discussed.
Design of Modern V8 Combustion Engine
Šebesta, Radek ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
Master´s thesis is considered with design and construction of V8 combustion engine with small size and low mass of its body. In the construction were used mass-produced components from the other engines. From every component was generated a 3D model in computer program Pro/Engineer, new necessary parts were made in the same program and put together to assembly. Main part of the construction was to design a new crankshaft, a crankcase and an engine lubricating system. The crankshaft was subjected computing analysis in program Pro/Mechanica, using FEM.
Six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with cylinder deactivation
Novosád, Ivan ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
Master 's thesis deals with design of a drivetrain of six cylinder inline engine with cylinder deactivation for heavy agricultural vehicles. In this thesis were devised various possibilities of crankshaft balancing, the best design solution of counterweight was based on optimization in software Catia. Further, the crankshaft was analysed for force and momentum loading and torsional vibration, based on which, the torsional vibration damper was designed. There were considered several options for cylinder deactivation, which were analysed for finest run of engine and the best thermal distribution. Based on these criteria, the best option was to deactivate 2nd and 5th cylinder. The crankshaft was analysed for the fatigue failure by finite element method. The fatigue failure is the most dangerous case for the crankshaft, the resulting safety factor for this limit state is 3,05.
Hinged adapter of corn header
Řezníček, Milan ; Fajmon, Petr (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
The master’s thesis contains a plan of hinged adapter for cord header Cornpower 8-75 of the BISO Schrattenecker Company. The adapter is designed for threshing machines New Holland. The thesis includes a comparison of the mechanisms used by competitors. Further it contains design of the entirely different mechanism, its kinematics solution of the hydraulic circuit and calculating of the strength using FEM method, including calculation of contacts. The drawing documentation is done in Catia V5 and strength calculations in NX-Ideas and Marc 2010.
Piston for SI Turbocharged Engine 2.0L
Kusyn, Petr ; Bradávka, Marek (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on solve of design solutions for piston for turbocharged version of Honda K20A engine, especially on reduce of side force acting on piston. There are mentioned methods and on their basis also design solutions for piston to reduce this force. There is also included kinematic and dynamic analysis for each solution and as well their FEM analysis for testing the suitability of these solutions.
Analysis of frame of road bicycle
Šustr, Dominik ; Hloušek, David (referee) ; Pokorný, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the FEM analysis of the stiffness of the REPETE R2: REASON road bike frame according to the stiffness testing methodology in EFBE laboratories. The theoretical part describes the most important facts about the design of the analyzed frame and the history of brands that are important for the frame. The empirical part then summarizes the results of the FEM analysis, thanks to which we revealed the area around the bottom bracket as the weakest structural point of the frame, which can have a negative effect at higher loads. It probably also makes more sense to orient the pipe cross-sections horizontally.
Design of storage tank
Sedmidubský, Petr ; Buzík, Jiří (referee) ; Klučka, Ivan (advisor)
The master thesis deals with design of storage tank for nitric acid. The first chapter introduces the problems of design, manufacture and operation of the storage tanks. The next section describes design calculation of storage tank according to standard EN 14015. Control of design calculation is performed by analysis FEM in program ANSYS Workbench 16.2. Thesis also includes basic drawing of storage tank.
