Kačerová, Veronika ; Táborská, Silvie (advisor) ; Novotná, Marie (referee)
Author: Veronika Kačerová Tutor: Mgr. Silvie Táborská Opponent: Title of bachelor thesis: The Use of Elements of Fascial Manipulation in Patients with Low Back Pain Abstract: This bachelor thesis deals with an approach called Fascial Manipulation. Concretely, it is about the possibilities of using elements of this approach in patients with low back pain. Almost everybody somehow deals with low back pain in life. Fascial Manipulation could be the key in solving this problem. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is divided into four sections. The first one is about the anatomy of lower back, the second one is about lumbalgia in general, the third one is about fascial system highliting the clinical point of view, the forth one is about Fascial Manipulation. The practical part involves case studies of two patients with low back pain (chronic and acute). The aim of this part is to find out the effects of a therapy based on elements of FM in patients with lumbalgia. Every therapy took aproximately 20-30 minutes and was held in a time period of 8 weeks. Key words: low back pain, Fascial Manipulation, fascia, lumbalgie, manual techniques

Usage of BLACKROLL in physiotherapy of vertebrogenic algic syndrome in the lumbar spine
KAMIŠOVÁ, Barbora
This bachelor thesis deals with vertebrogenic algic syndrome, particularly focused on lumbar spine with BLACKROLL tool usage during physiotherapeutic diffucilties. Designation "vertebrogenic algic syndrome" mostly labels pain concentrating in different spine areas. Based on latest results, frequency of those difficulties has appeared more often and usually Leeds to making medici appointments. Objective in this thesis was to evaluate effect of BLACKROLL as a physiotherapeutic tool in relation to lumbar spine´s vertebrogenic algic syndrome and to design and create spesific physioterapeutic unit with BLACKROLL usage. First part of this thesis reviews lumbar spine anatomy, deep stabilization system muscles, vertebrogenic difficulties and their causes. Also describes BLACKROLL tools and their relation to fascias. Second part of thesis presents practical work, created by qualitative research. Research sample was composed of 4 probands aged from 23 to 57. Two of them were diagnosed with herniated disc, one with immediate postpartum lumbago and last one with chronic lumbago. I have used interview method and kinesiological analysis for data gathering. Each therapy were ongoing from november 2016 till april 2017. Every single proband was made in regular therapy period of 4 months. Based on achieved results, we can say that bachelor thesis objective has been fulfilled. I have proved that recommended therapy and regular exercise participate on general improvement of deep stabilization system muscles and patient´s health condition. Overall mental state also strengthens according to pain dissapearance.
View of physiotherapy on Physical Education at the University of South Bohemia in the city of Ceske Budejovice
BUŘIČOVÁ, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis deals with the teaching of a Physical Education at the University of South Bohemia in the city of Ceske Budejovice from the view of physiotherapy. In the first part of this thesis are described the anatomy and physiology of the axial system, the muscles of the deep stabilization system of the spine and fascias. Also there is a description of the scoliosis as a pathological condition of an axial system. In the last chapter there are information about principle and dividing of stretching. In the second part there is practical research uses mixed methods. The research set contains nineteen respondents Faculty of Education and Physiotherapy students. The research set was chosen according to specified criteria. The data were collected during the observation and interview. Every respondent was interviewed face to face. The main target was to map the teaching of Physical Education at the University of South Bohemia form the view of Physiotherapy at the chosen set. The main target by the students of the Faculty of Education was to get know if they perceive the sport in a context of healthy exercise. By the students of Physiotherapy, who have the Physical Education in their curriculum, was researched if they are educated with respect to healthy exercises. The research in the first group shows that these students have very low knowledge about the deep stabilization system of the spine and its importance for doing an physical activity. On the other side they perceive the stretching as a significant part of exercise. The students of Physiotherapy are not satisfied with current teaching of Physical Education, which lack versatility, diversity and connection with Physiotherapist knowledge.
Manual techniques based on the theory of fascial chains
Saifrová, Tereza ; Nováková, Tereza (advisor) ; Vomáčková, Helena (referee)
Title: Manual techniques based on the theory of fascial chains Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to summerize academic findings and information about anatomy, histology, neurophysiology and biomechanical properties of fascial tissue from the latest research and studies in the theoretical part. Analytical and descriptive part is firstly focused on principles of tissue remodeling, mechanism of myofascial therapy effects and on diagnostic methods which are available for evaluation of structure, properties and function of fascia. The main goal is to describe and compare different diagnostic and therapeutic approaches of most known authors based on various theories of fascial chains. Another important purpose of this work is to demonstrate the objective effect of particular fascial techniques and manual therapies. Methods: This thesis is theoretical work with the purpose of summerizing, organizing and analyzing relevant studies related to the topic through the literary research in available academic databases. Results: The key information concerning structure and properties of fascial tissue have been collected and analyzed according to the latest fascial researches. This thesis describes three best known and widely used approaches which concern the theory of fascial chains and practical outfall...
Function and mechanics of fascias focused to shoulder girdle.
Zbuzková, Petra ; Malá, Jitka (advisor) ; Pánek, David (referee)
Title: Function and mechanics of fascias focused to shoulder girdle Objectives: The main subject of the diploma thesis is the issue of fascial concatenation. The aim of the diploma thesis is a systematic study findings related to the selected issue and introduce concepts, that deal with the fascial concatenation. For a specific example of fascial concatenation was chosen from a practical standpoint shoulder girdle in relation to the entire upper limb. Methods: The thesis methodologically equivalent to a theoretical type of work - job search. Results: By processing the literature sources was created a comprehensive overview that relates to the topic of fascial concatenation. Attention was focused on the arrangement of fascial tissue, not only in terms of stratification, but also due to its layout. One of the chapters was focused on mechanical functions and models explaining changes in fascial tissue behavior during therapy. The thesis presented three general concepts dealing with fascial concatenation whose specific strings were introduced in the shoulder girdle in relation to the entire upper limb. Keywords: fascia, fascial chain, shoulder girdle
