Development of desktop application for monitoring the time intervals while working on projects and tasks
DŽUGANOVÁ, Marie
The bachelor thesis focuses on the development of a desktop application for monitoring time used for studying, while using the Python programming language, its available libraries and API interface for connecting to the Twitter social network. User data is stored in the application using the SQLite library, which is then available for users to view. The application gains access to data from the Twitter social network through the Tweepy module, which allows the social network to be manipulated directly from the application's interface. The goal of the application is to allow the user to view and maintain accurate records of time spent studying and motivates him through gamification. The individual libraries used in the development are described, along with the REST-API. Part of the bachelor thesis is a detailed description of the source code of the created application.
Development of a desktop application for calculating the volume of logs
SMETANA, David
The main goal of this bachelor thesis is to develop an application suitable for calculating log volume using different equations. The first part of this work describes the usage of a relational database, C# programming language and individual components of the .NET platform. In addition to that, the thesis specifies equations used for calculating volume, which are based on the measurement method and the type of wood. Data are then recorded in a relational database. A user can display and filter database records by various types of fields, which can be exported to basics common spreadsheet formats such as an XLSX and a CSV. The thesis describes the process of developing a desktop application using Microsoft Visual Studio an integrated development environment.
Terrain Generation and Adjustement
Oplatek, Tomáš ; Matýšek, Michal (referee) ; Starka, Tomáš (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create an application, which allows the end user to generate any area on earth as a 3D map, which they could look at and get to know, before they set out on a journey there. The application was developed as a desktop application in the C++ language with the use of OpenGL to render the result and Qt framework for user interface. Added value of this application is, that it allows to set for example the density of vegetation, so that small paths, that are usually hidden are visible and it provides real paths even in lesser known areas.
SW for configuration of PLC modems
Tichý, Vojtěch ; Benešl, Tomáš (referee) ; Fiedler, Petr (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to design an application for easy configuration of modems, from ModemTec, communicating over power lines. The bachelor's thesis first deals with a brief explanation of the communication over the power line, which will give the reader a general idea of what the application will be used for. Furthermore, to understand the meaning of the individual adjustable parameters of the modem, the serial port is explained, through which the modem will communicate with the parent device that collects data, but also with the computer on which the application will run and with which the modem will be configured. Then, readers are introduced to the design of the user interface and architecture of the application, which includes the basic design principles which the application implementation was based on. The following is a description of the application implementation and the results of ModemTec modem configuration testing. Finally, the achieved results and possibilities for future modification are summarized.
System to Monitor Application Usage
Nevřela, Marek ; Zbořil, František (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
Master’s thesis describes development of the system which monitores a mobile application usage on the Android platform. The aim is to create the system which collects data in the background of a mobile application automatically and is able to analyze them. The thesis analyses the existing systems and proposes requirements for the new system based on them. Design of the whole system to monitor mobile application usage is the next part of the thesis. Design and implementation of mobile part, desktop application and server part of the systems and communication between them are described in the individual chapters.
Automatic determination of dimensional changes of concrete mixtures during solidification
Hortvík, Martin ; Roupec, Jan (referee) ; Heriban, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the design and implementation of a desktop application designed to determine the dimensional changes of concrete mixtures during solidification. The work includes implementation of the server portal for real-time data evaluation. The introductory part deals with the analysis of the measurement task and the original solution, as well as the specification of the new application and its deployment in real operation. The next part of the thesis describes current software technologies used in the development of desktop and server applications. The design and implementation of both parts of the solution is a major part of the work. In the last part, the real-time functionality test of the application is presented.
The development of game Tower Defense
TUČEK, Jan
The aim of this work is to create a tutorial that will describe the development of a game, which is the type of Tower Defense. This tutorial will serve as an educational example for all who want to go on a journey to become a computer games programmer in the future. In this tutorial I will describe what must contain this type of game, what to avoid and how to solve some problems in game programming. The game used in the tutorial will be implemented in Java. The aim is to provide an outline and inspiration when writing similar games. They take into account various difficulties in programming issues that have an impact on the effectiveness of games. The main contribution of this thesis is to describe and analyze writing computer games and subsequent understanding of writing computer games. This knowledge can be applied to applications other than games. Benefits of the practical part is to examine the most important parts of the game, the most interesting algorithms and functions that are used here, which can then be used in other games or applications. For those interested in game programming is a useful proposal for their own applications.
Návrh a implementace aplikace pro správu pracovních cest
Macáková, Gabriela
The diploma thesis is focused on the design and implementation of application for business trips's administration. The aim of this thesis is to familiarize the readers with the issue of business trips from the economic and financial point of view, with the basics of information systems and with the designing of diagrams in UML's notation. From the practical point of view this thesis deals with the design of database and application which should be helpful for automation of the creation and approval business trip's process and also deals with the administration of all created business trips. Development of Internet Application Using Rich Internet Application Adobe AIR
Šimík, Adam ; Heriban, Pavel (referee) ; Roupec, Jan (advisor)
This thesis explores the development of desktop applications using Adobe AIR (Adobe Itegrated Runtime) technology. Applications like these are based on web technologies but they do not have such restricted access to resources of operating system as web applications. Moreover, it is possible to install these applications on various operating systems without the need of their previous compilation for a specific operating platform. Apart from describing technologies used for developing AIR applications, this thesis also presents an application which is used for testing the possibilities and features that AIR technology offers.
