Semigroups of lattice points
Scholle, Marek ; Kepka, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šaroch, Jan (referee)
The thesis deals with subsemigroups of (Nm 0 , +), a special discussion is later devoted to the cases m = 1, m = 2 and m = 3. We prove that a subsemigroup of Nm 0 is finitely generated if and only if its generated cone is finitely generated (equivalently polyhedral) and we describe basic topological properties of such cones. We give a few examples illustrating that conditions sufficient for finite generation in N2 0 can not be easily trans- ferred to higher dimensions. We define the Hilbert basis and the related notion of Carathéodory's rank. Besides their basic properties we prove that Carathédory's rank of a subsemigroup of Nm 0 , m = 1, 2, 3, is less than or equal to m. A particular attention is devoted to the subsemigroups containing non-trivial subsemigroups of "subtractive" elements.
Design and Production of Clamps for Mandrels ISO 40
Tomešek, Viktor ; Kalivoda, Milan (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
Main aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design and product clamp for mandrel ISO 40. This clamp will replace the other one, which is used in the milling workshop C2 on BUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. It will ensure easier and faster operator’s work during tool change. Also manufacturing process, selected material and cutting conditions are described in this thesis. Theory necessary for an understanding of the issues is stated in introductory section. In the final part, there is executed technical-economical evaluation with the overall costings associated with the production of the clamp for mandrel.
Numerical Modelling of the Light Source
Pavelka, Adam ; Koňas,, Petr (referee) ; Kadlec, Radim (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with photometry units used in light engineering. There are defined the methods of modelling the illumination systems, their advantages, disadvantages and possibilities of using. Furthermore, the thesis deals with modelling of two illumination systems by ray-tracing in programming environment of MATLAB. The master’s thesis describes the analysis of the problem and the program designing process. Acquired model results are then compared with the real measurements of both illumination systems which allow the discussion of the results and the deviations of the models.
Draft tube role in hydraulic turbine performance
Havlát, Pavel ; Himr, Daniel (referee) ; Rudolf, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with the problems of draft tube. It contains basic description of draft tubes, their division and possibilities of their utilizations. Further, this thesis focuses on description of draft tubes, their efficiency, losses and ways to eliminate these losses. One part of this work also mentions basic relationships required for computing length of draft tube, velocity of the fluid in the draft tube and others.
