School results as a form of stress for children from the point of view of pedagogical staff
BENEŠOVÁ, Kristýna
This bachelor thesis deals with school achievement as a burden on children. It is divided into 2 parts- theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, it deals with the factors of burden, it deals with the role of the child, the psyche of younger and older school children, the evaluation of children, motivation, school success and failure. It also deals with problems and obstacles that are currently affecting a child's school success. In the practical part, it focuses on the assessment of children in classical education and alternative schools such as Montessori and Waldorf. It compares and evaluates the benefit of the children of these schools and discusses the types of children's assessments, uses the quantitative research strategy in the form of questioning, using a questionnaire of its own design, which was submitted to pedagogical staff of selected schools - Základní škola Zlatá stezka 240, Základní škola Národní 1018 Montessori classes and Základní škola Svobodná Písek. The educational process of students is the essential component of every child's life. Every child is ready for compulsory schooling individually, so we need to focus on what type of person children are and what level of self- confidence are they on. Therefore, in the theoretical part, I will focus on the basic concepts relating to school success and the failure of students in younger and older school age. It is important to outline the student's role, motivation, class environment, a student's school assessment, teacher's attitude and the impact of school failure on student's behavior. I will compare verbal assessment with grade assessment focusing on children's achievements in classrooms of the classical education system as well as of the Waldorf and Montessori class systems. At the end of the theoretical part of the thesis I will also focus on the current state of solved problems, on which basis I will move on to the main part of this thesis, the empirical part.
"Just let it be a healthy child!": Parenting in the Context of Caring of a Child with a Chronic Illlness
Tampierová, Lenka ; Sokolová, Věra (advisor) ; Ezzeddine, Petra (referee)
My diploma thesis deals with issues of gender relations and the construction of identities of lived experiences of parents caring for a child (children) with a chronic illness. For my qualitative research, I have chosen the method of semi-structured interviews with both parents of the child (children). Subsequent analysis of the data in this empirical study examines the way in which care for a child with chronic illness affects, due to its demanding character, gender relations and whether it leads to more balanced gender relations or vice versa. I also deal with the process of identifying both parents in the day care of a child with chronic illness in the context of a combination of paid work and home care and children. In my work, I see how my communication partners are conceptualizing the chronic illness of the child as a differentness and the care of a child with a chronic illness as a burden. I focus on the emotional plane of parenthood and also analyze the processes of negotiation within different institutions (health and education organizations, state authorities). Key words: Chronic illness, child, parenthood, differentness, burden, care, gender relations

Broučková, Eliška ; Hrachovinová, Tamara (advisor) ; Šturma, Jaroslav (referee)
Taking care of seniors with dementia in the home environment can prove itself difficult not only for the individuals burdened with the main caretaking, but it is also challenging for their close family relationships. There is usually some way of sharing the care in the families, where more family members are put into a caregiver's position. Based on the semistructured interviews with the family caregivers this paper describes the alterations of the family relationships and the forms of support between the family members, as well as the common conflicts and rejections. The issue is being described from the point of view of the caregivers with a direct, actual and long-time experience in the home caregiving. Also the data of the interviews has been shortly compared to the information retrieved from the anxiety, depression and burden inquiries, all collected among the respondents.
