Comics as the medium of the artistic expression

The dissertation (diploma thesis) with the topic "Comics as the medium of the artistic expression" consists of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part represents a definition of the comics, its short history and some important terms of the comics terminology. Next this part concerns with specific narrative constructions of the comics medium and also describes functions and cooperation of the visual and verbal components. In the individual charter is shortly described Japanese comics (manga), its characteristic and different aspects against the classic European and American comics. The end of the theoretical part is dedicated to the theory of the artistic expression and its particular elements, which are used in the comics. The practical part comprising the analysis of two classic comics works and one Japanese manga. Namely it is The Crow, The Crow: Skinnig the Wolves and The City of Light. These works were chosen intentionally because of their technical, thematic and cultural aspects, so the analysis can work with the wider scale of the artistic elements. Comparison of Psychological and Artistic Aspects in the Artwork of Preschool Age

The aim of the diploma work is the identification of the common as well as the different aspects of children's drawings from both the artistic and developmental perspective. The goal of this thesis is to assemblele a record sheet on theoretical and empirical knowledge, which could also serve as a guide for kindergarten teachers when handling children's drawing. The theoretical part is split into two chapters: the development of personality of a preschool child, where the developmental stages from prenatal to preschool age are described; and children's drawing describing the progression, characteristic features, most common motifs and their possible utilisation in practice. The empirical part deals with qualitative research of preschool children focusing on analysis and comparison of children's drawing. An important part of the thesis is the record sheet, which is included in the empirical part.

This thesis deals with the artistic expression of handicapped children. The first part is devoted to the theoretical background of the topic. Provides basic information about children's artistic expression. It deals with the use of creative expression for educational and therapeutic purposes. Describes some of the current knowledge about artistic expression of children with disabilities. A substantial part is devoted to research in the field of artistic expression of children with disabilities. The survey has a qualitative character and features of action research. It focuses on a specific group of children of primary school age. It seeks to describe and identify any specifics in their artistic process and outcome. Findings of fact submitted by the stories of children that reflects their individual expression (not only artistic). The work also showcases the contemporary art form of special education in the chosen institution. Based on interviews with teachers and personal experience with art education for children with disabilities writer looking for a suitable pedagogical approach. The motivation of preschool children for art and graphic activities during the free games

The Bachelor thesis deals with the motivation of preschool children to art and graphic activities; with what might motivate them to draw when playing games in the kindergarten. The theoretical part, which proceeds from the stated literature, is focused on the development of artistic expression and graphomotorics of preschool children. Attention is paid to the issue of motivation, but also to playing as a method of early childhood education and the role of a teacher in art-related games. The practical part of the thesis describes specific situations when children were motivated in creative ways. Reactions of individual children from a selected group on being motivated to focus on drawing are recorded and described. The practical part, therefore, includes suggestions on how to develop the drawing skills of preschool children.

The Bachelor thesis examines the possibilities of using art therapy on an adult male with organic psycho-syndrome. The aim of the thesis is to determine the effectiveness of individual art therapy in reduction of stress in a patient, who has been a victim of changes in the area of emotional perception and disorder of cognitive functions, connected with personality changes including changes in behaviour and motor-disorders. The aim is related with finding a new meaning of life, development of cognitive skills and abilities and better manages of unpleasant emotional frame of mind. It was discovered that individual art therapy method induces desired therapeutic change.

The bachelor thesis deals with possibilities of art therapy with a group of pre-school children. It is divided into a theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part consists of three main chapters. The first chapter is focused on specifics of the preschool period. It defines preschool age and describes developmental traits of a preschool child. The second chapter concerns preschool child's artistic expression. The last part deals with the art therapy work with preschool children. The practical part refers to a long-term art therapy work with a group of preschool children and describes the searching for the most acceptable inclusion of art therapy into the common run of a kindergarten. It reviews chosen art techniques and themes and the casuistry is focused on the chosen child's artistic expression variability with a reflection into other fields of expressions.

This bachelor thesis is focused on the work of art of children and adolescents with somatic problems. The goal of this thesis is to find out the specifics of artistic expressions of children and adolescents with somatic diseases.The theoretical part deals with somatic disease and its impact on the psyche of the child, the characteristics of the child's artistic expression, the diagnostic aspects of the artistic expression and the knowledge of the child's with somatic disease drawing.The practical part is based on my personal experience with the artistic creations of children and adolescents with somatic diseases admitted to the paediatric department. Artistic works with children and adolescents in the hospital became an incentive for asking these questions: What are the common features of the artistic expressions among children and adolescents with long-term chronic diseases? What are the common features of the work of art among children and adolescents with paroxysmal diseases?Are there the differences in the work of children and adolescents with long-term chronic diseases in comparation with the work of children and adolescents with paroxysmal diseases? In the practical part I expound the work of art of children and adolescents with somatic problems, try to find out the common features in their artistic expressions and to answer the asking questions.
Art therapy as a supportive method of integrated pupils

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of art therapy as a supporting method for the integration of pupils with learning disabilities at elementary schools. The thesis answers the question of how to effectively incorporate art therapy in the integration of disadvantaged pupils, specifically in the system of the individual care and in reeducation. It assesses the suitability of various methods and forms of work with this target group. To the elementary school teachers, the thesis shows concrete examples of the use of art therapy as a measure of support for children with special educational needs. The efficiency of art therapy is validated by the observation of artistic progress of a sample group of children. The author concludes that art therapy can be incorporated among supportive methods for children with special educational needs. Along with reeducation of learning disabilities, elementary schools should make use of art therapy.
