Advanced filaments for FDM/FFF 3D printing
Kučera, Jan ; Vespalec, Arnošt (referee) ; Koutecký, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of FDM/FFF 3D printing with a focus on rapidly evolving new filaments and their use in industry. The aim of this work is to display a large number of filaments that have been tested and to categorize them into individual groups for future use. Selected tested materials from scientific studies address both the mechanical properties of individual pure filaments and the effect of additives to these filaments. The analysis of these works then showed that the effect of carbon fiber varies according to the type of base material and the weight percentage of filling. From a practical point of view, the results of this work can be used in the choice of material for printing models and prototypes for own usage.
Use of additive technologies (3d print) for the production of turbine components
Vaculka, Alexander ; Chýlek, Radomír (referee) ; Šnajdárek, Ladislav (advisor)
In the first part of my bachelor thesis I deal with types of additive manufacturing technologies. Describing principle, technological solutions, bring up some advantages and disadvantages and typical area of their usage. Following part describes chosen turbine components and their mechanical property, shapes, and manufacturing aspects. Last part compares mechanical properties of additive manufactured components with components produced in conventional ways.
Production line optimalization by using SLS aditive technology
Nakládalová, Tereza ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This diploma thesis is focused on additive manufacturing, especially on technology Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) and the implementation of additive manufacturing into existing departments of industry, where current elements of systems are supplemented or directly replaced by new parts produced by these technologies. This thesis solves specific project of manipulation unit for manufacturing line. The main goals of the issue are analysis of current construction design and its deficiency, designing and optimalization of this unit in relation to SLS manufacturing technology, product realization and final evaluating of reached results. Part of the thesis is also design documentation.
Innovation of the Rep Rap 3D Printer
Zítka, Lukáš ; Zemčík, Oskar (referee) ; Sedlák, Josef (advisor)
The present Master thesis is focused on innovation and verification of the functionality of a 3D RepRap. The theoretical part of the thesis characterizes individual additive technologies. The practical part is focused on the design of the technical modifications of the printer in order to achieve the quality of the printing, while the current 3D printer design is compared with the innovative solution. The practical part tests the setting of print parameters, various materials for 3D printing and necessary finishing operations. The thesis is completed
3D Lattice Structures for Application in Selective Laser Melting technology
Červinek, Ondřej ; Škaroupka, David (referee) ; Vrána, Radek (advisor)
Additive technologies allow manufacturing of components with very complex shapes which are difficult to manufacture with conventional technologies. Among these technologies belongs the Selective Laser Melting (SLM). Suitable applications of SLM include manufacturing of light-weight 3D structures like lattice structure or an organic geometry called gyroid. This bachelor thesis is focused on creation of models of gyroid structure and its application to parts followed by manufacturing with SLM. Series of models were made with mathematical software. Implicitly defined equation were used for better geometry coordination of created models. Options utilization and manufacturability of gyroid structures were tested within application into turbocharger impeller. At the end of this thesis was successfully manufactured the impeller including two types of gyroid structure (single-gyroid and double-gyroid)
Prototype part and made by method rapid prototyping
Kočárek, Karel ; Dvořáček, Jan (referee) ; Kalivoda, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with prototype stage during development of reduction part for gas flow control, which is positioned in gas boiler downstream of the valve. Thesis is focused on additive manufacturing. Basic technologies, their attributes and procedures which are necessary to be followed are described here. Practical part is composed of 3D model creation in CAD software, export of model to STL format and its inspection for compactness. After that 3D model is sent to printer and functional components are made, that can be used for application verification and for detection of possible design deficiencies before the mold assembly is made.
