This work examines the influence of load on heart rate variability, and a description of the mechanisms influencing changes in heart rate, response to load. There is a review of methods used to assess heart rate variability. In another part the data of the measurement are processed and described the proposed method using spectral power, generated by the algorithm description, presentation of results.
Examination of vegetative system in hereditary neuropathy

Aim: The aim of this thesis "Examination of vegetative system in hereditary neuropathy" is to consider the level of physical fitness, physical actvity level and quality of autonomic function in patients with hereditary neuropathy Charcot Marie Tooth and an assessment of interactions of these parameters, especially with regard to possible influence by the presence of autonomic neuropathy and with regard to neurological symptoms. Background: Although vegetative neuropathy was mentioned in the first publication about CMT, it is not widely discussed topic as part of it. Methods: Seventeen probands underwent spiroergometry, heart rate variability test, six minute walk test, rating by the CMT Neuropathy Score and Overall neuropathy disability scale and completing the IPAQ questionnaire. Results: We found symptoms of autonomic neuropathy in group of patients with CMT, especially high-frequency part of heart rate variability spectrum has a particularly significant decrease. Patients with autonomic neuropathy have shown a low fitness and functional capacity, tendency to obesity and hypertension. The observed correlation of autonomic neuropathy and neurological impairment was very weak. Thesis analyzes necessary concepts to understand electrophysiology of heart, mechanisms affecting heart beats, respiratory identifides methods for detection of respiratory frequency presents in electrocardiogram, proposes own measurement protocol of the influence of respiratory rate on electrcardiogram, implements detection of respiratory rate of the measured records, compares the measured results
Measurement and analysis of cardiovascular parameters

This bachelor´s thesis illustrates the basic diagnostic procedures for ECG analysis in clinical practice. It contains the verification of statistical hypotheses, automatic detection of the RR intervals using three different QRS detectors and heart rate from the ECG und other analyses in time and frequency domain. The validation of detection efficiency is investigated. Heart rate variability analyses are shown in time and frequency domain too. Analyses are done in Matlab, the graphical interface in Maltab GUIDE was done too and includes all of the created functions in time and frequency domain. For the purpose of evaluation methods the real data were measured according to the created acquisition protocol.
Methods for the evaluation of heart rate and arterial blood pressure variability

The bachelor thesis deals with methods for description of heart rate variability and arterial blood pressure. An important mechanism for maintaining homoeostasis in the body is so called baroreflex feedback loop, which allows for a short-term regulation of blood pressure. The thesis contains description of methods which are currently used for baroreflex sensitivity evaluation. Analysis in time domain as well as in frequency domain was done using programs in Matlab environment. At the end of the thesis the influence of ventricular extrasystoles on output parameter is evaluated.

Scanning a analysing of heart electrical activity and blood pressure before and after the load

The aim of bachelor’s thesis is familiarization with anatomy and physiology of heart, with setting to electrical activity, scanning EKG before and after the load with Biopac system, scanning of blood pressure before and after the load with auscultation, statistical analysis of acquired data and presentation of measured data in graphical interface Guide of Matlab system. According to the protocol of measurement, scanning of heart electrical activity with the Biopac system, and scanning of blood pressure, with auscultation, was realized before and after the load. Measured data was statistically analyzed with t-test to verify hypothesis, that there is an influence of the load on the watched parameters, and to show the process of statistical verification. Application of this method assumes normal distribution of data, that’s why data was at first tested by Chi-squared and Kolmogorov-Smirnov test to verify their normal distribution. In the next step data was imported into Matlab system. The presentation of measured data is realized in graphic interface Guide. The program contains time domain and spectral analysis, automatic detection of heart rate and analysis of heart rate variability.
Mobil system for monitoring of sports activity

The aim of this master’s thesis is to analyse methods that are used for monitoring athlete’s activities and a description of current technical solutions with a focus on heart rate and respiratory rate monitoring. The presented solution shows the possibilities of using available open source SW and HW technologies and their implementation in the design of an integrated tool for monitoring sports activities with the iOS operating system.
