Evaluating and modeling of fouling process in heat exchanger
Čirka, Martin ; Kilkovský, Bohuslav (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
This diploma thesis discusses fouling processes and mechanisms of industrial heat exchangers, with focus on shell side fouling of heat transfer area by flue gases, and eventually taking fouling into account, or more precisely its modeling and predicting by calculation. Thermal-hydraulic design of heat exchanger is focused mainly on shell side, as flue gases are dominant process medium in terms of fouling and heat transfer. Based on available operational data of evaluated industrial heat exchanger, specific process has been developed to determine by calculation, or more precisely predict change of fouling factor throughout operational period of heat exchanger. Usage and various options of this specific calculation technique are being discussed in conclusion, whether there is a potential to use this technique regarding more complex operational inputs or prediction of fouling process for different operational regime of heat exchanger.
Heat exchanger design
Vašíček, Jan ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a cooling water – water heat exchanger. The content of the work is the basic sorting and description of the heat exchanger. Next it includes calculation and design of geometric dimensions, calculation of pressure losses in the tubeside and shellside and calculation of the actual output of the heat exchanger. This work also contains the drawing documentation of the designed heat exchanger.
Heating system of the student hotel
Peichl, Petr ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The bachelor´s thesis presents a central heating system project intended for student dormitories. Theoretical part outlines fundamentals of central heating, its specifics and challenges. Practical part describes the heating system project itself in detail.
Heating system of polyfunctional house
Hladík, Juraj ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is the theoretical part of circulatory pumps. Computational part solves the design of heating and hot water heating in the polyfunctional house in Moste in Bratislava. Three-storey multifunctional house is situated on the outskirts of the city. It contains a total of 4 apartments and 8 office spaces for 64 people. The source of heat for the object is gas condensing boilers. The heating surfaces are plate radiators, tubular heating of the body.
The effect of boiler tube bundle fouling on its service life
Volná, Kateřina ; Ing. Zdeněk JŮZA, Ph.D., MBA (referee) ; Naď, Martin (advisor)
Fouling of tube bundles in boilers on the flue gas side affects not only the service life, but also the boiler heat output and increases maintenance and operating costs. Therefore, it is necessary to minimize or completely eliminate this process. This thesis focuses on comparison of the service life and the heat output of the tube bundles with and without deposit in the coal fired boiler. Simulations of flue gas flow in area of tube bundles with and without deposit are performed using ANSYS Fluent software, which shows that the surface of tube bundles with deposit is much less heated than the surface without deposit. The thermal loads of tubes obtained by the CFD analysis are applied to the model, which is created in the program ANSYS Mechanical, where the calculation of the temperature field in the cross section of the pipe is realized. The effect of fouling on creep life and heat output is then evaluated based on simulation results. The results show that fouling increases creep life, but significantly reduces heat output of heavily fouled tubes. Hence the flue gas flows at a higher temperature to the rest of the tube bundle, and the service life of those tubes will therefore probably decrease.
Heating of office building
Němečková, Radka ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is design of heating and warm waterpreparing in the office building. The building has two overground floors. A source of the heat for the building is a gasboilerroom with two condensation boilers. Heating surfaces are panel radiators and free standing convectors. There is forced ventilation installed in whole building.
Heating of a residential building
Balážová, Pavla ; Čupr, Karel (referee) ; Treuová, Lea (advisor)
This bachelor thesis consists of three parts - theoretical, numerical and project. In the theoretical part, different types of heating for apartment buildings are dealt with. The numerical part is focused on individual parts of the heating system in the apartment building. As the heat source a cascade of gas condensing boilers was chosen. A flat station is for heating warm water and its distribution to each dwelling unit. The technical report and detailed documentation are dealt with in the last project part.
Boiler efficiency and indirect heating of hot water
Matůšů, Ondřej ; Horák, Petr (referee) ; Počinková, Marcela (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with efficiency of heat sources and indirect heating of hot water. First part of this thesis is about heating of hot water, particulary indirect heating of hot water and it is all summarized in theoretical knowledge section. Second part deals with central heating and indirect heating of hot water in four floor flat house. The heat source for this object is cascade of two gas condensing boilers. In this building there are mostly used panel radiators. In the last, third part, I experimentaly deal with operational efficiency of heating sources with heating of hot water.
Heating of the production facility with administration
Bardarov, David ; Horká, Lucie (referee) ; Topič, Jan (advisor)
This Bachelor thesis consists of three main parts. The first one is theoretical and describes heating systems, their types and circulation pumps. The second part consists of calculations and describes heating framework and heating water in an industry hall with office in region Troubsko. It is a two-floor building with no basement. Both floors will be heated by board and tubular radiators. The source of heating will be two gas condensation boilers. There will be complete calculations and suggested important elements needed for running the whole system compiled in this Bachelor thesis. In the final part I processed technical report and drawing documentation.
Determination of fired heater heat duty
Slowik, Roman ; Babička Fialová, Dominika (referee) ; Jegla, Zdeněk (advisor)
The compilation and application of a new alternative method of calculating the heat duty of process tubular furnaces, published in the journal Chemical Engineering Research and Design, is the main objective of this work. The alternative method is processed in a suitable computational environment and the created calculation tool is subsequently applied to the given industrial cases of process tubular furnaces. An assessment of the accuracy of the new alternative method is performed on the basis of a comparison of the results obtained from the industrial cases with available results from commercial simulation software.
