Design od structure was prepared in three variants. The core bearing structure composed of three-joint arched roof beam create timber and steel lower beam, or solid wood of glulam timber. The third variant was work out in detail. Scia Engineer 2013 software has been used to create a three-dimensional model for the purpose of dimensioning each member and global analysis. Results obtained from the computer analysis were taken and double-chcecked with a hand assessment of the structure elements.

Timber load-bearing structure of sport hall
Leško, Adam ; Pešek, Ondřej (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with design and assessment of timber load-bearing structure of sport hall. Structure is designed on rectangle ground plan with dimensions 31 x 55 meters and with saddle roof. Main load-bearing system is created from three-hinged frames with curved frame corner and changing profile height. Frames are made of massive beams from glued laminated timber. Stability of load bearing structure in longitudinal direction is secured by system of steel bracing and purlins from glued laminated timber.

Steel structure of sport hall in Brno
Jedzoková, Patricie ; Horáček, Martin (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design and structural assessment of the steel structure of sports hall in Brno. The dimensions of a floor plan are 35x78 m and height 15,4 m. The structure consists of fourteen main trusses, the distance between them is 6 m. They consists of arched trusses, which are pin-supported by fixed columns. The main trusses are connected by purlins and girts. The spatial ridity of the structure is ensured by transversal bracings and longitudinal bracings. Kingspan panels are utilize fot the structure cladding.
Steel load-bearing structure of a sport hall
Hrtoň, Vít ; Horáček, Martin (referee) ; Balázs, Ivan (advisor)
The project's purpose is to create a design of a steel load-bearing structure of a sports hall with a floor plan measuring 30 x 63 m in dimension. The structure will be used for common indoor sports and consists of main trusses with parabolic chords and piston rods. The trusses are pinned on columns. The centre to centre spacing between the trusses is 9 m. The Columns are fixed to their bases. The Rigidity of the main frame is ensured by a sway and longitudinal bracing system. All bars are rolled steel profiles and are designed according to current ČSN EN standards. All elements are made from class S 235, S 355 or S 460 steel.

Frank, Ivo ; Barnat,, Jan (referee) ; Štrba, Michal (advisor)
The subject of this bachelor’s thesis is to design the steel roof structure of a sport hall in the area of city Jihlava. The plan dimensions of the structure are rectangural 45.200 x 40.300 m. The height of the structure is 15.150 m. The hall is designed by cylindrical roof. The main load bearing structure is created by arch lattice frame. The width of the frame is 40.300 m. The spacing of frames is 9.000 m. Frames are connected by lattice purlins‘. Purlins’are arranged radially. Longitudal rigidity of the structure is provided by transverse wind braces and upper beams of the purlins‘. Roof covering is made of roof panels laid directly on the purlins‘. The cladding is made of panels too. In the front of the structure is the cladding made by self-supported structure, which is not part of this thesis.
