Realization of fingerprint scanner
Kovář, Martin ; Sekora, Jiří (referee) ; Mézl, Martin (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the issue of scanning human fingerprints, which is currently very topical and represents the most widespread biometric technology. The theoretical part of the work acquaints the reader with basics of dactyloscopy and biometrics and concerns technologies used for fingerprinting, image preprocessing methods and commercially available contactless optical scanners. The practical part is a realisation of a contactless optical scanner based on a Raspberry Pi minicomputer, implementation of preprocessing algorithms in Python and testing of the device from the perspective of image quality.
Heart rate measurement
Jiřík, Ondřej ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This work deals with the measurement of heart rate parameters. One of the objectives of this work is a summary of methods for measuring heart rate, from which data can be derived heart rate and subsequently evaluated. Also deals with the accuracy of this parameter. It describes the basic characteristics of sensors and applicable in terms of sensitivity to movement. In the work is drawn design of a simple heart rate monitor with a range of 40-200 beats per minute. For the whole device is carried out by the proposal of the printed circuit board in EAGLE program.
Metrological characteristics of operative temperature sensor
Junek, Petr ; Janečka,, Jan (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
Aim of this work is to explain the concept of "operative temperature" and verify metrological characteristics of complex operating temperature sensor, which was completed at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering VUT Brno, by comparing with other measuring instruments. The work contains information about measurement and evaluation.
Respiratory rate measurement
Maršálková, Leona ; Harabiš, Vratislav (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with possible ways of measuring respiratory rate. It focuses on the description of the structure of device used to measure respiratory rate, including sensors, which are used for this purpose. In conclusion of theoretical part is mentioned the possibility of using respiratory rate measurement in medicine. This thesis also contains a description of respiratory rate sensor design using a thermistor sensor and implementation of virtual meter respiratory rate in LabView. The last part of this thesis deals with the evaluation results and practical application of this sensor.
Datalogger
Štupák, Branislav ; Bejček, Ludvík (referee) ; Beneš, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the datalogger development for monitoring roof constructions ambients of historical buildings. The device is made of microcontroller ATmega328P and is using simple principles of environment monitoring. The device saves measured data to SD card from air temperature, air humidity, light intensity, wood moisture and air flow sensors. In conclusion of the thesis are then succesfully tested and summarized the properties of designed datalogger’s sensors.
Trucks Mechatronic Systems
Černošek, Jiří ; Vopařil, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, Pavel (advisor)
Bachelor thesis deals with presents mechatronic systems, which are used in trucks. In the first part are described basic principles of mechatronic systems and components, of which they consist. The second part summarizes the most frequently used systems and describes some of them more in detail for their functional impact on vehicle properties. Third part explains the ways of modeling these systems together with their testing. In the last fourth part are stated the views to the future of mechatronic systems within the framework of autonomy.
Measurement uncertainties in calibration of vibration sensors
Pražák, Jiří ; Uher, Miroslav (referee) ; Šedivá, Soňa (advisor)
This thesis deals with the research of uncertainties of the vibration sensor calibration measurement. The analysis of individual calibration methods of vibration sensors is also carried out in this thesis. Next, measurement of uncertainties for secondary calibration of the vibration sensors are analysed. The experimental part of this work is focused on determining the influence of different elements to type A uncertainty of vibration sensors uncertainty calculation. Experimental measurement was performed in an accredited laboratory for measurement and calibration of vibration sensors at FEEC BUT. Calculation of uncertainties of secondary calibration is also carried out in this thesis.
Possibility of Measurement Automation
Ilichman, Ondřej ; Košíková, Jana (referee) ; Vdoleček, František (advisor)
The thesis is focused on the automation of measurement with the using of hardware and software. Efforts to objectification processes and eliminating human influence on the outcome are increasingly reflected in the technical fields of measurement. In this work, methods of measurement modification, transformation and subsequent analysis of the measured quantity are discussed. Since nowadays it is possible to automate nearly all types of measurement, it is shown, under what circumstances is appropriate to use automated measurements. The final section is devoted to solution of software and hardware design for measuring temperature in the server room. They are proposed 3 possible solutions and on the basis of their analysis the optimal variant is chosen.
Design of a signle-purpose machine for a control and measuring station for cabling
Bouchal, Tomáš ; Marek, Jiří (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
The task of this thesis is a design and a construction of a semi-automatic single-purpose machine. This machine is designed for testing seven types of wiring harnesses, which are going to be tested, whether they contain all needed parts. The machine also measures some parts of the harnesses. It is necessary to use more types of sensors in the design and the construction of the single-purpose machine. All controlling and measuring processes are automatic. An operator of the machine just inserts the wiring harness into a fixture, activates the program, then removes controled harness and puts it into the right box. The task of this thesis is solved in a cooperation with Mechatronic Design & Solutions s.r.o. company.
Monoclimate Incubation Chamber - Gas Regulation
Fabianová, Katarína ; Pánek, Libor (referee) ; Sekora, Jiří (advisor)
Cell cultures are grown in special incubators ensuring appropriate culture conditions for cell survival. The introduction of the diploma thesis is dedicated to the cultivation of cells in vitro and description of sensors, especially designated for the sensing of gas concentration. The main essence of this work is a project and realization of the monoclimatic incubation chamber for the incubation of cell cultures with the opportunity to observe them under a confocal microscope. Another part of this work is dealing with the project and application of autonomous sensing system and regulation of gas concentration (O2 and CO2) in the chamber. The nal part of thesis is dedicated to the presentation of the project correctness verication of the incubation chamber.
