Jonas, Jiří ; Pichrt, Jan (advisor) ; Tomšej, Jakub (referee)
Interní informace Abstract Title of thesis: The nature of the work of professional athletes with a focus on football This thesis deals with the issue of the status of professional athletes from the perspective of labour law with a detailed focus on professional athletes of collective sports, especially football players. The main question examined is whether the nature of the work of athletes in collective sports fulfils the characteristics of dependent work under the Labour Code or whether it is an independent activity. The first part of the thesis is theoretical and introduces the issues of sport and law. In the second part, the author examines the compatibility of sport and labour law and then discusses the position of the professional athlete from the perspective of the Czech legal system and the case law of the Supreme Administrative Court. The author concluded that professional athletes could act as employees or as self-employed persons and explained the advantages of these different statuses. On the issue of dependence, he concluded that the nature of the activity of a professional athlete in team sports fulfils such features, but that the Labour Code cannot be applied to these relationships because of some of its institutes, which the author described in his work. The third part of the lever is then...
Možnosti využití fyzioterapie u sportovních střelců
SOUKUPOVÁ, Iveta
Despite the fact that Czech sport shooters have been regularly winning medals from world championships in recent years, sport shooting is growing very slowly in popularity. This is reflected, among other things, like in the physiotherapy care, which is not widely spread among sport shooters. Physiotherapists that work with sport shooters can be found mostly only in the Czech national shooting team, but it is still not common for a physiotherapist to be part of the coaching staff team that goes to competitions with shooters. The prevalence and awareness of the possibilities of using physiotherapy in other, smaller, shooting clubs is not great. In my undergraduate thesis I have chosen to describe these very possibilities in order to spread this awareness among physiotherapists, shooters, their coaches and the general public. The thesis is divided into two parts. In the first, theoretical, part I describe sport shooting. I am engaged myself in rifle sport shooting and therefore my bachelor thesis is also led in this direction. Furthermore, I describe the health issues in sport shooting and selected possibilities of physiotherapy. The practical part consists of qualitative research of four shooters who have been involved in sport shooting for several years at a high level. The probands were subjected to an entry and exit kinesiology analysis with an interval of 6 weeks. During these, I met regularly with the probands at weekly intervals as part of the therapy and modification of an exercise unit that the probands were asked to practice at least 3 times a week. The results from these kinesiological analyses were then compared. The practical part includes the aforementioned exercise unit, which can be used by other sport shooters or their coaches.
Mix/Match
Hauke, Adriana ; Palaščak, Michal (referee) ; Manton, Ryan (advisor)
The project is centered around architectural design of a mixed-use building primarily tailored for residential purposes, with a specific focus on student accommodation. This decision is grounded in a thorough analysis of the surrounding area. I am proposing a design that integrates tennis club already existing on the site while introducing new functional elements. These include a café/bar, study spaces, interior sport hall with a padel court and a hostel. One of the tennis courts is on the ground and one is on a roof of the building. In my proposal, I am opening the site more to the public, allowing anyone to enjoy the views and atmosphere it offers, thereby creating a place for a community.
Pisárky boating center
Filatova, Natalia ; Obrtlík, Jan (referee) ; Májek, Jan (advisor)
The topic of the bachelor's thesis is the design adaptation of the area of the former water treatment plant in the Pisárky district of Brno for the creation of a new building for a water sports center, utilizing existing structures of settling tanks, and adjacent areas to establish a water sports center. The center's design also aligns with studies for the modification of the Svratka River channel and the creation of a water canal. The architectural concept aims to connect the exterior with the interior. The mass solution is derived from several key points. Firstly, the site is bordered by Pisárecká Street to the south and Žabovřeská Street to the east, intersecting at an overpass of a multilevel interchange. This creates a noisy space, making it essential to establish a "barrier" to create a private and quiet area for relaxation with a view of the river and Pisárky Hill. The sports center building echoes the shape of the streets, with the highest point of the building located at the overpass, and the roof descending along both streets. On these two facades with minimal glass surfaces, the river-facing facades connect to the surrounding nature with glass elements. Secondly, it was necessary to respect the facilities for water sports enthusiasts, situated closest to the river for easy access. Therefore, the water sports center is located several meters lower than the sports center building and is embedded into the terrain along Žabovřeská Street. Additionally, a waterfront area along the river and canal will be designed, connected by descending sidewalks to Pisárecká and Žabovřeská Streets. The shape of the building and the waterfront respects the form of the river and the water canal. This center will serve members of the water sports club and residents of all age groups.
Commercial center Miris Garden in Croatia
Uherková, Jana ; Vintr, Jan (referee) ; Novák, Petr (advisor)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the preparation of project documentation for building permits and documentation for construction implementation, based on the assignment provided in the 3rd year during the winter semester in the subject BGA 032 – Architectural Studio IV. The study focuses on the design of a new commercial center placed in the area of a newly planned holiday resort in Croatia. The addressed plot is located in the Croatian Dalmatia region, near the village of Stari Grad-Paklenica. Currently, the whole area is unused, undeveloped, and overgrown with wild vegetation. The architectural concept aims to create a building that responds to the sloping terrain of the plot and provides its future visitors with a sense and atmosphere of Croatian architecture. This is achieved through the use of stone cladding and wooden shading elements, which are typical materials for this region. The irregularly shaped building consists of two above-ground floors. The first floor is used for dining, commerce, and sports, while the second floor accommodates dining, services, administration, and entertainment. In contrast to the first floor, the second floor is more shallow, creating a walkable terrace from which individual units are accessible. The terrace also features outdoor seating for gastronomic establishments, complemented by wooden pergolas with sliding fabric shading. One of the dominant elements of the complex is the outdoor staircase connecting both floors. It is not only a guiding element but also reveals views of the sea and the setting sun. The design also emphasizes public spaces. In the front area of the commercial center on the northeast side, the space is divided into green islands with seating. These green islands, along with a water feature, complete the square in front of the commercial center facing the sea. The area also includes wooden pergolas with sliding fabric shading, resembling waves of the sea, providing a unique atmosphere.
Aquatic centre
Kudelová, Aneta ; Řehák, Filip (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis, entitled Aquatic centre, deals with the design of a three-story building for water sports activities. The site of the proposed building is located in the city district of Brno - Pisárky on the land of the former wastewater treatment plant, on whose existing reinforced concrete structure it is also designed. The building consists of one underground and two above-ground floors. The building includes a pool hall with a 50-meter swimming pool, a whirlpool, a non-swimming pool and a children's pool. A wellness center with a small fitness facility is planned on the second floor. There are eight saunas in the wellness area, two of which are steam, three whirlpools and two cooling pools. Two of these hot tubs and one cooling pool are designed in the spaces of the outdoor terrace. These facilities are connected by a central cloakroom. The building also includes spaces for the clubhouse of the rowing club and a storage room for canoes. The structure of the building is divided into two parts: a wooden structure made of slatted beams and columns for the pool hall and a reinforced concrete skeleton structure with perimeter reinforced concrete walls for the rest of the building. The roof is an L-shaped counter with a vegetation layer. In the middle of the building there is an outdoor atrium, also with a vegetation layer. Most of the building, apart from the glass facades, is covered by an external metal facade with added vegetation.
