Revision and implementation of the 5S system in the production process of Bosch Rexroth, spol.s.r.o
Weidenhöfer, Jan ; Řiháček, Jan (referee) ; Štroner, Marek (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the process of revision and implementation of one of the many tools of lean manufacturing – 5S – in the production environment of the selected industrial enterprise Bosch Rexroth, spol. s r. o. In the introduction, the reader is briefly acquainted with the history and scope of the parent company Bosch and Bosch Rexroth. The following research part is devoted to a theoretical introduction to the current concepts of organization and management of the production process with emphasis on the description of the philosophy of lean manufacturing and its individual tools and components, especially in detail the 5S tool. The main part of the work are chapters dealing with the description of the current situation in the selected industrial enterprise, analysis of deviations from the current 5S standards and the proposal of new 5S standards, including the definition of new control mechanisms. At the end of the work is a technical and economic evaluation of the proposal.
Lean Management of a Selected Part of a Production System
Schwarz, Adam ; Varjan, Matúš (referee) ; Bartošek, Vladimír (advisor)
The work is focused on improving the concept of lean management in a selected engineering company, where analyzes are performed with the help of selected methods and tools to reveal current problems. The data are then processed and based on them, measures for change are proposed with an emphasis on minimizing the rate of waste of time and costs and increasing production efficiency.
The Study of Effectiveness of the Use of Machines in the Selected Operation
Kašpárek, Jan ; Tesař, Rostislav (referee) ; Jurová, Marie (advisor)
The thesis focuses on the study of the effectiveness of the production line in selected company. The aim of this work is to find bottlenecks in production and provide solutions to find time savings. The production line was analysed in terms of time efficiency and the results of the analysis are countermeasures to increase time efficiency of the production line.
Benefits of Product Manufacturing Optimalization

Lastly, there are listed practical solutions for the implementation of selected tools of lean production.
Rationalization of the production line
Straka, Jiří ; Štipčák, Jaroslav (referee) ; Osička, Karel (advisor)
This masters thesis optimises production of the step plates (which are parts of the sliding steps systems used in tramways, subways, hi-speed trains etc.) to increase the production rate to meet customers demand. The purpose of the work was reached by detailed analysis of the production process followed by evaluation of the results which led to the list of the possible solutions. The solution with the greatest time improvement was chosen and explained in detail.
Rational process for the testing of powered door operation for rail vehicles
Grulichová, Jana ; Navrátil, Petr (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
This master´s thesis focuses on possible rationalization of the testing operations the door drive units of the rail vehicles. The aim is to propose solutions to increase productivity and reduce operating costs. The first section briefly describes the history and basic principles of lean manufacturing. The following is the description of the assembly and testing of the door drive units including the analysis of the current state of testing workplaces. The following section identifies critical areas and reserves that could be used to increase productivity. In next chapters are proposed kinds of rationalization, their evaluations according to the cost of implementation and the possible achieved effects. Chosen variant is elaborated in more details. The last part deals with the economic evaluation and verification of the proposed method in conditions of the real production.
