Provisioning implementation in Asterisk open source PBX
Král, Jan ; Bartl, Milan (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis "Implementation of provisioning service in Open source PBX Asterisk" deals with a general description of the provisioning service and the options of it's implementation in Asterisk PBX based on the capabilities of the PBX and the endpoint devices for VoIP telephony connected to it. The theoretical part of the thesis also contains a brief description of all the protocols and services needed for successful operation of the service in the particular scenario of implementation described in the thesis. A short introduction and requirements for the designed application are also described. The practical portion of the thesis is focused on instalation and setup of the Asterisk PBX and the provisioning service itself on a virtual server running the CentOS operating system. It also contains all the settings of the server, additional services run on the server, the Asterisk PBX and also the settings of the endpoint devices needed for correct operation of the service. A thorough description of the designed and developed web application for management of endpoint devices for VoIP telephony is also contained in this part.
Securing IP PBX against attacks
Hynek, Luboš ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This master project focuses on the possibilities of protecting the most common free software PBX Asterisk, FreeSWITCH and YATE. In practice, it was verified the behavior of PBX in the attacks and suggested protection against them on one of the most popular distributions of Linux server on CentOS. Tool was created to simulate several types of attacks targeting denial of service. Both protective options PBX themselves and operating system capabilities are used in this work. Comparison was also the possibility of protection of individual PBX with each other. It also includes a brief description of the protocol, topology attacks and recommendation for the operation of softswitches.
Automated accounting system of phone calls
Kondler, Radim ; Kováč, Dominik (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the numbering plan, PBX, tariffs, draft disable tariff system and its possible extensions. Within numbering plans work deals with shapes of national and international figures, describes different types of these numbers, description of the structure and definition of fields, including the length of these fields. Within countries and regions of the Czech Republic are given individual prefix for both fixed and mobile networks. There are mentioned special shapes that are different in length compared to standard types. All these types of shapes are listed according to ITU-T. Within the exchanges are given generation switches, PBXs use within the telephone network and a description of the selected functions. Furthermore, there are kinds of pricing and options of valuation call. The work contains a description of automated acconting system, according to the principle of work of the program and a description of the individual steps and functions that thanks to the cooperation process individually each calls, convert numbers to international form, assigns the call tariff and appreciate the call according to the tariff. Finally, there are described possible extensions of this automated acconting system.
Testing of IP PBX resistance against attacks using Spirent Avalanche tester
Zelenay, Martin ; Šedý, Jakub (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This work explores, analyzes and rate infuence of VoIP attacks on open source pbx functionality. It describes how voice over IP attacks are achieved according to security standards. There are described concepts and basics of VoIP networks with orientation on facts necessary to understand analyzed actions and measurements in theoretical part. In practical part, there is described realization of attack tests according to instructions with first orientation on initial checking of testing device, pbx’s and security attack possibilities and then complex creation and testing of attack scenarios types such as fuzzing and denial of service attacks.
Home VoIP
Bílek, Tomáš ; Ščuglík, František (referee) ; Ráb, Jaroslav (advisor)
The thesis explores practical applications of VoIP technology at home, in combination with the opensource private branch exchange Asterisk. A substantial part of this work is the documentation of the functioning of the main parts of public switched telephone networks (PSTN) and VoIP networks. Also described are the principles of voice digitization, commonly used codecs and several VoIP protocols. The last part of the thesis focuses on the design, practical realization and verification of two home VoIP installations.
Driver design for custom analog user module in Linux OS
Brejcha, Martin ; Sysel, Petr (referee) ; Molnár, Karol (advisor)
This master's thesis describes how to develop loable kernel module for operating system Linux. Module can be use like driver for concrete hardware device. In this case for telecommunication hardware. The second part of this thesis describes how to implement support for this hardware in Asterisk PBX. Support in Asterisk is realized by channel module. In that channel module are implemented functions for process incoming and dialed calls.
Design and implementation of web interface for PBX Asterisk
Janda, Lukáš ; Koutný, Martin (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is dealing with creating a web interface for managing and configuring software PBX Asterisk. User can use application after autentization. The application is divided into a user section and administration section. For communication with PBX are used SQL tables.
Open source PBX FreeSWITCH
Hynek, Luboš ; Daněček, Vít (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the possibilities of using alternative soft-switch FreeSWITCH. It is verified the possibilities and difficulties of the installation (including expansion cards) onto the most popular Linux distribution, Ubuntu, in practice. The installation is described in such a way that we can get a functional PBX with secure communication using the SIP protocol, the routing of the analog phone and the primary circuit E1, if the procedure is followed. Emphasis is placed on communication security against eavesdropping on the route. It also contains a comparison of their options with the most Asterisk PBX software. It also includes a brief history and division of telephone exchange and transmission systems into generations. Finally there are two laboratory tasks designed to focus on the configuration of the SIP protocol PBX and the use of secure protocols during communication.
Testing of SIP implementations in open source PBX's
Papež, Nikola ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Šilhavý, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis examines and compares several selected libraries of SIP protocol, performance, stability, security and impact of their configuration. The main functions of the signalling protocol are briefly named at the beginning. The following chapters describe the tested PBXs and several stacks for SIP protocol are theoretically compared. The practical part deals with measurements conducted on the load generator Spirent TestCenter C1 which is used for all the performed tests on exchanges. All the mentioned SIP libraries, PBXs and the operating system on which the PBXs were running are open source software.
Videoconference potentials in PBX Asterisk
Vlk, Bronislav ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis deals with the possibilities of video conferencing in Asterisk PBX and their use in practice. They also described the contingencies and how its configuration. Particular attention is paid to the protocols SIP, IAX and H.323, which are described in one of the chapters. The thesis was created by the Asterisk PBX, which demonstrates cooperation with videoconferencing clients. The thesis describes the configuration files so that the central set. Conclusion the work assesses the use of codecs for different clients.
