Analysis of operating data from the student centre at the Faculty of Information Technologies
Suchá, Petra ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to the analysis of operating data from the Brewery, a former industrial building, which has been reconstructed to a student centre of the Faculty of Information Technologies. The main goal of the work was to analyze the performance of the building and to evaluate energy savings originating from the energy saving measures that were applied during the retrofit.. The first part of the thesis focuses on the particular energy saving measures and the predictions of energy savings. The second part presents the results of the monitoring of the building and the HVAC systems during the first year of the operation of the Brewery.
Impact of climate change on energy performance and indoor environment quality of buildings
Kalný, Richard ; Sánka, Imrich (referee) ; Weyr, Jan (advisor)
This thesis examines the impacts of possible climate change on selected buildings. For simulations in program BSim the author uses climatic data of SRES scenarios, specifically models B1, A1B and A2. It also includes a research on global warming, design and optimization of the measurement and control system at the production hall and a part of the energy audit for the office building.
Proposal of electrical equipment for soaking and drying cores for making castings
Čermák, Jiří ; Hájek, Vítězslav (referee) ; Veselka, František (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with proposal of electrical equipment for soaking and drying cores for making castings at foundry in a Great Britain. It brings look at system of technical norms ČSN and it compares it with british system of technical norms British standards. The second part of this thesis contains detailed proposal of this equipment, including specification of control system, specification of power supply cables and control cables and particular technological units. The whole project documentation is enclosed as an inseparable attachment of this diploma thesis.
Object-oriented software development
Maier, Stanislav ; Merunka, Vojtěch (advisor) ; Votruba, Zdeněk (referee)
The goal of my thesis was to develop an application in the selected object environment as firmware for single-chip computer. I created prototype of monitoring unit for greenhouses, with two controlled outputs, that would be accessible over the local network. Prototype was based on Arduino platform and from freely available components. Theoretical part of thesis describes the Arduino platform, Wiring language and environment and other used programing languages and communication standards. Practical part of thesis describes prototype of the monitoring unit with it's program code and client side web interface. At the end of thesis is the economic comparison of the developed prototype and existing equivalents on the market.
Cooling systems in buildings multipurpose buildings
Hobza, Lukáš ; Vlček, Petr (referee) ; Formánek, Marian (advisor)
This Bachelor Thesis deals with cooling systems of housing units and an adjacent wine shop. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on the principle of working ordinarily used cooling systems and options of productions of cold. The thesis describes advantages and disadvantages of individual systems. The result of the computational part is a design of the optimal cooling system for the multifunctional building which secures a diversion of a thermal load in a summer season and the overall design of the cooling system.
Building Management System
Application for Data Presentation and Modification in Mobile Devices
Kučera, Pavel ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Trchalík, Roman (advisor)
This thesis is aimed to study the possibility of usage of mobile devices in the sphere of automation. One automation company needed to have in hand some PDA-based tool for a remote control of the technological process. There is analysis of ability of contemporary portable devices to run a application software. According to the specified requirements there is designed and implemented the client-server system based on the VNC technology. The server is a Linux-based PC server implemented using Xinetd daemon and the Xvnc. The two standard VNC clients were made. A free software available under the GPL license was modified to implement them. One runs on Windows Mobile operating system and the other one is a Java MIDlet.

Test equipment for testing thermocontrol properties of thermostatic radiator valves
Štěpán, Tomáš ; Katolický, Jaroslav (referee) ; Štětina, Josef (advisor)
This master's thesis is focused on the design of a device for testing the thermo-regulating properties of thermostatic heads. The engineering design, design of testing device has been composed according to the standard EN 215: Thermostatic radiator valves – Requirements and test methods. Based on these designs, sensors and regulation elements, which are suitable for testing, have been designed. Last part of the thesis deals with operating the device and measurement procedure.
Variant solutions reconstruction of airconditioning systems in the laboratory
Faltys, Michal ; Andrys, Petr (referee) ; Rubina, Aleš (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the designing and assessment of two variants of the reconstruction of the air conditioning system for the half of 3rd floor laboratory building BioVendor – Laboratorní medicína a.s. company. The system is proposed to fulfil hygienic, operational, economic and functional requirements for indoor microclimate of laboratories. The task of this system is the transport of fresh air to interior and the covering of heat gains in summer. The equipment is also designed for the regulation of air humidity in the interior. The theoretical part deals with the application of heat penetration of solar radiation double glazed construction. Calculating and project part deals with the specific proposal of two variants of a new HVAC system-level studies of which the selected variant is developed as the project documentation. Experimental part is devoted to measuring of CO2 concentration in operationally similar laboratory. The result of this work is to evaluate the operational and economic impacts on the choice of technically feasible options and implementation documentation selected option. The benefit of the experiment is to verify sufficient air exchange to ensure the optimum concentration of carbon dioxide in laboratories.
