Segmentation of images with leaves of woody species
Valchová, Ivana ; Suk, Tomáš (advisor) ; Křivánek, Jaroslav (referee)
The thesis focuses on segmentation of images with leaves of woody species. The aim was to investigate existing image segmentation methods, choose suitable method for given data and implement it. The chosen method should segment existing datasets, photographs from cameras as well as photographs from lower-quality mobile phones. Inputs are scanned leaves and photographs of various quality. The thesis summarizes the general methods of image segmentation and describes own algorithm that gives us the best results. Based on the histogram, the algorithm decides whether the input is of sufficient quality and can be segmented by Otsu algorithm or is not and should be segmented using GrowCut algorithm. Next, the image is improved by morphological closing and holes filling. Finally, only the largest object is left. Results are illustrated using generated output images. Effect of water supply on structure and selected physiological parameters of leaf in woody species.
Horešovská, Michaela ; Lhotáková, Zuzana (advisor) ; Votrubová, Olga (referee)
Woody plants must cope with drought as it is one of the main factors of the ongoing climate change. The ability of woody plants to adapt to this stressor determines whether they will survive in constantly changing environmental conditions. The deciduous trees of European temperate forests are not as adapted to drought as Mediterranean trees and shrubs, and therefore the lack of water is a major stress for them. Leaf turned out to be the most flexible plant organ in its response to drought. The aim of this work is to summarize the knowledge about the effect of water deficit on the anatomical structure of leaf and its selected physiological parameters. The first part of this thesis is focused on the drought affecting European tree species and their various defensive strategies against this factor. It mainly describes the modification of leaf's anatomy structure as their defensive reactions observed in dermal, ground and vascular tissue. The second part of this thesis is devoted to the influence of water deficit on the selected leaf's physiological processes, especially on transpiration and photosynthesis, and the key role of stomata closure on both of these physiological processes. Drought causes changes in leaf anatomical structure and its physiological functions. The leaf's developmental stage at...
Diminutive Formation of Oikonyms in Bohemian
Martinkovičová, Barbora
The aim of the article is to originate the list of every documented diminutive oikonyms in Bohemian derived from inhabitant and possessive toponyms, describe word-forming types, chronological development and the way of their origin. The paper enables the comparison with the analysis of Rudolf Šrámek, who explored the diminutive oikonyms in the area of Moravian and Silesian. The paper shows, that the diminutive oikonyms in Bohemian are different in every explored aspects. The reasons for this state could be the larger expanse of the observed area and bigger colonization activity.
Ampelografický rozbor vybraných moštových odrůd z rodiny Veltlínů
Muchová, Eva
The aim of this diploma thesis was to study the available literature and to describe selected wine grape varieties from the Veltlín family using basic ampelographic methods. For these purposes, the varieties Veltliner rotweiss, Frühroter Veltliner and Grüner Veltliner were selected. During the year, the onset of individual phenophases was monitored, the leaves, grapes and berries of the varieties were collected and described. The work was focused mainly on the leaf. Descrtiptor List Genus Vitis L. was used for the description, only some descriptors were selected. The measurement results were evaluated using tables, graphs and basic statistical methods. Cluster analysis was used for statistical evaluation.
Vliv různé intenzity odlistění révových keřů na zdravotní stav hroznů
Vachek, Ondřej
This bachelor thesis concerns with the topic of partial defoliation of grape zone as well as the influence of this operation on health condition of grapes and qualitative parameters. The theoretical part of the thesis summarizes the information about grapevine leaves, leaf area, physiology of grapevine shrub as well as the knowledge about grapes, their chemicals and development. In the text there are described the ways of defolitation, dates of this operation and also the various intensity of defoliation as well as their total influence on quality and health condition of grapes. There i salso the experiment included, in which different variants of defoliation on Merlot variety are compared and evaluated. Finally, recommendations for practical use are given and described

Vliv termínu odlistění na aromatický profil vína Sauvignon blanc
Šťastný, Radek
The purpose of the thesis on topic Effect of date of defoliation on aromatic profile ´Sauvignon blanc´ wine was to find out the effect of removing leaves from grapes zone on qualitative and quantitative parameter of grapes of this species. The practical part of the experiment with defoliation in different terms was carried out during 2015 on a vineyard in Svatobořice-Mistřín. Part of the practical experiment was the production of wines from different variants and and evaluated the sensory properties of wine.
Vliv raného termínu odlistění zóny hroznů na kvalitu a zdravotní stav u bílých odrůd révy vinné
Pavlíková, Romana
This bachelor work focuses on timing, intensity and influence of defoliation on quality and physiology of grapevines. In the introduction, brief history of defoliation and mechanical devices used for defoliation are discussed. The main part describes an experiment testing different defoliation timing on Riesling grape quality. At the end of the main part, statistical analysis is presented. The experiment was done in the Mendel university vineyard, in Lednice, in the year 2015. In the end of the work, implications for planter praxis are discussed.
Posouzení druhové čistoty vybraných porostů uznaných za zdroj selektovaného reprodukčního materiálu v přírodní lesní oblasti 17 Polabí
Matějka, Ondřej
The thesis aims on the assesment of species purity of registered stands for procurement of forest reproductive material of category selected in natural forest region 17 Polabí. The species identity was studied on the sets of leafs collected from 2 x 30 sample trees (10 leafs collected per tree) along two independent transects. Leaf sets were ascribed either to pedunculate oak or sessile oak by means of the discimination function derived from the most typical leaf samples. Proportions of either oak species were determined by means of this function in the model registered stand. Along with the information about proportions of closely related oaks in the model stand, an amendment of common sampling design was proposed, and appropriate seed harvesting and handling in registered stands composed of closely related oak species is discussed.
