Making use of LMS MOODLE as an on-line support for teaching of the selected course.

The main goal of this thesis is to show use of LMS MOODLE tools as a support for Face to Face learning. This thesis shows that these tools, designed for distant learning, have their own didactical use in Face to Face teaching of the high school's subject Economy. The first part focuses on the topic of E-learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS) and using LMS in actual learning process. The second part contains the comparison of serval LMS and the basic analysis of the specific tools presented in the Economy course. In this course, created within the thesis, I proved that the tools have justified to be used.

The Moodle LMS in NTL

LMS Moodle patří mezi nejvyspělejší a nejrozšířenější systémy pro řízení elektronického vzdělávání vůbec. Cílem příspěvku je představit tento e-learningový nástroj z různých pohledů tak, jak jej běžně nevídáme a ukázat pokročilé a uživateli oceňované vlastnosti včetně speciálních rozšiřujících modulů. Příspěvek tak nebude zaměřen na šedivou teorii, ale zajímavé aspekty a ukázky využití LMS Moodle v reálné praxi.

Knowledge, Research & Education at University and in Industry

After twenty five years of experience in the research, education and industrial cooperation at the Czech Technical University in Prague, the author of this contribution left into the industry. Working in the field of research and technology development of the multinational high-tech company, he has received a complementary picture on the organization, methodology and control strategies governing the Knowledge, Research and Education (KRE) in the industry. With the personal experience from these two worlds, he will talk about contemporary approaches to the KRE at both the University and Industry. He will present state-of-the-art practices from Knowledge Management Control, planning, reviewing and efficiency metrics of Research, the application of Learning Management Systems, etc. Their brief discussion aims to answer the question: What can today's University learn from modern Industry and vice versa in favor of a future growth?

Analysis of educational portals on the Czech market

The thesis inquires into the area of electronic education in the form of educational portals. It aims to carry out a research of educational portals on the Czech market and subsequent analysis of the portals, which offer users the services for the support of education and schooling. The theoretical part of the thesis focuses on defining the terms of formal and non-formal education, describes examples of their usage. Furthermore, it deals with electronic education in the form of e-learning, defines e-learning from different points of view, and describes its historical development, forms and instruments. The work then analyses 17 portals, two of them in detail -- they represent both formal and non-formal education. The analysis offers information about portals' administrators, range of offered services as well as business models, used by the portals.

Use of e-learning technologies in schools with secondary level of education

This study is dedicated to the section of electronic education so-called e-learning and its specialization in schools with secondary level of education. The theory part of this study defines e-learning from different angles, describing the historical development of e-learning and also introducing suitable forms or resources of e-learning education for secondary schools. The practical part of study is summarizing the use of e-learning technologies in secondary level of education in the Czech Republic. Research was organized through the number of secondary schools in form of survey, results of which are graphically shown in the conclusion of the study.

Usage of information and communication technologies in the process of education

Táto diplomová práca ponúka čitateľovi ucelený pohľad do sveta vzdávania s využívaním najmodernejších technológií a moderných komunikačných zariadení. Vysvetľuje využiteľnosť dištančného vzdelávania v modernej dobe a poukazuje na jeho výhody a nevýhody. Popisuje jednotlivé systémy pre riadenie výuky (takzvané LMS) a jednotlivo ich rozoberá v analýze. Nezabúda ani na preskúmanie situácie v oblasti LMS v Českej Republike. Nakoniec predkladá kompletnú analýzu stávajúceho LMS systému spoločnosti Telefónica O2 Czech Repubic.
