Holeňa, Vít ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is about automotive differentials. The aim of thesis was to create an overview of various types of differentials, primarily self-locking. First chapter is dedicated to transmission of which the differential is a part of. Second chapter is about differential function in general. In third chapter, attention is paid to self-locking differentials, especially to Torsen differentials. Last of all, fourth chapter is about active differentials and systems, which help us to overcome disadvantages of differentials mentioned above.

DRAHÁ, Eliška
The bachelor thesis focuses on the current renaissance of the use of psychedelics in psychological research and practice. There is an overview of researches from 1965 to 2016 dealing with dying patients in the terminal stage of the disease. Backrounds: Former Czechoslovakia was known for the studies of halucinogens and their use in cure in psychiatric care. In the last couple of years LSD and other halucinogens have been coming to renaissance again. Nowadays researchers are returning to these theories and they are trying to follow these studies. In the Czech Republic according to studies conducted in 2002, 2004 and 2008, there was an increase in the use of all drugs in general population. For example there was an increase of 2.5 times more of use between 2002 and 2008 (from 2.2% to 5.6%). The same increase showed the use of halucinogen mushrooms that were monitored only in 2004 and 2008. Objectives: The main point of the whole research was to map aspects and patterns of the use of magic mushrooms and LSD and monitor the outcome on these patients, also monitor their physical and psychiatric problems. Psychedelics and mechanisms of their effect on the CNS
Vejmola, Čestmír ; Novotný, Jiří (advisor) ; Páleníček, Tomáš (referee)
Psychedelics represent the group of psychotropics, which induce characteristic cognitive, perceptual and emotional symptoms. They are represented by simple indolamines (psilocybin or DMT), ergoline derivatives (LSD), and substituted phenylethylamines (mescaline). This work with a systematic approach to the problem attempts to characterize the underlying basis of physiological effects of psychedelics in brain. After the general characterization of hallucinogens, among which psychedelics belong to, the first part is focused on the common psychological and physiological actions and risks associated with them. Follows the pharmacological characterization of selected representatives especially with regard to their origin, ways of administration, effects, distribution and metabolization in body. A large part is devoted to the description of G-protein-coupled receptors functioning. The principal part is the last one, which describes mechanisms of action of psychedelics at the cellular level such as well as in different brain regions.

Effect of addictive drugs on prenatal development
Hofmannová, Oldřiška ; Peterka, Miroslav (advisor) ; Peterková, Renata (referee)
Substance abuse is long-term worldwide problem. This thesis summarizes findings about the effects of stimulants, opiates and hallucinogens and focuses on the most commonly used illegal representatives of individual groups: cocaine, amphetamines, heroin and LSD. All these substances have negative effect on both mother and her fetus. Some of addictive substances can influence pregnancy and childbirth. There is also higher risk of fetus mortality and morbidity of the new born baby. Prenatal exposure to addictive substances could have influence on the birth weight, length, head circumference, its further growth and behavior. Some drugs can cause neonatal abstinent syndrome which can lead without prenatal care to death of newborn.

Sociological interpretation of hippies movement
Koropecká, Markéta ; Duffková, Jana (advisor) ; Sládek, Jan (referee)
My bachelor thesis explores the hippie movement, which emerged in the middle of the sixties in the United States of America. The theoretical framework consists of sociological concepts of culture, subculture, youth and youth subcultures, communities, communes and social movements. The hippie movement was young people's response to middle class consumerism, which preferred material prosperity to moral and cultural values. The American transcendentalist movement and the Beat Generation can be considered its intellectual precursor. The movement's main characteristic was rejection of middle class values. Therefore, some authors have called it a counterculture. Hippies gave up studies and tangible assets. Typical for them was lack of confidence in the future, interest in oriental philosophy and religion, close relationship to nature, specific clothing style, living in communes and the use of drugs, especially LSD. The movement dissipated at the end of the sixties. Its influence is still evident in the effort to fight for human rights, peace, free network, but also in music and clothing. Some of the hippie movement's ideas are the source of today's youth subcultures and movements. Key words: social movement, youth, community, hippies, LSD
