WordNet Database User Interface Innovation
Kopřiva, Adam ; Jaša, Petr (referee) ; Chmelař, Petr (advisor)
This thesis considers innovations of graphical user interface for JWord 3.0. It's a program, which works with electronic lexical database of English - WordNet. The words in this database aren't sorted in the alphabetical order like in usual dictionaries, but they are grouped to synonymic groups. These groups are then connected with different semantic relations. During the implementation design I have focused mainly on the speed of searching for informations about the entered word. This lead to the change of searching engine from searching in files to querying database. The resulting program is composed of two parts - program and graphical user interface. Program interface works with MySQL WordNet 3.0 database. User interface then shows meanings of the entered word and relations to other words (synonyms, antonyms, hyponyms, hypernyms).
Secure data transfer between multiplatform database servers
Navrátil, Jiří ; Janovič, Filip (referee) ; Lattenberg, Ivo (advisor)
This work deals with options of servers synchronization, possibilities of communication among client applications and database server. It also sets up solution using the application server and demonstrates its realization in common development environment.
Java EE Organizer
Černý, Petr ; Martinek, David (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
This thesis deals with applications for organization of time and contacts. It includes analysis of existing solutions, used architectures and brief characteristics of existing applications. Thesis also deals with developing a client application for Java EE applications, and discusses the basic technologies that are used in this eld (Swing, Java EE platform and its technologies). The practical part includes design and implementation of modules for managing contacts and tasks, which are incorporated into the demo application Java EE Organizer.
Design and Creation of Proxy for Penetration Testing
Válka, Michal ; Bláha, Lukáš (referee) ; Dydowicz, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis is aimed at design and development of proxy for penetration testing. The thesis is divided into three main parts and begins with a theoretical part, which is focused on fundamental technologies and principles on which the application is based. The second part is focused on comparison of currently available solutions. The third part contains the creation of the proxy itself. The last chapter contains a summary of this thesis and the benefits of the developed product for penetration testing.
New Layout Methods in a CSS Rendering Engine
Novák, Ondřej ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to explore the CSSBox experimental rendering engine, to study new ways of layout the content of web pages, which are Grid layout and Flexbox layout, using CSS language and to design appropriate modifications for their integration into CSSBox library. At first, the CSS language is described, including detailed descriptions of the new layouts, followed by a proposal for the solution itself. The thesis also deals with a detailed description of the implementation part, which is then tested on a test set. The conclusion of the thesis evaluates the results, including the reported shortcomings and other possibilities for development.
Grid Layout Implementation in a CSS Rendering Engine
Novák, Ondřej ; Bartík, Vladimír (referee) ; Burget, Radek (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to study the architecture of the CSSBox experimental rendering engine and propose a way to expand library with new options of grid layout content. The opening chapters contain an overview of problematics and subsequently a solution is proposed. The proposed architecture is implemented and tested. The conclusion is dedicated to evaluation of results and options futher development are outlined.
JavaME Group SMS Messaging Interface
Kubina, Tomáš ; Kubánková, Anna (referee) ; Kovář, Petr (advisor)
This Diploma Thesis have been describing possibilities of Wireless Messaging API, which are used for applications handling with Short Messages. It have been describing basics of programming language JavaME, basics of formating and sending SMS, detailed analysis of Wireless Messaging API, application, which is part of my diploma thesis and finally Security Politics of JavaME programming language.
Secure data transmition using bar codes
Kratochvíl, Martin ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Beran, Vítězslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to create a system for visual data transmition using bar codes. It focuses mainly on the protection of the system against abuse. A mechanism was designed for the data transmition itself and the various security concepts. The most appropriate bar code for data transmition was selected on the basis of the analysis.
Tool for Text Corrections
Zatloukal, Jakub ; Hradiš, Michal (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of this thesis was to develop a simple application, which would allow inscription of proofreading marks, annotations and more information into an electronic document. The interface of this appliaction should be intuitive and simple enough to be efficiently used without studying complex manuals or necessity of training by other person. Next requirement was, that proofreading information should be easily shared electronically. Resulting application is able to save all the proofreading information into a file separately from a document and to insert prepared proofreading marks. The file containing proofsheet is smaller than whole document. The test proved that application is intuitive, simple and visually friendly, but less practically usable. Its main benefit is simple and straightforward interface, which is in a certain manner adapted to proofreader's needs.
Goniophotometer
Ivor, Martin ; Janáková, Ilona (referee) ; Honec, Peter (advisor)
The thesis deals with the design of a goniophotometer and the GUI (Graphical User Interface), capable of evaluating the photometric parameters of light sources and luminaires. The introduction contains theoretical information about photometry, photometric parameters, light sources, lamps, as well as the theory of measuring these parameters, and basic globally used data formats, designed to store the parameters of light sources. The core of this thesis, then describes the hardware, that makes up the proposed device, and the software needed to control the measurement process, visualization and storing the results. The conclusion is an evaluation of the functionality of the described device, and the measurements that were mediated by it, and an overall summary of the results achieved.
