Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals to its Improvement

This bachelor's thesis deals with the topics of evaluating the financial situation of Brand Promotion CZ s.r.o. and suggestions for improving this situation. I worked with the company's financial statements from 2018 to 2022. Structurally, this work consists of two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part for a specific company. The theoretical part contains basic terms and indicators for financial analysis. Next, in the practical part, I calculate the given indicators and evaluate the subsequent results. In the last part of this work, I make my own proposals for improving the financial situation in the company.

Budget and Indebtedness of the City of Židlochovice

The diploma thesis deals with the budget and indebtedness of the city of Židlochovice. The first part contains theoretical starting points regarding the public sector and territorial self-governing units, describes their management, budgeting and indebtedness. The second part contains basic information about the city and the functioning of the city office. It deals with the management of the city, a detailed analysis of the income and expenditure side of the city budget for the year 2023, a description of the medium-term budget outlook drawn up for the period 2024-2028, and an analysis of the city's indebtedness for the period 2020-2023. In the third part, the possibilities of increasing incomes and the possibilities of reducing expenses are suggested, which should lead to a reduction of the city's total indebtedness.

Using financial analysis, the TOP PRINT Packaging s.r.o. company is assessed for the period of 2018-2022. The theoretical part contains a description of various methods and indicators, which are subsequently used in combination with data from the company's financial statements in the analytical section. The concluding part addresses proposals for improving the company's weak financial aspects.

The first part is theoretical and describes the necessary methods of financial analysis and economic terms, which are used as a basis for the second part. The second part contains the processed financial analysis, based on financial statements. Finally, possible measures and solutions to identified company issues are presented.

The first and introductory part defines the examined problem and sets the goal of the thesis and methodology, which will be used to achieve it. The second part is concerned with the definition of financial analysis problematics and its methods. The third section entails a presentation of the analyzed company followed by the practical analysis of its financial statements using the financial analysis tools. In the fourth part are formulated recommendations and proposals to improve the financial situation in the problematic areas.

The bachelor's thesis deals with the evaluation of the six largest companies in the automotive industry, in the period 2018-2023. This work is divided into three parts. In the first part, the key financial analysis tools for comparing companies are found. In the practical part, these tools are part of selected companies and comparisons between companies. In the design part, companies in the best financial situation are selected, from which a fictitious portfolio is subsequently compiled.
