Determination of selected parameters in foreign beers
Punčochářová, Lenka ; Pořízka, Jaromír (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is determination of selected polyphenols, organic acids and elements (major and minor) in a foreign beers. Production of malt, beer production, beer types and beer styles are described in the theoretical part. Also analytical methods of beer analysis such as high performance liquid chromatography, iont chromatography and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry are described. The Experimental part deals with preparation of samples and calibration solutions, setting devices up and analysis of foreign beers samples. There were analyzed 14 foreign beers of which 11 samples were top-fermented beers, 3 samples were bottom-fermented. Four samples were produced in Belgium, three in England, three in Germany, two in the US, one in Holland and one in Poland. The results give an overview of the contents of compounds in foreign beers.
Draft beer analysis by HPLC-ELSD and IC
Vanduchová, Petra ; Vespalcová, Milena (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis is discussed the brewing process and composition of the beer. The experimental part deals with analysis of polyphenolic compounds and carbohydrates by HPLC, analysis of organic acids by the IC and the ICP-OES method was used for analysis of elements. The HPLC method was used to determine eleven polyphenols. Gallic acid was the most represented compound of polyphenols and quercetin was the least represented compound. Glucose, fructose and sucrose were analysed by HPLC and the most represented compound of carbohydrates was glucose. The ICP-OES method was used to determine ten elements. Zinc was the least represented element in the analysis and phosphorus and potassium were the most represented in the analysis.
Altitude control of flying robot
Palacký, Tomáš ; Šembera, Jaroslav (referee) ; Baránek, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals firstly with design and construction of a device for testing of altitude control algorithms of a flying robot. Secondly with creating and testing of an altitude control algorithm in order to apply findings while creating a copter control system. Provided is a selection and analysis of used hardware and software components – microcontroller AVR ATmega, ultrasonic sensor, motor controller and also communication interfaces IC, USART and SPI. Also design and realization of electrical wiring, circuit board and mechanical structure is being described here. The next section includes creation of software for microcontroller and PC application. The altitude control algorithm is developed using a simulation, furthermore tested and tuned for desired behavior.
Determination of iodine in food
Malčíková, Hana ; Reichstädter, Marek (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the optimization of ICP-OES method to determination of iodine in mineral waters. At first, the Theoretic part characterize the iodine in general, next it concerns with it as the essential/biogenic element, which is necessary for the proper functioning of the human organism, with its occurrence in food and with its industrial utilization. In next chapters the thesis is describing analytical methods of iodine determination specifically ion chromatography and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry. The principle and instrumentation description of both methods are found. The Experimental part is focused on optimization of ICP-OES methods, device setup for IC, on preparation of samples of mineral waters and the samples analysis using both methods. The results of the Experimental part show a content of iodine in mineral waters accessible in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.
Detection methods of energetic materials
Procházka, Michal ; Diviš, Pavel (referee) ; Friedl, Zdeněk (advisor)
A research on current methods of detection of explosives and related materials was made. At first the thesis studies methods of detection and analysis of explosives including chromatographic methods (TLC, GC, HPLC, IC), mass spectrometry and its variations, ion mobility spectrometry and infra-red spectroscopy. Next the attention is placed on detection of explosives in solid phase by X-ray detection, nuclear magnetic and quadrupole resonance and thermal neutron activation. Practical applications of these methods are of great importance in this thesis as well as their usage in the counterterrorist fight.
ZigBee Module for Logo MindStorm Platform
Kočár, Darius ; Ryšavý, Ondřej (referee) ; Ráb, Jaroslav (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is extending Lego Mindstorm platform with ZigBee modul. This extension will enable remote control of robots motors. Further is comparsion between designed solution and already embeded Bluetooth. It is preceded by analysis of communication requirements and protokol designing. Further is evaluation of NXT Brics predefined communication abilities and ZigBee modules capabilities.
Physical hydrogels based on biopolymers and surfactants
Velcer, Tomáš ; Lehocký, Marián (referee) ; Kráčalík, Milan (referee) ; Pekař, Miloslav (advisor)
This doctoral thesis studies the properties and behaviour of phase-separated hydrogels. These can be prepared by interaction of polyelectrolytes with oppositely charged surfactants. Negatively charged polysaccharide hyaluronan and cationic surfactant carbethopendecinium bromide (Septonex), whose properties, behaviour and utilization are described in the first two chapters of theoretical part, were selected for this role. Hyaluronan is naturally-occuring in living organisms and is known for his specific targeting to the tumour cells. Septonex is used as antiseptic and disinfectant. Experimental part of this work is focused on examination of the structure and behaviour of these types of hydrogels especially from rheological point of view. The crucial part of this study was to establish mechanical properties and their dependence on environment. This led to design further studies. Structural analysis was held using the methods of ATR-FTIR, ionic chromatography and ICP-OES helping to measure the inner content of entry materials in the gels and supernatants respectively. The last chapter deals with antimicrobial activity. The results of this study indicate a potential usage of these substances in the field of medical applications.
Influence of selected coffee bean roasting technology on its chemical composition
Šajdlerová, Kristýna ; Mikulíková, Renata (referee) ; Diviš, Pavel (advisor)
The subject of this diploma thesis is the monitoring of chemical changes taking place in the coffee bean during roasting using various devices. For these purposes an industrial coffee roaster and a home roaster were used in the practical part. The theoretical part deals mainly with the characterization of coffee beans in terms of the content of various compounds and a description of the changes that occur during roasting. Different types of roasting machines are also presented. In the experimental part the roasting of coffee beans and the determination of the concentration of selected substances in the samples taken during roasting were performed. The monitored parameters included the concentration of sucrose, organic acids (citric, acetic, lactic, malic, formic and chlorogenic), caffeine and aromatic substances. One of the biggest differences found between the both roasters is the reduction in the concentration of chlorogenic acid, which decreased by 33 % for domestic equipment, while the decrease was almost doubled for industrial roasters. Another significant difference was also observed in the change in sucrose content. Sucrose degradation occurred in 94 % of coffee bean samples roasted on an industrial roaster, while only 75 % of the second type of roaster.
Critical Factors of Implementation of Module APO to SAP System in the Chosen Manufacturing Company
Vetýška, Jan ; Skoupý, David (referee) ; Sodomka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of the implementation of the corporate information system of the ERP category, specifically the introduction of the module of APO for SAP in the chosen manufacturing company. The work presents the theoretical fundamentals describing the basics of ERP along with available methodologies, the implementation of these systems. Also analyzes the frequent causes of delayed implementation projects and provides the basis for the search for the causes of the problems. In the next section it is made an overall analysis of the current state of the ERP system in the company. At the conclusion of this work are defined recommendations, which can be prevented critical factors and implementation could be completed according to the established timetable.
