Redesign of the construction and control algorithm for an unstable robot with a spherical base
Novák, Vlastimil ; Najman, Jan (referee) ; Spáčil, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the redesign of an unstable robot with spherical base, also known as Ballbot. The aim of the work is to analyze the existing structural elements of the robot, available sensors, control and power electronics and identify functional deficiencies. Subsequently, design a solution and implement it in order to eliminate all found deficiencies. Part of the work is testing a revised version of the robot, which, among other things, consists of checking the functionality of individual sensors and checking the comunication between sensors and microcontroller. Emphasis is placed on determining the real accuracy of newly used sensors depending on the settings used and ambient conditions.
Design of the hobby CNC milling machine
Hrala, Adam ; Tůma, Jiří (referee) ; Štěpánek, Vojtěch (advisor)
The focus of the bachelor's thesis concerns the design of a CNC model milling machine. It includes a representation of the kinematics of individual types, operating systems for these machines, hazard analysis and market research. In the second part there is a design of the overall device from the point of view of the drive and guidance of individual axes, the electronics used and a design of the machine structure supplemented by a drawing of the assembled device.
Electrically adjusted safety valve for HFA liquids
Šuranský, Michal ; Tlustoš, Jiří (referee) ; Grepl, Robert (advisor)
The purpose of bachelor’s thesis is proposal and implementation of automation mechanism of electrically adjusted safety valve for HFA liquids and its tuning and testing based on provider’s requirements. Automation mechanism proposal includes suggestion of mechanical, electronical and software components of the device. As a result of thesis is via Simulink’s Real Time Toolbox operational prototype with adjustable position. The provider of the valve is firm ŽĎAZ a.s., from Žďár nad Sázavou.

Author: Bc. Zita Matoušová Supervisor: Mgr. Kateřina Vondrová Title: The Influence of the Use of Modern Technologies on the Dexterity of the Hands of Healty Czech Adult Population Abstract: Manual dexterity is activity, which is based on the ability to control the movement and strength of the fingers. Many aspects impact dexterity, including the use of modern technologies. These have become part of our daily lives and have changed the way we perform many activities. Therefore, I consider it important to address this context within occupational therapy. The main aim of this thesis is to determine whether there is a causal relationship between the use of modern technologies and manual dexterity in a healthy Czech adult population in the age range of 20 to 64 years. A secondary aim is to map the extent and pattern of modern technology use in the same research sample. In this pilot study 208 probands participated. Each proband completed a questionnaire. They were asked how much time they spend using a computer, mobile phone, tablet and how they use these electronics. After that, they were tested with the Nine Hole Peg Test. The analysis of the study sample was done based on the questionnaire. Pearson chi-square test was used to determine the relationship between the phenomena under study. At the set...
Using of Sensors in Robotic Laboratories
Fabo, Adam ; Beran, Jan (referee) ; Rozman, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create exercises for a subject taught at the university level. The exercises deal with the teaching of basic elements of robotics and electronics, such as various sensors, motors, and methods of data acquisition. The created exercises are aimed at beginners in the world of robotics. The output of this work is a set of materials that can be used in teaching.

TEFFER, Jan
The Bachelors thesis deals with design, construction, testing and economy consideration about advantage of piece production of comfort and safety control unit for older cars. Control unit is built on Arduino platform and develops some comfort and active safety functions of modern cars.
Theoretical Investigation of Low-dimensional Magnetic Materials
Li, Shuo ; Grajciar, Lukáš (advisor) ; Frauenheim, Thomas (referee) ; Jelínek, Pavel (referee)
Low-dimensional (D) materials, such as graphene, transition metal dichalcogenides and chalcogenide nanowires, are attractive for spintronics and valleytronics due to their unique physical and chemical properties resulting from low dimensionality. Emerging concepts of spintronics devices will greatly benefit from using 1D and 2D materials, which opens up new ways to manipulate spin. A majority of 1D and 2D materials is non-magnetic, thus their applications in spintronics are limited. The exploration, design and synthesis of new 1D and 2D materials with intrinsic magnetism and high spin-polarization remains a challenge. In addition, the valley polarization and spin-valley coupling properties of 2D materials have attracted great attention for valleytronics, which not only manipulates the extra degree of freedom of electrons in the momentum space of crystals but also proposes a new way to store the information. The computational investigation of magnetic and electronic properties of low-dimensional materials is the subject of this thesis. We have systematically investigated geometric, electronic, magnetic and valleytronic properties of several 2D and 1D materials by using the density functional theory. These investigations not only theoretically show rich and adjustable magnetic properties of...
