This diploma thesis concerns a marketing strategy aimed at a specific customer segment. The aim of my diploma thesis is to make practical use of theoretical observations and company materials. With this thesis I would like the company to result with a greater portion of the market and raise the awareness about their product.

Master thesis focuses on developing proposals for strengthening competitiveness of a company engaged in the development, manufacture and sale of electronic light sources with glass or plastic shades. Aim of the thesis is to process and evaluate proposals for measures leading to strengthening company’s competitiveness on the Czech market and contributing to ensure company's sales growth on the market. The proposals are based on theoretical knowledge gained from professional literature and on analyses of the current state of the company.

The thesis deals with proposals for measures to strengthen the competitiveness of small business in the Olomouc region, which main purpose is the sale of haberdashery goods. The suggestions for improvement of this business focus on the development of relationships with customers and on the expansion of activities that will lead to increased business awareness and attracting new customers. On the basis of conducted analyses the thesis specifies the recourses defining the future direction of the business. These recourses include vision of the business, mission, corresponding strategic objectives and specific steps to strengthen competitiveness. The basic principle used in the drafting of proposals is the development of customer value.

This diploma thesis deals with strengthening of competitiveness of the accounting centre “Pneuservis” in the VOP GROUP, s.r.o., which currently faces financial problems and lacks enough competitiveness. Proposals have been outlined on the basis of the strategic analysis. The competitive strategy has been developed for Pneuservis VOP GROUP, s.r.o., the part of which has been the formulation of vision, mission and strategic goals. The objective has been defined as acquisition of new customers and, consequently, strengthening of competitiveness of Pneuservis VOP GROUP, s.r.o..

This diploma thesis deals with competitive environment between health insurances in the Czech republic. I focused on historical development in the context of health insurances, their position in Czech market through their size, amount of insured, incomes and costs. I compare the whole system with Slovak market. I also focus on rate of competiton between health insurance companies in the Czech republic.
Implementation of the Business Plan

The main aim of my thesis was to find out how I could realize my dream about creating a company capable of business competition. I also wanted to know what is needed for starting up in this field. I tried to find out the real amount of costs that I would hate to put into the project to keep it profitable, easy to operate and capable of competition in this tough business field. The idea was to create an accommodation facility, which would correspond to European standards and which would satisfied all customers - families or businessmen. Overall results of my thesis showed that the project selected be me would be feasible. I also found out that the hotel would be able to take hold in the market of services and it is very probable that it would be able to compete with other similar facilities in the area. I also found out that the costs which would be put into the project would not overcome the income. It means that the company would be profitable and therefore able of competing in the business. I think it is very probable that it would be very attractive for customers because it is placed in a very popular area friendly for tourism. From the results of my work I found out that it would be necessary to put in higher costs to repair the building, but the costs would return in next few years. I also learned what is needed for start up in this area and I think that this knowledge would be useful for me in the future. Finally, by the creating of this thesis I learned to communicate with strangers and to think more economically, especially in the process of setting up the various costs and revenues. I can say that I have deepened my knowledge of the economics and marketing which is fully used in my thesis.
Strategy business transformation from the small to medium enterprise level

The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the current developments in the enterprise, consider the future business at a medium-size, to determine the potential market and propose the optimal marketing policy of the company. The main objective is to draft recommendations to expand business and increase the competitiveness of the transformed company. The work is to monitor the development of enterprise in terms of finance, purchasing, production, storage, distribution, human resource management and marketing. It is also analyzed the internal environment, which includes financial analysis and an analysis of resources and competencies. Analysis of the external environment involves an analysis of competition, analysis of the attractiveness and STEP analysis. SWOT analysis summarizes the enterprise internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external environmental factors (opportunities and threats) analysis of the two. The analysis and evaluation is used of the data from the years 2004 to 2008. The result of this dissertation is the finding that the company is able to transform the medium-sized enterprise within two years, which take 10 - 12 employees. However, it should be to reduce the indebtedness of the company and is currently disinvest. To increase the competitiveness and the increase in sales on the market introduces a new product and using the Czech Trade Agency reach new foreign markets.
Possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks

In this diploma thesis I deal with possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks. In the theoretical part I target essence and history of formation of social networks. I also looked at basic principles of their behaviour and discribed their sources of income. In the practical part I used various statistics of popularity and I chose social networks which can offer the highest increase of share at the market to companies which are interested. Consecutively I created analysis of penetration of chosen social networks to czech bussiness environment and I gave an objective account on this issue using case studies of the companies. At the end I suggested principles for successful managing of social networks comunity which should lead towards the increase of the ability to compete. The thesis will not be the most extensive one analysing social networks but it is a good summary of theoretical and practical knowledge and will serve as a very good inspiration for deeper research of with possibilities and conditions of increasing the competition abilities of companies by social networks.
