Economic analysis of Ceska sporitelna, plc.

This thesis focuses on the economic analysis of Ceska Sporitelna which was realized through a financial analysis, where bank assets, liabilities and parts of income statements were analyzed. Furthermore, bank formulas were defined and counted. Results of the financial analysis were compared with the bank sector which is created by the four biggest banks in the Czech republic and with Komercni banka which is the biggest competitor of Ceska sporitelna. Some of the counted formulas were synthesized in the Spider analysis. Through the Porter "s five forces analysis, the position of Ceska sporitelna in the bank sector was evaluated.

Technical Analysis

Bachelor thesis focuses on the use of technical analysis in practice and compares the results with the investment fund. The theoretical part describes the basic stock information, methods of technical analysis and basic theory needed to build a diversified portfolio. The analytical part describes the selection of several biotechnology companies and examining their stock prices using simple moving averages. Analysis results are compared with an investment fund. Further described is a portfolio composed of investment funds by Erste Bank and application for calculating moving averages is described at the conclusion.

The analysis of banking services and the organization of their management in selected banking institution

The work is focused on the analysis of banking services and the organization of their management in Česká spořitelna. The aim of the study was analyzed historical and present management with potential suggestion for improvement the future and the assessment of results and customer´s perspective of competitiveness. The first part contains the review of the literature. There was described the necessary basis for the practical part. The most important part of the management function and new trends, organization and types of organizational structure, environment analysis, customer relationship management, the structure and phase relationship and the last topic of services and banking sector. The practical part contains the characteristics of the company, describes its history, the organization of Česká spořitelna and the Bank's current transformation. The own research consists of the questionnaire and SWOT analysis applied to Česká spořitelna. It was found that the bank is in a very stable and strong position, which it held for many years. However, it is necessary to strengthen the position and adapt to the increasing competition. The bank should follow the strategy of confrontation that uses strengths to avert any danger. From 2011 to 2014, in the bank takes place transformation. The conversion should contribute to better relationship with the customers and satisfaction of their needs.

Organizational architecture of multinational company

The Bachelor's Thesis ,,Organizational architecture of multinational company" sets the target to analyse organizational structures used in multinational companies at present. In the teoretical section is briefly described development of this subject, basic concepts associated with organizational architecture such as globalization, multinational companies and organizational architecture. I also generalized main characteristics of organizational forms and describe their pros and cons. The practic part is focused on organizational architecture multinational company Erste Group, hence the Czech Savings Bank. My attention was also devoted to the management company because of refinements and explore the effect on the top management of the company. The aim of this work is a comparative analysis of the organizational structure Erste Group and the Czech Savings Bank. I evaluate how I succeeded in this analysis in conclusion.

Design of career plans in the IT and projects department in Česká spořitelna a.s.

The aim of this thesis is to design career plans in the IT and projects department in Česká spořitelna a.s. The theoretical part provides basic background and methodological section describes the methods used in the practical part. The practical part begins with the introduction of Česká spořitelna a.s. and more detailed description of the IT department. The next chapter deals with the description of job positions, starting with current job descriptions and following with job descriptions, which originated from semi-standardized interview with individual managers in the IT department. Next chapter is devoted to the career pyramid, which shows seniority of job positions in the IT department from two perspectives: managerial and expertise. At the end of the practical part, there are designed three career maps for selected positions together with specific methods of developing the required competencies.

Gender Management in Banking Sector using the Example of the Diversitas Program of Česká spořitelna

This Master's Thesis is about the topic gender equality and diversity management in business in general as well as in the banking industry specifically. The hermeneutical review of the topic is followed by an empirical research which was conducted in the Czech Bank Česká spořitelna. In particular, its diversity and inclusion program Diversitas, which was implemented a few years ago, is examined and evaluated in terms of impact and caused changes. For this purpose, the author conducted qualitative expert interviews with managers (both female and male) of the bank who were all at least to some extent (directly or indirectly) involved in the process of the project implementation and could keep track of the program development. The results of this research showed that diversity management programs like Diversitas have very positive effects on the company in general but that their impact in terms of bringing about gender balance in top management and board positions is to some extent limited.

Assessment of Position of Česká Spořitelna, a.s. within Erste Group

Due to constantly increasing influence of capital markets to private and public sector of economy, we cannot do without the ability of banks and other financial institution analysis in the field of business economy. The aim of this thesis is to assess the position of the largest Czech bank under its parent company and benchmarking with its selected sister companies. To achieve these objectives, we not only use the methods of financial statements analysis, but also analysis of some non-financial indicators. The author's effort is an insight into a bank not through narrowly specialised technical view of banking, but through more complex and universal optics of business economy.

Derivatives Trading Revenues of Selected Banks Analysis

Derivative operations of selected banks assessment, comparisons and causes identification are contents of my thesis. Ceska sporitelna and Komercni banka, banks operating on Czech market, and European institutions Deutsche Postbank and Banco Popular became the subject of the analysis. First section of thesis is dedicated to basic terms introduction and continues with individual banks analysis. All relevant information regarding financial derivatives in three-year time horizon from 2008 to 2010 were used. Data comparisons and causes leading to banks' decisions follow the analysis.
