The Application of Fuzzy Logic for Test Case Prioritization
Information System Design
Fabik, Lukáš ; Smolíková, Lenka (referee) ; Koch, Miloš (advisor)
This thesis deals with methods of project management, including the evaluation and designing of a custom solution for small development teams with frequent teleworking. The thesis also compares the particular difference between classical predictive and agile software development methods. Based on a theoretical background and current state analysis, the purpose of this work is to design a new information system, which should serve as a SaaS solution, and describe its implementation by the proposed method.
Web Application for Project Management
Glajc, Radim ; Klusák, Aleš (referee) ; Neuwirth, Bernard (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design a web application for software project management in the Lokola s.r.o. company. First, the currently used project management software is analysed. Next, the requirements of Lokola s.r.o. towards the new application are captured and analysed. Based on the analysis, corresponding use cases, data model and object design of the new application are created.
Management of Multi-platform Mobile Application Development
Winkler, Pavel ; Lorenc, Miroslav (advisor) ; Maxa, Martin (referee)
The subject of this thesis is management of complex IT project in small team. The thesis describes theoretical knowledge of project management and software development and its methodologies. The work maps and evaluates all aspects of management and development process of multi-platform mobile application. It then verifies the cost saving capabilities of Xamarin technology the newest tool in simultaneous development for several platforms. Based on the experiences from given situation the thesis deducts recommendations. This bachelor thesis can therefore serve as a manual for further work of project managers in the same field and enable smooth process of their projects.
Selenium integration into Integrated testing node
Michalička, Tomáš ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Ženíšek, Jan (referee)
This thesis is about design and implementation one part of Integrated testing node, which is project developed by students of University of Economics. The aim of this project is create a solution, which integrates open-source tools for software testing support. The aim of this thesis is to create new part of Integrated testing node, which will be used for maintenance and creation of new automated tests created in Selenium, which is tool for frontend testing. This thesis continues with work, which was started in thesis of Bc. Jan Ženíšek. His thesis is focused to analyses and design of whole Integrated testing node. He also chose Selenium as tool responsible for automated test support. This thesis is also related to Bc. Helena Munzarová's thesis. She created REST mediator which should be used for communication with all other parts of Integrated testing node.
Management of agile software development projects based on PRINCE2 and Scrum
Tománek, Martin ; Říhová, Zora (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee) ; Šimek, Radek (referee) ; Lacko, Branislav (referee)
Software development projects often fail. Recently the agile software development frameworks have been massively adopted and used to overcome the root causes of the project failure. The use of the agile frameworks results in the more successful delivery of smaller software development projects. Companies however implemented in the past many generic project management frameworks and still use them to manage the full portfolio of their projects especially the medium and large software development projects. In such cases the agile development teams are organized in projects that are managed by project managers according to these generic project management frameworks. Both these frameworks must be analysed and tailored carefully to be successfully applied together. The objective of this dissertation thesis is to design the agile software development project management framework based on PRINCE2 and Scrum frameworks. The benefits of this new framework are the enrichment of the simple agile framework Scrum by project management elements and the enrichment of the generic project management framework PRINCE2 by the agile principles and agile team management practices. The first part of the thesis is focused on the analysis of project management and agile development frameworks. The main focus is on the current usage, the measurement of the project success and the identification of problems that the projects face to. Prior to the design of the new framework the research was executed in the global company to discover the specific problems in software development projects and to measure the actual project success rate. The framework is then designed in the next part. The framework was successfully implemented in the same global company and the project success rate was again analysed. The result is positive and the implementation of this framework resulted in the improved project success rate. Also two additional case studies were conducted to check the viability of the designed framework.
Eclipse IDE plug-in for JCL support
Daněk, Tomáš ; Palovská, Helena (advisor) ; Hypšman, Martin (referee)
In the thesis I am presenting a plugin in the integrated development environment Eclipse. Plugin is designed to support writing code in JCL programming language. In the first part of the thesis I am focusing on the mainframe platform from the IBM corporation on which the JCL language is used. I also focus on the z/OS operating system and it`s components required for adequate runtime environment for JCL language. In the next section I am discussing the Eclipse environment which is used as runtime platform for the plugin. As a base for the plugin is used an Xtext framework. The framework is specifically designed for development of custom domain specific languages.
Business plan of the mobile software development company
Sarychava, Katsiaryna ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Boukal, Petr (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a business plan for a company, which produces mobile devices applications, that are currently popular and also to acquaint its readers with the specifics of the business in software development. The theoretical part contains short explanations of writing a business plan and describes its components. The described tools are then applied in the practical part, with the use of author's work experience in mobile applications developing and selling. The conclusion contains the complete evaluation of the business plan.
Analysis of teaching agile methodologies of software development in the world
Fučík, Jakub ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Mittner, Jan (referee)
Objective of the bachelor thesis is to examine current state of world universities' approach to teaching agile software development methodologies in order to reveal in which way is agile approach applied and which methodologies are thought. Both undergraduate and postgraduate programs are analyzed in two phases. In the first phase, publically available data are collected, while in the second phase the survey is sent to universities. Thesis is divided into three chapters. First chapter covers literature overview regarding agile software development methodologies. In the second chapter various software development approaches are introduced. Finally, third chapter analyses current state and dept of theoretical and practical teaching of agile software development methodologies.
Selection and design of using project management methodology in a small IT company
Strnad, Marek ; Oškrdal, Václav (advisor) ; Bachmann, Petr (referee)
The thesis focuses on the selection and design of using project management methodology in a small IT company. The company develops enterprise software and deals with many problems that lead to frequent failure to comply with deadlines and cost overruns on projects. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of a range of approaches and "best practices" for implementation of the project management methodology into the organization. The analysis of these materials is then the basis for creating my own framework of recommended procedures for implementing project management methodology into the organization. The theoretical part also contains characteristics of the most widely used project management methodology. There are two objectives in the theoretical part - analysis of approaches and best practices for the implementation of the project management methodology into the organization and creating a framework of recommended procedures for implementing the methodology into the organization. The practical part has three objectives and starts with analysis of the current state of the small IT company from the perspective of project management. This analysis is the first objective of the practical part. To achieve this objective, several analytical methods were used, alongside with the measurement of the maturity of processes using CMMI models. The second objective of the practical part is the comparison and selection of a suitable methodology for project management of the small company according to selected criteria. To select the appropriate project management methodology are used two approaches - empirical and simplified selection. The final objective of the thesis is the application of the framework of recommended procedures for establishing the project management methodology into the organization.
