Wireless Sensory Network Using LoRa Technology
Mikulášek, Michal ; Pokorný, Jiří (referee) ; Škorpil, Vladislav (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses in the first half on the Internet of Things and the available wireless technologies for the Internet of Things. Each technology is characterized by its features, pros and cons, as well as the possibilities of using it in the Internet of Things. In the second half of the thesis, a practical design and construction of a LoRa network, consisting of a sensory and a central unit, is carried out. The parts of the solution are designed wiring schemes, printed circuit boards and detailed photo documentation. Additionaly the software solutions for both types of units are described, with detailed descriptions of the proposed features. The maximum possible range is tested and documented for the entire solution. Subsequently, a detailed measurement of the power consumption of the sensor unit is carried out and an extensive estimation of its battery life for a selected battery.
IoT Control Module
Haman, Martin ; Marcoň, Petr (referee) ; Szabó, Zoltán (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the research of the possibilities of wireless data transmission from the controllers IoT modules and their construction. At first there is compared wireless technologies, network protocols, their suitability depending on the application of the IoT control module. Then it is designed the IoT control module using a Wi-Fi module (based on Espressif ESP8266 integrated circuit) communicating over a MQTT network protocol. Thesis continue with selection, compilation of the firmware, creation of script for control heating system, descriptions of methods for controlling the IoT control module and display of measured data. The possibilities of creating a MQTT broker and security of data transmission are described below. In conclusion is documented and verified its functionality.
Expansion shield allowing wireless communication using Arduino platform
Gromeš, Jan ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Veverka, David (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design hardware and software for an expansion board compatible with the Arduino platform, so-called “shield”. The main function of this expansion board is to provide means of wireless communication via different technologies, for example WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRa etc. Special emphasis is placed on the overall user-friendliness of the entire system.
General Security of the Internet of Things
Páleník, Luděk ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Oujezský, Václav (advisor)
The thesis "General Security of the Internet of Things" deals with the analysis of networks with low power consumption in the theoretical part -- especially LoRaWAN networks. Further, the thesis deals with the general security of the Internet of things and the security risks of LoRaWAN networks. The practical part is focused on building the LoRaWAN gateway, which is realized with the Raspberry Pi platform with the iC880A-SPI extension module. The gateway is put into operation with full settings, assignment to the network server. Sensors configuration, creation an application, and assign it to the application server. In the practical part, a replay attack on LoRaWAN technology, which demonstrates the vulnerability of this technology, is realized.
Internet věcí a jeho využití v podnikové sféře
Hausteinová, Iveta ; Topolová, Ivana (advisor) ; Kubálková, Markéta (referee)
This thesis focuses on phenomenon of the Internet of Things. It consists of 4 chapters. First chapter is focused on the introduction of IoT and the technolohies that are used within this concept. Next chapter is about IoT in the Czech Republic and application cases.
Analysis of the current state of Internet of things wireless network's and it's future development
Hájek, Daniel ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis aims to introduce a phenomenon called the Internet of things (IoT) and its wireless networks, it brings short overview about the topic and it's history. In the next part of the thesis, there is presented a list of currently used wireless networks and they are compared to specialized networks developed for the Internet of things. This part also contains a short analysis of the Internet of things' current network's coverage, the analysis focuses on the countries which are the world's leaders in technology development. These countries are also compared with the Czech Republic. In the practical part of the thesis is introduced a vision of ideal smart house. Afterwards, a project of implementation of smart devices is presented. This project aims at reaching the same attributes as the presented vision. The main part of the project is dedicated to designing a wireless network using the Zigbee standard.
Plants as indicators of soil properties
Doležal, Jan ; Chuman, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šefrna, Luděk (referee)
Soil will be more important natural resource in the future, soil is degradation due to organic matter depletion, soil acidification and nutrient leaching, soil erosion, soil sealing is still ongoing. The local vegetation can serve as an estimate of habitat properties, these properties may highlight the ongoing processes in the soil. The ability of plants to indicate soil properties are described in a variety of species. The first part of this work is a review of literature which is dealing with plant indicators and the practical part is to evaluate the tightness of the relationship between selected soil properties and their values derived on the basis of the indicator species composition in two selected river basins. Keywords: flora, phytoindication, soil, vegetation, ellenberg indicator values, GEOMON river basin
Design and experimental verification of broadband wireless technology using long-range modulation
Pospíšil, Ondřej ; Mlýnek, Petr (referee) ; Fujdiak, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the use of wireless Low PowerWAN technology LoRaWAN in IoT. The thesis also describes both the physical layer on which the LoRa modulation works and the LoRaWAN protocol with its limits. The main goal of thesis was to design and realize network on LoRaWAN technology. The functionality of this network is verified in several scenarios in real traffic.
Wireless sensor based on LoRa technology
Pospíšil, Jan ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Troják, David (advisor)
The bachelor thesis in theoretical part is focused on wireless technologies used for home control and automation devices where low power consumption is required. There are mentioned possibilities of each technology, energy requirements, range and throughput. The result of practical part is design and construction of a wireless temperature sensor which uses LoRa technology to communicate with a gateway and is also capable to last on battery for years. Additional feature is user possibility to use GPIO pins in form of relays. The task also covers design and construction of a gateway which listens for LoRa packets and communicates with PHP application on server side. Last step of practical part is focused on design of PHP application, which is responsible for visualization of received data.
