The entry of the Czech company to the German market via e-shop

This master thesis concentrates especially on practical aspects of entrance of a specific Czech company to the German market through e-commerce. Therefore the thesis affects the whole process from the primary situation analysis prior to entering the market, through entrance strategy making process, partial marketing and financial strategies assembly, logistic and financial partners selection, concluded by launching the e-shop itself and processes of the strategic success factors evaluation. The first objective of this thesis is to create a strategy plan of entrance to the German market through e-shop. The second objective is to map the key aspects of the international expansion of the Czech company via e-shop concerning the environment in Germany.

This thesis entitled "Strategic analysis of a company" concerns the theory and practice of strategic management of a company development. It includes a general characteristic of strategic planning and management, strategic analysis and various types of strategies. It also has a complete strategic analysis of a specific company. In conclusion, the thesis is focused on the specific outputs strategic analysis along with the proposal of recommendations, which should contribute to a successful development of a new branch of the described personnel agency.
Business plan of a new company

The aim of this Master's Thesis is to set up an initial business plan of the ice cream shop in the busy touristic area of the capital city of Prague. The thesis is divided into two parts: theoretical and practical. The theoretical part deals with the analysis of the small and medium enterprise segment in the Czech Republic and the local entrepreneurial environment in comparison with other European countries according to regularly compiled international reports. Additionally, an analyses of specific consumer behaviour will be carried out. The end of the theoretical part introduces the generally recommended structure of a business plan describing closer its respective parts. The practical part applies this structure into practise based on the example of the initial business plan in the traditional ice cream branch. The plan presents a new concept of selling the ice cream including the supplement products. It strives to reflect the up-to-date market needs which were revealed through the conveyed market research. The output of this thesis presents the conclusion regarding the feasibility and attractiveness of this contemplated project that can subsequently serve as a material for the internal management.
Development and outlook of online grocery retail in the Czech Republic and beyond

The aim of this thesis is to provide a comprehensive understanding of successful strategies in retail trade, overview of the Czech online grocery retail market and provide recommendations how to succeed in this market. This diploma thesis is intended to help established big grocery retailers, start-ups venturing into the online grocery retail and prospective investors into such start-ups understand the Czech online grocery market. First, we provide a summary of the major developments in the history of retail trade and e-commerce accompanied by several business strategy frameworks proposed by academics for achieving success in these two markets. Second, we define online grocery retail with its different business formats, analyse strategies used across the world and the biggest challenges of this business. Third, we provide an overview of the Czech grocery retail market, both store based and online based. Fourth, we present our findings from our customer survey and form our recommendations based on the findings of the whole thesis. The main contribution of this thesis is in providing an integrated understanding of the Czech online grocery retail market.
Design of Balanced Scorecard information system

This thesis is about Balanced Scorecard methodology and about information systems that support Balanced Scorecard in business. The main goals for the thesis are creating a design of Balanced Scorecard for an existing company and then design a BSC information system for this company. Business strategy management is introduced in the beginning of the theoretical part of this thesis. The description of each perspective of Balanced Scorecard follows. There is also a focus on BSC and strategy modifications over the time and one chapter is devoted to metrics, different types of metrics and relationships between them. Application part introduces the company used in the thesis. Based on the knowledge from the theoretical part the Balanced Scorecard is designed for this specific company and then an information system design is created.

The thesis analyses and describes TailorMySuit start-up in order to asses its potential success. In the introduction the goals of thesis are stated and the structure is explained. The thesis is divided into two main parts -- a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part includes models for business evaluations, basic introduction to online business, its terms; and it also introduces reader into particular start-up industry and international management realities. The practical part contains business analysis based on real data from the company and the market. Analysis is drawn up based on the theoretical aspects.The thesis ends with conclusions and gives the most possible scenarios of business development.

Přínos autora je zejména v syntéze teoretických poznatků s praktickými zkušenostmi nabytými během dlouholeté praxe v IT společnosti.
Influence of technologies on the music industry in terms of music distribution

Diploma thesis deals with the influence of technologies on the music industry in terms of music distribution. In the first part the two major issues are discussed for deeper understanding of the topic. The change of perception and creation of music over certain period of time and the development of technologies related to music in historical context. Following chapters are mainly focused on current technologies, digitalization and the internet, and global turnovers which have had impact on distribution of music as a consequence of technological spread. In addition to this, the issue of legal aspects related to sharing and downloading music via internet is described. The strategies have been created and adopted by the music industry representatives as a response to the situation of increasing intensity of infringing copyright law by unauthorized sharing and decreasing number of physical media sales. The goal of these strategies has been aimed at support expansion of online music services and raising of public copyright awareness. The work analyses and assesses above mentioned strategies and estimates the possible future development of music industry. Assumptions are created on the basis of historical background and current situation. The partial objective is to evaluate whether the sales of physical media have future as a main source of income for music industry or not.

Strategy of Hyundai Motor Company in the international markets

The thesis deals with the current form and determinants of further development of the automotive industry and strategy of Hyundai Motor Company, the fastest growing automaker in the international markets of these days. The thesis is divided into four chapters. The first one is devoted to recent development of the automotive industry with a closer focus on the main characteristics of the Czech market and mentions the major trends affecting the industry. Next part introduces HMC and analyzes the development of its position in the global automotive market. Subject of the third chapter is an analysis of the company's business strategy, which has become the key factor of its growing importance. It mentions the main company objectives, the process of creating a strategic plan, different strategic approaches in the international market, phases of strategic brand management and discribes history of the company strategy. The final part focuses on the reasons of the construction of Hyundai factory in the country, evaluates it's position in the Czech market and the analysed strategy.
