The impact of an interventional movement program on the development of muscle flexibility in the hip joint area in young and middle school-aged football players
Slavíková, Anna ; Malíř, Roman (advisor) ; Chrudimský, Jan (referee)
Title: Influence of the interventional exercise program on the flexibility development muscles in the hip joint area in football players of early and middle school age. Objectives: The aim of this work is to investigate the effect of an intervention containing typical gymnastic exercises on hip joint muscles flexibility in football players of early and middle school age. Methods: This study is a quasi-experimental, quantitative work. It involved twenty-nine soccer players from different age categories (µ = 9.9, SD = 1.6). The players underwent baseline measurements before participating in a 3-month interventional exercise program, which focused on gymnastic exercises to improve hip joint muscle flexibility through static and dynamic exercises. After 3 months, the players completed outcome measures, which included exercises: side leg lift, extend leg forward, and extend leg backward. The measurement data was obtained using Kinovea. Data analysis methods included paired t-tests, Wilcoxon paired tests, and sensitivity analysis. Results: The paired t-test and Wilcoxon paired test showed us a low p-value of p < 0.001 for all measurements, confirming that the differences in pre-test and post-test for side leg lift, extend leg forward, and extend leg backward are statistically significant. From the paired...
The level and comparison of speed in female soccer players
Kubešová, Nicola ; Malý, Tomáš (advisor) ; Zahálka, František (referee)
Title: The level and comparison of speed in female soccer players Objectives: The main objective of this study is to determine the level of speed and speed-agility abilities of elite female players of the junior category. And to compare the results within the WU18 category, i.e. between the birth years 2006, 2007 and 2008. The secondary aim is to compare the results between the tested clubs AC Sparta Praha and FK Viktoria Plzeň. Methods: Field testing was used to provide results, which consisted of speed and speed-agility tests standardized in soccer. The test battery included a 10 m sprint with a 5 m intermediate time, a 20 m fly test, a K test and a 505 agility test. The test population was female players under 18 years of age playing for elite academies in the Czech Republic - AC Sparta Praha and FK Viktoria Plzeň. Results: The results of the tests, when comparing the players by year, did not show significantly better results for the oldest players, i.e. players of the year 2006. In most of the tests the players of the year 2007 achieved the fastest values. When comparing the individual tests by year of birth, the 2006 players performed significantly worse than the 2007 players and in a few tests also than the 2008 players. When comparing the teams in terms of league table position, we did not...
Analysis of selected goalkeeping activities at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar
Mareš, Petr ; Kokštejn, Jakub (advisor) ; Frýbort, Pavel (referee)
Name: Analysis of selected goalkeeping activities at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar Objectives: Analysis of selected offensive and defensive goalkeeping activities at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, held in the autumn of 2022. Methods: The research sample consisted of goalkeepers from the four best-placed teams who participated in the matches at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The top teams included Argentina, France, Croatia, and Morocco. Results: We hypothesized that the overall success rate in the activity "playing with feet" (evaluated using "% success") would be higher than 56% for goalkeepers from all teams. This was not confirmed, as French goalkeepers achieved only a 53% success rate in passing. We also hypothesized that goalkeepers would make the most saves from shots taken inside the penalty area compared to other categories (g > 0.8). This was confirmed, as the category of shots inside the penalty area was significantly higher compared to other categories, with Hedges' g > 0.8. Lastly, we evaluated the insignificant differences (g ≤ 0.8) in the frequency of the parameter "distance of all types of passes" between the categories "short, medium, long." This was also confirmed, as the differences between the categories were not highly significant, with none of the categories exceeding 0.8g....
Difference in approaches to prevention and therapy of male and female football players with ACL injury - research paper
Leszkow, David ; Pavlů, Dagmar (advisor) ; Reckziegelová, Petra (referee)
Title: Differences in Approaches to Prevention and Therapy for Female and Male Football Players with ACL Injuries - A Systematic Review Objective: The main aim of this thesis is to investigate whether there are different approaches to the prevention and treatment of ACL injuries in male and female football players. Methods: The thesis is prepared as a theoretical text in the form of a systematic literature search using PubMed, Web of Science and PEDro databases. The first part of the thesis contains the current status of the studied issue, theoretical background and treatment options for ACL injuries. The second part is descriptive-analytical in nature. It contains an analysis of the studies included in the thesis. Results: After the search, 4 studies met the criteria. Each of them focused on injury prevention, but unfortunately none of them investigated physiotherapy as such. However, the evaluation of the studies shows that both men and women use the same prevention programmes in football, which can reduce the risk of injury by up to 50 %. A limitation of the search is that most of the studies used did not examine the effect of prevention on both sexes simultaneously. Keywords: ACL, LCA, přední zkřížený vaz, ruptura, plastika, prevence, poranění, fyzioterapie, rehabilitace, postup, ženy, muži,...
Analysis of differences in biomechanical parameters during training of football players on natural or artificial grass
Malata, Mirek ; Korvas, Pavel (referee) ; Pavelka, Jan (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to compare sprint speed and rapid change of direction on natural and artificial turf in soccer players and to verify whether higher speed is associated with a greater risk of injury. The theoretical part describes the historika development of football with its rules, the training process, the biomechanics of running, and its variation in sprinting and agility. It also focuses on describing and exploring the connections associated with natural and artificial turf in football. In the practical part, two standardized tests, the 30-meter sprint and the 5-0-5 agility test, are used to determine on which surface an athlete is faster.
Ball Tracking in Sports Video
Motlík, Matúš ; Špaňhel, Jakub (referee) ; Bartl, Vojtěch (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with automatic detection and tracking of a soccer ball in sports videos. Based on the introduced techniques focusing on tracking of small objects in high-resolution videos, effective convolutional neural networks are designed and used by a modified version of tracking algorithm SORT for automatic object detection. A set of experiments with the processing of images in different resolutions and with various frequencies of detection extraction is carried out in order to examine the trade-off between processing speed and tracking accuracy. The obtained results of experiments are presented and used to form proposals for future work, which could lead to improvements in tracking accuracy while maintaining reasonable processing speed.
Design of a Football Association System for Administration Purposes
Vařacha, Jan ; Vyskočil,, Marek (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
This master’s thesis aims to design a suitable system based on a relational database for the purposes of administrative activities of the District Football Association. The created relational database should be managed primarily by the association secretary, to a lesser extent by members of association specialist committees. The database should be able to contain all the information and records which have been dealing with the paper form so far (match fixtures, awarding fines, clubs’ fees, players’ punishments, etc.). Routine administrative work, such as reading, inserting, deleting and updating the data will be carried out through the web interface and should not place any special demands on the level of users computer skills.
Design of a Football Association Web Portal
Vařacha, Jan ; Vyskočil,, Marek (referee) ; Luhan, Jan (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis aims to design a suitable website for the District Football Association. Website should serve not only players, club officials, association officials and referees, but also to the general public. The web portal will be used for the publication of results and statistics of the matches organized by the District Football Association, competitions fixtures, records of Association’s expert committees, information for clubs and football fans, delegation of referees etc.
