XML Data Compression
Jelen, Michal ; Polák, Josef (referee) ; Kováč, Dominik (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with problems of XML data compression. It describes a characterization and important concepts of XML language as well as AIXM as XML data format. It documents contemporary compression methods of XML and divides them into appropriate groups. Thereinafter a testing of XML data compression using mentioned methods and evaluation of results is implemented. With a consideration of processed data there is created and presented an application which enables lossy and lossless compression of AIXM with the help of particular elements data analysis. All of it with user selection options of AIXM objects and way of resultant compression.
Nitrogen saturation of tissuesNitrogen saturation of tissues
Petrák, Tomáš ; Hasmanda, Martin (referee) ; Vychodil, Petr (advisor)
The goal of this semestral thesis was to create an Android application able to plan a dive with a breathing apparatus. In the calculations air is used as the breathing mixture. The aplication is able to draw the dive graph and display the decompression tables.
Accelerated JPEG Decompression on Graphics Processing Units
Janošík, Ondřej ; Polok, Lukáš (referee) ; Pečiva, Jan (advisor)
This thesis addresses the issue of JPEG decompression, design of algorithms for decompression on graphics cars and their implementation. In more details, it describes specific process of implementation, including possible alternatives and optimizations. It is described in order of JPEG decompression algorithm steps. The aim of this thesis is the reduction of time consumed by uplading textures into graphics unit’s memory using JPEG compressed textures and decompression od the side of graphics card. In addition to time savings, this access reduces processor load, which may be in some cases beneficial.
Dictionary Methods of Data Compression
Kubica, Peter ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Bařina, David (advisor)
Due to increasing amount of stored and transferred data, there is a need of compression. For these purposes, there were invented many compressing algorithms. This thesis focuses on lossless compression, specifically on dictionary methods. This work sums up the knowledge about methods LZ77 and LZ78.. These methods were implemented in C++ language, according to their formal description. Detailed knowledge of their principles, advantages, disadvantages and possible improvements is the product.
The process of decompression in hydraulic systems of forming machines
Havelka, Milan ; Habán, Vladimír (referee) ; Pochylý, František (advisor)
This thesis consists of two main parts. The first part is a theoretical analysis, or a literary research, it is focused on the physical properties of the fluid, which have direct impact on the decompression. The aim of the second part is to evaluate the measurement of the forging valve and subsequently simulate the issue by means of CFD. The first simulations were performed for the maximal valve stroke and used for the CFD solver setup calibration. The subsequent analyses dealt with possible openings of the valve. In the final chapter the theoretical impact of the liquid compressibility and of the undissolved air is discussed. The results of the thesis can prove useful for the new valve setting in hydraulic circuit or for possible geometry modification.
Underwather games with scuba apparatus.
Zeithaml, Jaroslav ; Vondrášek, David (advisor) ; Bažant, Filip (referee)
Title: Underwather games with scuba apparatus Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to analyze some of the currently known games for their application and using with breathing apparatus and depth evaluation of their practical use. Methods: In this work was used the method of testing and the method of Experiment vs. Error. Each game has been specifically tested and adapted to the water. Issue which is related to these games and their preparation has been described in the practical part. Results: After the testing we've found that each game, with minor modification, can be applied in the water. In most cases is necessary to use the special tools and minor modification of the rules. Keywords: Scuba diving, underwather games, decompression, diving safety

Generic Unpacker of Executable Files
Milkovič, Marek ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Matula, Peter (advisor)
Executable files packing is a process used for compression or protection of these files. The behavior of the packed executable file is difficult to analyze, therefore the packed file needs to be unpacked at first. This work deals with the design and implementation of a generic unpacker that is part of the decompilation chain in the AVG's Retargetable Decompiler. The goal of this work is to create the generic unpacker of executable files, which would be easily extensible, platform and architecture independent, and its ouput would be decompilable. The heuristic analyses are proposed and implemented to achieve the decompilability of the ouput. The results are comparable with the other unpackers used in practice.
