Tendencies of development in regional news service of ČTK

This graduation thesis ,,Tendencies of development in regional news service of ČTK" deals with regional news service of ČTK during 2005 - 2009 period and tries to describe its form and latest trends of development. It also features a field trip to one of regional redaction in Plzeň. The results of research quantify data picked from infobank of ČTK, they are compared with findings from field, with theoretical knowledges and also with statements of ČTK in its annual reports. Trends of ČTK general and business regional news service are compared with trends of ČTK domestic and business news service. This thesis is theoretically based on routines of journalist organization, role of regional journalist and standing of press agency in medial system.
Comparation of press agencies and foreign reporters news contribution

Diploma thesis "Comparation of press agencies and foreign correspondents news contribution" observe, analyze and compare foreing news in main television news sessions on channels Česká televize and FTV Prima. The target is to learn, if foreign television correspondents can distinctly contribute to the news progamme. Working hypothesis comes from theoretical scholar literature and practical experiences of author. The research establish approximate percentage of original correspondet reports and news agency reports edited in Prague in the selected media sample. With quantitative reserach approach the work evaluate parameters of each foreign news report. The goal is to make the analysis the most reliable as possible. It focuses questions as if correspondent brings exclusive topics and topics with relation to Czech republic, if correspondents are pushed to produce feature reports instead of actual reports, if live coverage is really the most up-to-date and authentic form of reporting, if world news agencies are really indispensable source of international news and audiovisual materials and if news agencies offer more complex service than televison correspondents.

This BA is concerned with the media coverage of a particular event by a news agency ČTK and by internet news portals. It deals with an event from 2010 when a boy was brutally attacked by some Romes in the town of Krupka near Teplice. The goal of this thesis is to analyse how the media covered this event in its development, and to learn how it was reported about by the news agency and the news portals (for example, to learn whether the texts were taken over directly from ČTK). For the purpose of this thesis, three the most popular news portals have been chosen - iDnes.cz, Novinky.cz, Aktuálně.cz and then a local one called Teplický deník. This thesis then explores whether the media also mention the existing stereotypes in the connection with this event, and the way how the Romes involved are portrayed. In order to fully describe these existing stereotypes, the thesis also contains a chapter about the history of Romes in the Czech Republic and about stereotypes in general.
The Access of Economical Analysts to the Czech News Agency and daily Press

The thesis, The Access of Economic Analysts to the Czech News Agency (CTK) and daily Press, researches the paths that analysts who provide economic news commentary utilize to access the CTK news and daily press. The thesis focuses on the impact on editors' daily routines of utilizing such sources. Further, the thesis focuses on the hierarchy of analysts' access to the news and delineates the relationship between the journalist and his sources. In the theoretical portion of the thesis, the author defines basic approaches to the study of news coverage, information sources in media contents, and organizational routines. The author presents Leon V. Sigal's three basic types of communication channels and draws on Paul Manning's source theory. In the ensuing chapters, the author discusses the rules of source selection and the relationship shifts between journalists and their sources. Further, he elucidates Jürgen Hagerman's concept of "public sphere," Antonio Gramsci's Theory of the Hegemonic Media, and Noam Chomsky's and Edward S. Herman's propaganda model. The research portion of the thesis is based on the author's in-depth interviews with eight economic analysts. Influence of press agency ČTK on the economical columns of Czech dailies Právo, Hospodářské noviny and MF Dnes

This graduation thesis: Influence of press agency ČTK on the economical columns of Czech dailies Právo, Hospodářské noviny and MF Dnes deals with press agency ČTK news influence on the national dailies. The first two months of the year 2006 of three dailies Právo, Hospodářské noviny and Mladá fronta Dnes were being observed. The author features basic excursus into particular stages of research, basic theses and agenda setting principles as a theoretical base. The final part of the work deals with news selection into news service and affinity between resources and editorial staffs. The result of the research, which used content analysis as the researching method, describes the way how editors work with services of press agencies. In which form ČTK news appear in newspapers and how much space they are given there by editors and to which degree they mention authorship while taking news from agencies.

The bachelor's thesis is focused on the information service provided by the media during World championship in cross-country in Nové Město na Moravě 2016. Cross-country is a progressive olympic discipline which is attracting more and more audience around the world. Throughout its history, we could see many changes in its rules which are affected by the new technologies, like shortening racing time, and also changes in expectations of the fans who want to watch faster and more difficult style of racing than the decade before. The thesis also concerns itself with mountain biking in general, its history and its founders. Main goal of this thesis is to find out how the media, more specifically ČTK, iDNES.cz, Aktuálně.cz and mtbs.cz, informed about news and results from the World championship. Also there will be a comparison between their reports and services they provided, like photo or video recordings.
