Trabant engine modernization
Kočka, Martin ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to make a list of available knowledge of the P63 engine, found in the Trabant 601 cars. Overview of its advantages and disadvantages, proposal of possible design changes, which would lead to elimination of the disadvantages, while increasing the power output of the engine. Assembly of the engine using the proposed modifications.
Analysis of the crank mechanism of a two-stroke engine
Matyáš, David ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diploma thesis is a comparison of two versions of the crank mechanism of the Jawa 350 two-stroke engine. The diploma thesis if prefaced by researching the design solutions of multi-cylinder two-stroke engines with examples of their use. The following is a description of the theoretical properties of the two examined crank mechanisms in terms of inertial effects. For both engine concepts, the engine performance characteristics is measured and compared to each other. The engine with modified crankshaft is subjected to a pressure indication, which serves as one of the inputs to the strength analysis of the crankshaft. This is done by a combination of MBS simulation, FEM analysis and calculation of fatigue safety factor by LSA analytic method.
Two Stroke Engine Indirect Fuel Injection
Kovář, Michal ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Janoušek, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with indirect fuel injection on new two-stroke engine for motocross sidecar. The purpose of this work was to design the fuel injection system together with length of the fuel injection times. To determine the fuel injection times, it was necessary to determine the complete exhaust system that affect the volumetric efficiency. The conclusions were based on research in the field of two-stroke engines and calculations determining the amount of fuel per one cycle. The injection method together with the location of the fuel injector and type of fuel injector that can be use were determined and then the injection times that can be entered in the ECU.
Increasing Single Cylinder SI Two-Stroke Engine Performance
Stejskal, Miroslav ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This thesis deals with two-stroke engine design modifications to enhance its performance parameters. The introduction summarizes the various solutions of two-stroke engines. The next part deals with design modifications of the engine power, their implementation and subsequent modification. The work includes strain and stress analysis of the piston, which includes a complete indication of pressures in two-stroke engine. The achieved results of FEM analysis were used to design better piston geometry.
Two-stroke Engine Pre-ignition Controller with Microcontroller
Veselý, Tomáš ; Vorel, Pavel (referee) ; Šebesta, Jiří (advisor)
This paper deals with the problem of two-stroke engine pre-ignition controller with the use of microcontroller for single-cylinder engine and double-cylinder engine. The mechanical design is drawn for motorcycles JAWA and ČZ and for engines of the same mechanical type. The establishment uses non-contact status analysis of engine with non-electric sensor. The very important thing for the design is the simplicity of the establishment. The other important thing is the minimisation of mechanical arrangement of engine and the vehicle as a whole. The importance of this establishment is non-contact switching and the possibility of changing pre-ignition maps depending on the number of rotations per minute, the temperature and the load of the engine.
Combustion Engine Ignition and Fuel Injection Control (Engine Motormanagement)
Nejedlý, Vladislav ; Mikulčík, Aleš (referee) ; Hájek, Vítězslav (advisor)
In bachelor’s thesis on themed Combustion engine ignition and fuel injection control (engine motormanagement) i predominantly dealt with systems used in modern motor cars. This thesis enlarges on a monopoint and a multipoint system fuel injection, it mentions their components and describes functionality of the integrated system.
The present state and development trends of engines for motorcycles
Peňáz, Jan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis describes the actual situation of construction solutions of small motorcycles engines. And then this thesis compares power and economic parameters of these engines. The thesis shows watched parameters in the diagrams and in the tables. From this we deduce the direction which the small motorbikes engines take. In the conclusion we summarize the main development tendencies and trends for the future
Increasing the Volumetric efficiency of a two-stroke engine
Šmahel, Matěj ; Drápal, Lubomír (referee) ; Beran, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with a design modification of a chosen two-stroke engine with respect to an increase in its filling efficiency resulting in increased performance. The first part of the thesis describes basic principles of a two-stroke engine alongside a detailed description of all its cycles and their influence on the filling efficiency. The second part is dedicated to the design modification itself ending with a result evaluation.
Single-Cylinder Two-Stroke Engine for Enduro Motorcycle
Koten, Stanislav ; Janoušek, Michal (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with the construction of two-stroke motorcycle engine. Specifically, the racing engine for the Enduro class with a displacement of 250 cm3, adapted to be mounted in a chassis with extremely long swingarm according to patent of Frantisek Krnavek. The introduction briefly describes the E2 class rules and discussed design powertrain solutions of this class. Following design and calculation of required motor parameters. Further attention is devoted to detailed calculation of main bearings lifespan. The next section describes in detail the construction of the crank mechanism, cylinder head, exhaust pipe, power valve and reed valve. Conclusion deals with location of other engine parts.
