Update of laboratory exercises for the course Analysis of Signals and Systems
Chrástek, Jakub ; Liska, Matej (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
My work focuses on updating selected laboratory exercises for the course Analysis of Signals and Systems. In the first half of the theoretical part, the basic concepts and subdivisions of frequency filters and their overview in terms of design type, transmitted bandwidth and approximations are presented. In the second half of the theoretical part of the thesis, basic information on aliasing is given. The practical part of the thesis focuses on calculating and optimising the values of the selected parameters. These parameters are simulated in OrCAD Capture CIS. The design part presents the source design and 3D PCB models in Fusion 360.
Wah-Wah type guitar effects
Kramný, Bořivoj ; Koton, Jaroslav (referee) ; Kubánek, David (advisor)
This paper deals with kind of guitar effects called Wah-Wah. It explains the theory of filter and analog components to form the filter. Based on simulations, this paper describes functions and nature of parts or particular components of the schematic, based on the circuit made by the VOX company. Next, there is described the design simulation of a laboratory preparation, enabling to measure and to learn the function of the effect.
Laboratory task dedicated to filters with switched capacitors
Čipl, Jan ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This semestral thesis deals with the issue of analog frequency filters, their division and voltage transmission characteristics of filters. Furthermore, this work is focused on the description of filters operating on the basis of switched capacitances. This work also includes simulations, which are the first draft of a laboratory preparation for teaching. The simulations were performed in the Orcad Pspice program
Web application for planar filter design
Sýkora, Vlastimil ; Kadlec, Petr (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the development of web application for the design of planar filters. The application is written in Python. The thesis was aimed to create a script for simplified filter synthesis, based on the type of filter, its order, and chosen approximation. Initially, an equivalent circuit is constructed and a planar implementation for a given microwave substrate is proposes. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the brief theory required for the design of a simple planar circuit. The second part of this thesis deals with the development of the application itself. The function of input and ouput blocks is described here. The second part also includes description of computational scripts, including examples of the source code, for each filter type, where a different design method is used with a brief additional theory. The third part contains the design of four prototype filters of different types, their simulation in Ansys HFSS, and evaluation of obtained results.
Advanced microwave filter analyses and design
Čáslavský, Jan ; Urbanec, Tomáš (referee) ; Koudelka, Vlastimil (advisor)
his thesis investigates the design methodology of microstrip filters. The work deals with important steps in microwave filter design. Namely, the selection of approximate function and suitable representation of ideal filter elements are investigated. The basic design approach is demonstrated on the simple examples of microwave filters. These designed filters are analyzed in the program Ansoft Designer.
Utilization of circuit elements described by fractional-order dynamics in analog phase shifters
Zedka, Radim ; Šotner, Roman (referee) ; Petržela, Jiří (advisor)
This document deals with fractional passive dipole structures, their mathematical description, design methods and practical use with respect to limited frequency range. Two fractional dipole design methods are being described while one of them is used for practical realization of three fractional dipole samples. All of them are well measured and documented. Analog phase shifters implementing this fractional-order dipole are being discussed theoretically and they are practically constructed and measured. Concisely the fractional-order two-port design method implementing biquadratic filters is described.
UHF band front-end of quadrature receiver
Tiller, Jakub ; Špaček, Jiří (referee) ; Kasal, Miroslav (advisor)
The object of this master's thessis is study and description of RF circuits, which are used for receiveing. This work is also aimed to design this circuits and their simulation in Ansoft Designer software. Focus is placed to the standard parameters of receiving technology. The description of amplifier design is presented in this work. Parameters of this amplifier are optimalized to low noise figure. Frequency multiplier designs are included in this project.
Seismic activity measurement using fiber optic sensors
Vaněk, Stanislav ; Horváth, Tomáš (referee) ; Vojtěch, Josef (advisor)
The aim of master's thesis is to get familiarized with the problems of measurement and analysis of seismic waves. Theoretical part deals with the description of seismic waves, especially their types, sources and properties. Attention was afterwards focused on the measurement systems of these waves, emphasis was placed on their principles and advantages. The practical part discusses methods of noise reduction and highlighting of significant events in measured data. At the end, individual methods are implemented into user-friendly graphical interface.
Textile Microwave Components
Hotovec, Jakub ; Láčík, Jaroslav (referee) ; Vašina, Petr (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on possibilities of designing components integrated on substrate, where substrate is fabric. It contains theoretical information about the SIW structure, measurement of dieletric parameters of three fabrics, design, synthesis and production of waveguide, a three port divider and a band-pass filter on three substrates. For simulation CST Microwave Studio is used
Planar bandpass filter with asymmetric resonators
Cholasta, Lukáš ; Kovács, Peter (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
In this Bachelor thesis the microstrip bandpass filter with asymmetric resonators is described. In this work, the proposal, simulation, construction and resulting confrontation parameters realized microstrip bandpass filter in programme Ansoft Designer are described. In the introduction the problems analysis micro-wave integrated circuitsis are described, further the proposal of a simulation microstrip bandpass filter in programme Ansoft Designer is solved. In the third part of the bachelor thesis the optimalization of the filter for technology of production and realization of the filter are solved. In the conclusion the results of measurement of the realized filter and comparison with simulation are introduced.
