System of Intelligent Flower Pots for Indoor Plants Growing
Kinc, Michael ; Mrázek, Vojtěch (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
Nowadays, when technologies from the world of the Internet of Things are gaining popularity, new possibilities are opening up for the automation of common daily tasks with the help of smart devices. Such a device is also an intelligent flower pot, thanks to which the premature death of the plant can be prevented, as it may be able to warn the grower in time of deteriorating values measured from the soil or the surroundings of the monitored plant. The goal of this work is to create a system of intelligent flower pots for indoor plants growing, which can be controlled through an information system and a web application, in which the user has an overview of his flower pots, the state of the plant and the measured values.
Visual Programming of IoT devices
Podvojský, Lukáš ; John, Petr (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis aims to provide end-users with a visual programming tool to simplify the process of creating programs for Internet of Things (IoT) devices. There are a lot of different types of IoT devices that use various communication protocols. The lack of standardization for these devices forces companies to create customized solutions. Users are then presented with a predefined functionality that can be only slightly altered. One of the solutions for this lack of ability for end users to customize device behaviour is to give them more freedom through the concept called visual programming. This thesis results in a new library implementing a visual programming language and a visual editor whose output is a serialized program form that can then be transformed into the language of the target devices. The resulting library is created using web technologies and can be integrated into existing solutions.
Optimization and testing of the frontend on the Smart City platform
Design and implementation of an automatic system for watering indoor plants
Szymik, Ondřej ; Formánek, Martin (referee) ; Věchet, Stanislav (advisor)
This work is focused on the design and realization of an automatic irrigation system for houseplants. The emphasis is on the modularity of the system, i.e. to be able to irrigate plants and to measure their environmental variables independently. The work includes the design of a suitable system architecture, the selection of suitable sensors and actuators, the assembly of the system and the verification of its functionality.
Laboratory exercise - IQRF module for measuring mesh networks
Goryl, Juraj ; Paluřík, Pavel (referee) ; Jablončík, Lukáš (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis deals with creating a laboratory task integrated into the subject of "Communication Systems for IoT." The first part of the thesis consists of familiarizing oneself with the issues of the IQRF network, its topology, and the network’s capabilities. The thesis compares IQRF technology with other IoT technologies commonly used in this field. The practical part of the thesis comprises the design of a module for the IQRF transmitter TR-72DA in the form of a mini PCIe card. Another part of the thesis deals with establishing communication with the BPC-IoT board using the SPI bus, with temperature measurement used as an example. The final part of the thesis is the assignment for the actual laboratory task. The appendices also include schematics and source code of programs for both the BPC-IoT board and the IQRF transmitter.
Embedded Wireless Monitoring and Control of Photovoltaic System
Kovács, Attila ; Lojda, Jakub (referee) ; Strnadel, Josef (advisor)
Dosiahneme to meraním výkonu každého fotovoltaického panelu, s týmito údajmi môžeme diagnostikovať chybný panel a porovnaním celkového výkonu fotovoltaických panelov s výstupom meniča včas zistiť poruchu meniča.
System for Automatic Heating Control in Holiday Homes
Ježek, Lukáš ; John, Petr (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis was to design and implement a system for controlling heating and water heating in buildings divided into multiple zones with multiple heating sources. Typically larger and older holiday homes such as farmhouses or larger cottages that do not have only one heat source, however, the system will also be applicable to newer buildings. This system can be controlled either remotely or locally. RaspberryPi 4B was chosen as the platform from the IoT sector. This system solves, for example, the integration of a fireplace insert into a heating circuit together with a boiler, combi boiler or other heat source. Of the existing solutions, none allow efficient use of multiple sources with zoning, or the solution is expensive and inefficient. Moreover, the system offers extensibility to other IoT circuits.
Modern approaches to maintenance in engineering practice
Vašíček, Martin ; Hájková, Alena (referee) ; Hammer, Miloš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on maintenance. The first part presents the current maintenance standard entitled "Maintenance-Maintenance Terminology" and the older standard with the same name, which was replaced by the current standard. The work describes the types of maintenance according to each of these standards and compares them with each other. In the second part, modern approaches to maintenance in engineering practice are presented. The third part is focused on one of these modern approaches, namely TPM. The fourth part is focused on the implementation of TMP in two companies.
Autonomous control system for composite materials heating
Lapčák, Adam ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis focuses on designing an autonomous system intended for heating surfaces made of conductive composite material. The design involves smart electronics design for integration into distribution boards and the ability to control power switching elements. Emphasis is also placed on the possibility of remote system control via the internet network. For an easy deployment in any location, the autonomous system will use a mobile network. System control will be realized with a dedicated HTTP API server along with a custom user application.
