Concepts of electric vehicles drivetrain
Bede, Filip ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Kučera, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on a review, analysis and comparison of current electric vehicle drive concepts that form the basis for modern electric vehicles. For a better understanding of the composition and application of the concepts, the individual elements of the powertrain have also been discussed in detail in the thesis. The thesis starts with a brief overview of important milestones in the field of electric mobility. It then continues with a detailed discussion of the electric motors, batteries and gearboxes used. These are followed by drive concepts analysed in terms of their impact on the drivability and efficiency of electric vehicles. Examples of modern electric vehicles are then given to demonstrate the concepts in practice. Finally, current internal combustion engine drive concepts are also presented and compared with EV concepts, thus providing a comprehensive view of current trends in automotive technology.
Calculation of the temperature field of an asynchronous motor
Pavlásek, Ondřej ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Janda, Marcel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on thermal calculations of an asynchronous machine. The first part of the thesis addresses the issues related to the asynchronous motor and the occurrence of losses. The next section is dedicated to the thermics of electrical machines, heat, and cooling. Subsequently, a temperature distribution calculation was performed on the TM90-4S motor using the Motorcad program, and these results were compared with measurements on the machine.
Gear trains in automotive electric drives
Vlaha, Ondřej ; Poulíček, Matěj (referee) ; Neuman, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the research in field of gearbox applications in electric vehicles. It describes the classification of electric vehicles depending on the type of their powertrain. It also discusses the distribution of electric motor designs and analyses the parameters that affects the efficiency of the drive train. A numerical model of Tesla Model 3 was created in Matlab Simulink to illustrate the effect on powertrain efficiency when using single or dual speed transmission under different driving cycles.
Design of Electric Urban Vehicle Drive System
Pitoňák, Adam ; Míša, Jiří (referee) ; Hejtmánek, Petr (advisor)
This diploma thesis sets itself into the task of presenting a conceptual design of a powertrain system intended for a small electric vehicle of the L6e category. As a part of this thesis, in the initial part of this work, a survey of components and their optimal arrangement in the powertrain system of a small electric vehicle was carried out. Subsequently, after the presentation of the possible components of the powertrain system, testing of these variants was carried out, both form a mechanical and an electrical point of view, to guarantee the compatibility of the individual parts of the vehicle´s powertrain system. After the evaluation, the optimal variant of the drive system, intended for the concept on a small electric vehicle “Nanos” was selected. To determine the acceleration characteristics and the range of a vehicle equipped with such designed powertrain system, series of acceleration tests as well as vehicle range test according to the first part of the official WMTP cycle, intended for vehicles belonging to the category L6e, were performed. The resulting values of the vehicle´s acceleration and range tests are subsequently compared with the values of already existing vehicles belonging to the same category, thus enabling an overall evaluation of the powertrain system concept.
Energy analysis of motor pump units
Čenč, Samuel ; Štigler, Jaroslav (referee) ; Klas, Roman (advisor)
The bachelor thesis includes description and classification of hydraulic pump units. Individual types of hydraulic pumps, their area of use, advantages and disadvantages, and the method of regulating the output hydraulic parameters are described here. The thesis also includes a brief description of electric drives, whcich are used as a source of mechanical energy to drive hydraulic pumps. The purpose of the first part is to point out that there are two main ways of regulating the output hydraulic parameters. This is the regulation by changing the geometric volume of the hydraulic pump and the regulation by changing the speed of the electric motor. In the main part of the bachelor thesis attention is paid to individual conceptual solutions of hydraulic pump units. The essence of the regulation of hydraulic variables, the principle of operation of regulation in selected representatives regarding their dynamics is explained here. This is followed by experimental verification on real representatives of hydraulic pump units, which enables a deeper insight into the issue of hydraulic power units regulation and the course of electrical and hydraulic variables during the transient state.
E-bikes
Rynda, Vít ; Prokop, Aleš (referee) ; Řehák, Kamil (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the topic of electromobility, specifically the drive tract of electric bicycles or recumbent bicycles. The thesis focuses on the most essential parts of the traction system, which are the battery and the electric motor. It includes an analysis of the different concepts of the mutual arrangement of the power source and the electric motor of currently used electric bicycles. It also includes descriptions and characteristics of batteries, from past to present representatives. It also includes a brief description of the types of electric motors in use. The practical part involves working with software designed for modifying and configuring the control units of electric vehicles with a central electric motor. Several control unit settings are made, where each of them offers customized motor power limits, assistance levels and driving behaviour. The individual settings are tested under the same specific conditions and compared with each other. Finally, a possible ideal solution is proposed in the form of control unit value settings for the examined criteria.
Long-distance belt transport
Baričiak, Petr ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zeizinger, Lukáš (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the calculation and design of a conveyor belt with a transported quantity of 3 500 t/h with a length of 300 m and an elevation of 22 m.
