Reinforced concrete frame structure of shopping centre
Rajman, Martin ; Švaříček,, Libor (referee) ; Laníková, Ivana (advisor)
The point of my diploma thesis was design elements of reinforced concrete frame structures mounted single – storey mall.I choose the most exposed to the specified longitudinal frame structure, where I assumed the most highly stressed elements, which I subsequently designed. All documents and calculations are illustrated in part B2 of my diploma thesis.
Jewish Condition as Image of Marginalization
Pavlíková, Kristina ; Jamek, Václav (advisor) ; Voldřichová - Beránková, Eva (referee)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is the life and literary work of Jacques de Lacretelle, a French literature figure of the 20th century. Its aim is to expound his extensive work which is nowadays almost forgotten. The thesis focuses mainly on Lacretelle's vision of the Jews as described in his two novels- Silbermann and The return of Silbermann. Based on the detailed analysis the thesis tries to understand the reasons of choosing the Jewish motif for Lacretelle's work and personal connotations in it. Lacretelle's life and work is studied in comparison with a Czech author called Ladislav Fuks. We shortly introduce this writer, main events of his life connected with his literary work and his unique style of writing based on the method of substitute literary themes. This approach is subsequently applied on Lacretelle's writings and gives us a new point of view of them. Also we try to compare the series about Silbermann with Fuks's short-story anthology called Mí černovlasí bratři. At the end we draw a comparison between Lacretelle and Fuks and try to discover resemblances in their lives and works. This enables to understand their motives to choose the Jews as the main characters of their writings, probably connected mainly to their feeling of non-acceptance caused by their homosexuality. Relational Approach to Universal Algebra

Title: Relational Approach to Universal Algebra Author: Jakub Opršal Department: Department of Algebra Supervisor: doc. Libor Barto, Ph.D., Department of Algebra Abstract: We give some descriptions of certain algebraic properties using rela- tions and relational structures. In the first part, we focus on Neumann's lattice of interpretability types of varieties. First, we prove a characterization of vari- eties defined by linear identities, and we prove that some conditions cannot be characterized by linear identities. Next, we provide a partial result on Taylor's modularity conjecture, and we discuss several related problems. Namely, we show that the interpretability join of two idempotent varieties that are not congruence modular is not congruence modular either, and the analogue for idempotent va- rieties with a cube term. In the second part, we give a relational description of higher commutator operators, which were introduced by Bulatov, in varieties with a Mal'cev term. Furthermore, we use this result to prove that for every algebra with a Mal'cev term there exists a largest clone containing the Mal'cev operation and having the same congruence lattice and the same higher commu- tator operators as the original algebra, and to describe explicit (though infinite) set of identities describing supernilpotence...

Georges Bataille's conception of art
Kaisrová, Martina ; Ševčík, Miloš (advisor) ; Jarošová, Helena (referee)
in English The aim of the study is to show Bataille's esthetic thoughts, dispersed in several Bataille's works, as a consistent theory of art. Through his fascination for cruel and evil, Bataille turns his interest to the matter and in revue called Documents he describes the appeal of low forms due to their proximity to formlessness. Beyond this frontier there is a sphere of "not-knowing", where the logical reason can not impenetrate. This sphere of excess is not only out of logical concept, but also out of our life, i. e. before our birth and after our death. In an organized society this sphere is forbidden. The tabu that guards it protects us from the destructive forces of chaos which could appear through the death rage, violent sexual passions, cruelty and evil. Human desire to see what is in this sphere comes from his nostalgia for a naturalness which had been lost when we changed from animals into human beings. The animal does not obey any rule and in ancient societies it used to represent the divinity. The lost intimity of present instant, as explained in Lascaux or Literature et le Mal, is mediated to us through religious transgression of law (sacrifice) or as fiction in art (transgression in modus "a like") or through destruction of academic forms. Such moments are always accompanied by...
