Monitoring of the impact of external load on activity of shoulder girdle muscles during abduction in scapular plane.
Knorová, Kateřina ; Čech, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Bitnar, Petr (referee)
Master's thesis "Monitoring of the impact of external load on activity of shoulder girdle muscles during abduction in scapular plane." is focused on changes of muscle activation pattern in response to increase of strength demands. Theoretical part begins by review of the prevailing theoretical work regarding the adaptaion of neural and musculoskeletal systems to training and differences in its outcome due to various parameters of exercise. Last chapter discusses the principles of coordiantion- strength functional reserve. Experimental part consists of an electromyographic study following a pilot study executed in 2012. The subject of this study were changes in onset time and peak activity time of five shoulder girdle muscles in three model situations: A) without external loads, B) with light load (1kg) and C) with excessive load (3-10kg). The results demosntrate different pattern of muscle activation in situation with excessive load in comparison to situations witout loads and with light load. The difference of the patterns was demonstrated in both parameters (onset time and peak activity time) and reached significant values. Based on these data, we claim, that there is a top borderline of the coordination-strength functional reserve in between the light and excessive loads that we chose, and that...
Monitoring of the impact of external load on timing of shoulder girdle muscles during abduction in scapular plane - pilot sEMG study
Knorová, Kateřina ; Čech, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Valouchová, Petra (referee)
Bachelor's thesis "Monitoring of the impact of external load on timing of shoulder girdle muscles during abduction in scapular plane - pilot sEMG study" is focused on the changes of muscle activation pattern in response to increase of strength demands. Theoretical part contains a review on factors influencing the movement outcome and the strength capability of musculoskeletal system. Experimental part is based on pilot sEMG study monitoring the impact of external load on timing of shoulder girdle muscles during abduction in scapular plane. Thirteen subjects (10 females, 3 males) at the age range from 20 to 30 years (median 21 years) were included in this study. The experiment consisted of 3 model situations: A) without external load, B) with light load (1kg) and C) with excess load (3-10kg). All muscles were activated earlier with increasing load. The differences between mean onset times of individual muscles were decreasing with increasing load. Results of this study support the theory of coordination-strength funcional reserve of musculoskeletal system. Discussion summarizes possible consequences and possibilities of using this phenomenon; both in testing, therapy and monitoring its effects.
Performance management systems in shared service centers
Martirosyan, Ani ; Matyáš, Ondřej (advisor) ; Knorová, Kateřina (referee)
Abstract Background: This research investigates the role of measurement systems in shared service center, more specifically in the source to settlement stream, which consists of Accounts Payables and Procurement departments. The departments have been chosen because of their importance for the global Computer Science Corporation s.r.o., which is the parent company of Shared Service Center in Prague. The mentioned departments have been chosen for the research because of the process complexity and a big quantity of steps leading to the final result. Any delay of the intermediate steps refrains the whole process completion. Consecutive issues with the completion may bring Corporate Shared Service to the risk of service non-delivery. Methods: Exploring the measurements systems through detailed literature overview, an overview of the departments of Corporate Shared Service, the processes happening in the Accounts Payables and Procurement departments and performance variables measured. Results: Improvements in both, processes taking place and variables being measured, leading to productivity improvement, increase in customer satisfaction and a number of other advantages. Conclusions: Research offer unique insights into the performance measurement systems in a shared service center. There has been no such a targeted research done before for the Accounts Payable and Procurement departments in a shared service center Both quantitative and qualitative variables influencing performance are discussed and suggestions of improvements are made in a feasible manner.
The Method of Standard Costing on Example of Specific Company
Kovářová, Kateřina ; Knorová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Krupička, Josef (referee)
The subject of the bachelor thesis is the method of standard costing and analysis of variances, that are both necessary for management and controlling of costs. It provides managers with information about the difference between actual and required state. The first part describes the theory of this method, where standard and subsequent analysis of variances are examined. In the second part, the bachelor thesis deals with company, that is part of a multinational concern. This company manufactures and designs electronic components. The author examines how the company applies the mentioned method and further analyzes the variances. Based on the results of the previous part, the author suggest possible improvements of this method.
The use of calculation for managing in the concrete company
Kůrková, Tereza ; Vimrová, Hana (advisor) ; Knorová, Kateřina (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on utilization of costing in the concrete company. The main aim is to analyse costing system of the company and consider it´ s effectiveness. The first part represents a professional support of the whole thesis. It explains basic concepts and general definitions. The second, main part, describes situation of the company from the perspective of costing. This analysis results in some recommended proposals to make costing system more efficient.

Cost efficiency and profit efficiency
Dao Van, Tuan ; Šiška, Ladislav (advisor) ; Knorová, Kateřina (referee)
This thesis "Cost efficiency and profit efficiency" is focused on cost analysis. In the first part of this work I am committed to the theory that aims to acquaint the reader with the issues and also serves as a basis for the second part. In the second part I am focusing on the analysis of cost efficiency and based on this outcome to recommend some adequate measures.
Utilisation of costing for profitability analysis in a particular entity
Hospodka, Jiří ; Wagner, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Knorová, Kateřina (referee)
The thesis deals with assembling the final calculation, and subsequent analysis of the profitability of particular outcomes on the example of non-profit organization AIESEC Prague. The theoretical part is devoted to methods of calculation and generally outlines the problems of profitability. The practical part describes the organizational structure, the services offered, and the method of bookkeeping. It serves as a basis for allocation of costs, and the subsequent compilation of the actual calculation.
