The employer's obligation to compensate for the damage caused to the employee
Štěpánková, Kateřina ; Štefko, Martin (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee) ; Šimečková, Eva (referee)
The employer's obligation to compensate for the damage caused to the employee Abstract In the submitted dissertation, the author deals with the topic of the employer's obligation to compensate for the damage caused to the employee. This issue is highly actual, as in the past there have arised, and these days still continue to arise new and new connected questions to discuss, and sometimes the re-opening of questions that have already been settled occurs as well. At the same time, it is also a common-sense oriented topic, as almost every employer has at some point been in a position where they were forced to fulfil this legal obligation towards their employee. Within the scope of this dissertation, fundamental attention is devoted to the analysis of individual types of the employer's liability for damage caused to the employee and to a critical insight into the complexity of their legal provisions and their real usability. International comparisons are also provided in places, where it is appropriate and useful. A number of concrete suggestions de lege ferenda are also provided. The first part is devoted to a basic insight into this issue, but in addition to it, it also contains a clear statistic comparison of the amount of court decisions carried out in cases of lawsuits on fulfilment of the relevant types...
Family policy and social security in view of families with dependent children
Hobzová, Dana ; Koldinská, Kristina (advisor) ; Štefko, Martin (referee) ; Šimečková, Eva (referee)
Family policy and social security in view of families with dependent children Abstract The thesis focused on a part of a family policy dedicated to families with dependent children. In the Czech Republic there are the families with children in an age to 26 years. The thesis analyses a system of family policy and social security in the view of families with dependent children in the Czech Republic and in some of European countries. In total there are 19 countries there which were analysed (including a Czech system). The main emphasis was laid on an analysis of the system of social security of the families with dependent children in the Czech Republic in view of their financial support for a state and as well as of a social security of parents in view of labour law instruments helping to find a balance between a family and professional life. A significant part of the thesis is an analysis of the social security of the families with dependent children in four model groups of European countries, which were formed in a base of a typology of a welfare state created by a Danish sociologist and political scientist Gøsta Esping-Andersen. It wasn't possible to engraft this typology on states of an "eastern European" countries and for that reason was applied a theory of "families of nations" which was created by an...
Comparison of Czech and Slovak legal regulation of leave
Blatný, Richard ; Hůrka, Petr (advisor) ; Šimečková, Eva (referee) ; Morávek, Jakub (referee)
1 Abstract and keywords in the English language Comparison of Czech and Slovak legal regulation of leave Abstract The dissertation contains an overview of labor law legislation, especially the regulation of holidays, in the territory of historical Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia on the one hand and in the territory of today's Slovakia on the other hand. For a better understanding of the issue, an overview of the development of working conditions and labor protection in a given time context in both cultural areas is also provided. I believe that the presented comparison of legal regulations in both territories is an interesting excursion not only in terms of labor law itself, but also in the field of legal history. I believe that in the presented summary of the work it provides important and interesting expanding knowledge in the field of labor law and social security law. In my opinion, similar work was lacking in our market, and therefore it can be assumed that in this direction it will contribute to its enrichment if it is possible to realize its book edition, which is under negotiation. An overview of the material described above is given in twelve chapters since the beginning of the 14th century, when labor relations developed in the Czech lands, about which written reports already exist. In the case of...
Spectral flux of the p-Li-7(C) Q-M neutron source measured by proton recoil telescope
Novák, Jan ; Bém, Pavel ; Fischer, U. ; Götz, Miloslav ; Honusek, Milan ; Simakov, S. P. ; Šimečková, Eva ; Štefánik, Milan
The cyclotron-based fast neutron source at NPI produces mono-energetic neutron fields up to 35 MeV neutron energy using the p + 7Li(carbon backing) reactions. To be applied for activation cross-section measurements, not only the intensity of neutron peak, but also the contribution of low-energy continuum in the spectra must be well determined. Simulations of the spectral flux from present source at a position of irradiated samples were performed using CYRIC TOF-data validated in the present work against LA150h by calculations with the transport Monte Carlo code MCNPX.

In the experiments carried out by ion beam He-6 of the cyclotron complex DRIBs (JINR) and He-3 beam cyclotron U-120M of the NPI, Czech Academy of Sciences have been investigated reaction Sc-45+He-3, He-6 and Au-197+He-3, He-6 in the energy range near the Coulomb barrier. It were obtained the experimental values of the cross sections for complete fusion reactions and direct reactions for formation of the isotopes Sc-43, Sc-44 and Sc-46 also Au-196 and Au-198 as a function of the bombarding He-3 and He-6 energy. Despite the low binding energy of He-3 and the positive Q-values leading to the formation of isotopes Sc-44 and Sc-46 also Au-196 and Au-198, the behavior of the excitation functions with the formation of these isotopes is different from the excitation functions for d, He-6.
The activation of W and Zr by deuterons at energies up to 20 MeV
Šimečková, Eva ; Štefánik, Milan ; Bém, Pavel ; Mrázek, Jaromír ; Novák, Jan
The proton and deuteron induced reactions are of a great interest for the assessment of induced radioactivity of accelerator components, target and beam stoppers. In order to investigate the important nuclides, we have carried up the irradiation experiments with the variable-energy cyclotron U-120 M of the NPI CAS ež. The production cross sections of the nuclides 179,181,182m,182,183,184m,184,186Re and 187W from reaction on natural W were investigated by deuteron beams of 20 MeV energy. A part of preliminary results of deuteron activation of natural Zr is also shown. The stacked-foil technique was utilized. The comparison of present results to data of other authors and to predictions of evaluated data libraries is discussed.
Proton and deuteron activation measurements at the NPI and future plans in SPIRAL2/NFS
Šimečková, Eva ; Bém, Pavel ; Mrázek, Jaromír ; Štefánik, Milan ; Běhal, Radomír ; Glagolev, Vadim
The proton- and deuteron-induced reactions are of a great interest for the assessment of induced radioactivity of accelerator components, target and beam stoppers as well as isotope production for medicine. In the present work, the deuteron-induced reaction cross sections on zinc were investigated by stacked-foil activation technique with deuteron beam of 20 MeV energy from the cyclotron U-120M of NPI CAS ež. Also the proton activation cross section measurement of iron is presented. The comparison of present results to data of other authors and to predictions of evaluated data libraries is discussed. The investigation shall continue for higher proton and deuteron energy interval 20-35 MeV at SPIRAL2/NFS facility using a charged particle irradiation chamber with pneumatic transport system to measure isotopes and isomers with half-lives in minutes-regions.
Experimental Determination of Neutron Room Background at the NPI Cyclotron U-120M
Štefánik, M. ; Bém, Pavel ; Honusek, Milan ; Katovsky, K. ; Majerle, Mitja ; Novák, Jan ; Šimečková, Eva
During the operation of external neutron generators of the Nuclear Physics Institute of The Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, the neutron room background is produced in cyclotron hall. To assess this effect, the neutron room background was measured using the activation method of dosimetry foils. To unfold the background spectrum from the set of measured reaction rates, the method of spectrum description by the special analytical function was employed.
