Restoration of old mail Rousínov
Vondráková, Kateřina ; Hrabec,, Josef (referee) ; Šindlar, Jiljí (advisor) ; Kalousek, Lubor (advisor)
Bachelor’s thesis deals with reconstruction of listed building of old mail in Rousínov u Vyškova and new extension. The main aim of this thesis was to design new functional use of old mail, which is currently unused. Because of the building is listed, it was necessary to keep the baroque character of building and respect building in designing of new extension. Extension and existing building form a multifunctional center in the city. The information and tourist center and small puppet show were designed as new funtional use of old mail. These services are complemented by a cafe and exhibition in extension.
Temporary dwelling of migrants-reception and residential center
Vondráková, Kateřina ; Dvořák, Miloš (referee) ; Nový, Alois (advisor)
The theme of diploma thesis is design of reception center and residential center in Brno city. These asylum facilities are first two steps to proceeding for granting international protection. Both of these facilities provide accomodation and other services, such as provide of meals, social and psychological services, legal help or clients can take part in wide range of free-time activites. Designed complex is located at Červený kopec in Brno-Štýřice and it consists of 6 building divided into three parts - reception center, residential center and central structures used by the both facilities, such as administration, kitchen and maintenance services.
Speech therapy prevention for the natural development of pre-school children
VONDRÁKOVÁ, Kateřina
The bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of (not) using the offer of speech therapy prevention by parents of children with impaired communication skills. The theoretical part defines basic concepts such as speech therapy, speech therapy, impaired communication ability, speech development (risks that may manifest in speech development) and articulation. It relies on available professional sources in the field of speech therapy. The practical part is carried out using the method of qualitative research and contains semi-structured interviews with parents. The main goal is to find out the answer to the research question: "How active is the interest on the part of parents and what is the main reason for parents to seek professional help?" Specifically, it is a research in a kindergarten in South Bohemia.
The role of endothelin receptors type A and B in the model of focal cerebral ischemia in immature rats
Vondráková, Kateřina ; Tsenov, Grygoriy (advisor) ; Říčný, Jan (referee)
Hypoxic-ischemic insult is a most common form of perinatal brain damage that threatens a newborn's life and can leads to permanent neurological sequelae. However, detailed aspects of the cerebral ischemia in the immature brain stay unanswered. We decide to use the model of focal cerebral ischemia induced by intrahippocampal endothelin-1 (ET-1) in 12-days-old rats. The knowledge about consequences of ET-1 induced ischemia and the role of endothelin receptors (ETA and ETB) in ischemia-induced consequences in immature brain are poor at present. Agonists and selective antagonists of the ETA and ETB receptors were used to determine the role of these receptors in the development of ischemia, changes in regional blood flow and tissue oxygenation, local changes of biochemical parameters and acute neuronal death. Our results indicates, that activation of the ETA receptors causes a strong decrease of the blood flow, induced related hypoxia and subsequent neuronal degeneration, whereas activation of ETB receptors has likely modulatory role. Moreover, ischemia causes increase of excitatory amino acids concentration, whereas inhibitory amino acid, except taurine, decreased after ischemia. These facts provides new insights in a case of perinatal ischemia. This thesis demonstrates the wide range of different effects of...
Functional differentiation in the hippocampus
Vondráková, Kateřina ; Telenský, Petr (advisor) ; Stuchlík, Aleš (referee)
This work has been focused on anatomical and functional differentiation of the hippocampus. Hippocampus, as one of the most studied structures in the brain has an irreplaceable role in encoding, consolidation and recall of memories. In the early 20th century, Ramon y Cajal has divided hippocampus into 3 subregions, Ammon's horn (CA1-CA3 region), dentate gyrus and subiculum. Diferences in gene expresion, principal cell features and organization of connections with other structures suggests further division of the hippocampus according to septo-temporal axis, into ventral, dorsal and intermedial zone. Most importantly, the efects of impairment or inactivation of the individual subregions of the hippocampus, allow us to determine their prospective functions.

The potential impact of the electronic voting on voter turnout in the Czech republic
Vondráková, Kateřina ; Lechner, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pěkná, Jitka (referee)
The Master's Thesis deals with a potential impact of an introduction of the electronic voting on voter turnout of university students. First section focuses on theoretical foundation and academic debate of this subject. Additionally the current level of implementation of the electronic voting in the Czech Republic, Estonia and worldwide is explored. The hypothesis is formulated as a question whether the introduction of the electronic voting could potentially influence voter turnout of university students. The study is based on a questionnaire survey.
