Testing of proportional hydraulic block characteristics
Vácha, Ondřej ; Klas, Roman (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
Goal of this thesis is to verify functions of hydraulic manifolds from new supplier, measure characteristics of pressure loss relative to flow rate and for proportional blocks also characteristics of flow rate relative to control voltage at constant inlet pressure. Verification will be carried out with proportional manifolds and on/off manifolds with different failure functions.
Fluid diodes and other possibilities of valveless pumping
Vácha, Ondřej ; Moravec, Prokop (referee) ; Machů, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis goal is to map different applications of fluid diodes and other options of valveless pumping. A part of this work is also a design of a specific fluid diode as a substitute to non-return valve and simulation of its behavior.
Vyskytuje se vnitrodruhová agregace jedinců ve společenstvech afrického koprofilního hmyzu?
VÁCHA, Ondřej
Intraspecific aggregation of individuals in South African coprophilic insect communities were studied. The presence and effect of intraspecific and interspecific aggregation on coexistence were examined.
The term "discourse" in Foucault's work
Vácha, Ondřej ; Petříček, Miroslav (advisor) ; Ritter, Martin (referee)
The Bachelor Degree Thesis "The Term 'Discourse' in Foucault's work" focuses on elaboration of basic questions connected with Foucault's theory of discourses. It questions, whether the project is self-refuting or not and what are the main goals of the project. An analysis of R.Rorty's text "Foucault and epistemology" introduces the question what is the relation between classical epistemological tradition and Foucault's archaeology. For elaboration of this question the thesis analyses Foucault's text called "The Order of Discourse" and mainly "The Archaeology of knowledge". It concludes that Foucault's theory at it's roots enables to use the term "discourse" in such a wide significance, that Foucault can use the term as the base for a narrow interconnection of epistemology and political philosophy.

The analysis of effectiveness and undesirable effects of the radical chemoradiotherapy of anal cancer
Vácha, Ondřej ; Vítek, Pavel (advisor) ; Konopásek, Bohuslav (referee)
The subject of presented bachelor thesis is an analysis of efficacy and side effects in chemoradiotherapy of anal canal cancer. High anticancer activity besides severe adverse effects are specific for anal canal cancer. Adverse effect may finally negatively influence even overall survival. The data of 110 patients treated within the last 20 years at the Institute of Radiation Oncology, University Hospital Na Bulovce, Prague were analyzed to determine an impact of radiation delivery technique, chemotherapy and other variables on treatment results. Common chemoradiation regimen of mitomycin + 5-FU and radiation up to 60 Gy was employed. The single-institution data confirm high efficacy of standard treatment in terms of survival and relapse rate. There is a substantial rate of acute and delayed toxicity. Therefore there is a significant reduction of chemotherapy in elderly patients. However the survival and time to relapse data do not significantly differ in elderly patients. The age at diagnosis as a continuous variable does not significantly influence either survival or time to relapse. More advanced radiation delivery technique IMRT brings significantly less side effects compared to classic 2D and 3D conformal radiation therapy. Conclusions: High toxicity of standard chemoradiation for anal canal...

A philosophical context of social constructivism as a theory of International Relations
Vácha, Ondřej ; Kratochvíl, Petr (advisor) ; Rolenc, Jan Martin (referee)
The present thesis interpretes Nicholas Onuf´s fundamental book World of Our Making. This text tries to evaluate Maja Zehfuss´ and Charlotte Epstein´s poststructuralist arguments against constructivist IR theory and tries to resolve the problem within a broader philosophical context. In the end it seeks to consider their argument against the inherent tension of Onuf´s constructivism and consequently suggest a possible solution.
