The effect of neuroproprioceptive facilitation and inhibition physical therapy on the function of the upper limbs and the stability of the trunk in people with multiple sclerosis

Introduction: Upper limb dysfunction and poorly trunk stability are common manifestations of multiple sclerosis, which can significantly reduce quality of life and adversely affect normal daily activities. Physiotherapy has an irreplaceable role in the therapy of this disease and through improved muscle strength, coordination and fine motor skills can also increase the quality of life and reduce the impact of the disease on normal daily activities. Objective: The aim of this work is to demonstrate the effect of neuroproprioceptive facilitation and inhibition physical therapy on upper limbs function and trunk stability in people with MS. Methods: In patients with MS with an EDSS score of 1.5-7 and who have a problem with the upper limbs, neuroproprioceptive facilitation and inhibition physical therapy was used, combining two methodologies - Motor programs activating therapy and Proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. The therapy took place individually and lasted about an hour, together the patients underwent 15 therapies with a frequency of twice a week. They underwent entrance and exit examinations no later than one week before and after the therapies. Based on the literature study and original sources it provides information about Tupesy ceramics, its history, tradition and technology, and puts this information into broader historical, cultural and artistic context. Own artefacts present traditional topic in the current context. The main contribution of this work is the author's proposal for a comprehensive pedagogical project based on traditional Tupesy ceramics, its implementation and evaluation.
