ROS framework and its use in regard to actuation
Starý, Vojtěch ; Dobrovský, Ladislav (referee) ; Hůlka, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the ROS framework and its use. ROS software is an operating system used to control robots. The essence of this work is a brief description of the ROS framework, the process of creating and commissioning your own robot and testing the robot on defined tasks. The first task is to map the simulated environment and the second is autonomous navigation in the simulated environment. The middle part deals with drives.
Analysis of thermal processes inside of lead acid battery cell
Starý, Viktor ; Vaněk, Jiří (referee) ; Křivík, Petr (advisor)
Lead-acid battery is one of the most widely used electrochemical cells. These batteries have been associated with supplying energy to start the car. Currently used for propulsion and the overall operation of hybrid electric vehicles. When operating lead-acid batteries are made inside cell the thermal happens. The thermal going generate heat caused by chemical reactions during charging and discharging of the electrochemical system, the heat generated by ohmic and polarization losses and heat mediated contact with the environment. In this diploma thesis shows the principle of lead-acid battery and thermal processes that take places in the accumulator during its operation.
Examination of temperature changes in lead-acid battery system
Starý, Viktor ; Křivík, Petr (referee) ; Bača, Petr (advisor)
In the automobile industry is always more often talking about hybrid electric vehicles at the present. Functioning of these hybrid automobiles is provided by source of energy. This source is represented by accumulator. When accumulator is working we can see temperature changes. This project is dealing with used types of accumulators for hybrid electric vehicles. In the second phase is dealing with enquiring of temperature changes during different modes of operating.
Modeling antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft
Starý, Vladimír ; Tobola,, Pavel (referee) ; Raida, Zbyněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed to analyze parameters of antennas, and work out the computer, which can be used to the modeling of the radiation of antennas of the VUT 100 aircraft. First, used antennas are divided according to the operation frequencies, and the polarization. Second, a MATLAB program is developed and described. The program computes radiation patterns at different frequencies for the different location of antennas on the VUT aircraft. Finally, the MATLAB optimization program is develop and described. The program changes the position of antennas so that the requirements of aircraft producer can be met.
Round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) in the diet of great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo): the role of the season and temperature
Starý, Vojtěch ; Čech, Martin (advisor) ; Adámek, Zdeněk (referee)
Round goby (Neogobius melanostomus) is invasive species, present in the Elbe river since 2015. This study The purpose of this study was to find out how piscivorous predators have adapted to its presence, using the example of the great cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo). The research was carried out on the basis of the analysis of cormorant's pellets, collected at a locality near Velké Březno (50ř40ʹ34.2ʹʹ N, 14ř07ʹ28.5ʹʹ E) under roosting trees in the period from 1 October 2020 to 15 April 2021, during a total of 7 visits. A total of 1,775 pieces of fish, 15 species belonging to 5 families, were determined from the diagnostic bones. Of this number, 1,115 were round gobies, i.e. a total of 62.8 % of the cormorant's food consisted of these fish. However, the weight share of the total reconstructed weight of all fish caught (113.6 kg) was only very small - 6.6 %. The mean daily food intake (DFI ± S.D.) of cormorants was determined to be 423.7 ± 113.6 g. It was found that cormorants hunting only round gobies overwhelmingly do not consume the necessary prey weight to cover their energy expenditure. Furthermore, the dependence of the size of the hunted prey on the average daily temperature was tested. Linear regression did not show any significant dependence in this case. The hypothesis that at lower...

Relaxation, especially dielectric behaviour of polymer composites and liquid crystalline polymers
Neubert, Milan ; Nedbal, Jan (advisor) ; Dušek, Karel (referee) ; Starý, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Relaxation, especially dielectric behaviour of polymer composites and liquid crystalline polymers Author: Milan Neubert Department: Department of Macromolecular Physics Supervisor: doc. RNDr. Jan Nedbal, CSc., Department of Macromolecular Physics Abstract: The subject of the work was to study the relaxation electrical properties of polymer composites and liquid crystalline polymers. Work focused on till now not deeply explored new polymeric materials - on semi-aromatic poly (ester amides) and on composites of poly(vinyl alcohol) with polyaniline. In the case of poly(ester amides), we had three series with different aromatic groups and different length of the aliphatic chain, in the case of composite materials, we studied composites prepared as cryogels. Basic experimental method was dielectric spectroscopy, supplemented by approaches of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. A noncontact measuring method based on eddy currents was newly developed, that is able to provide information about both the conductivity and permittivity of samples, and a measuring cell was constructed, later used to perform part of the experimental work. Keywords: permittivity, conductivity, dielectric spectroscopy, liquid crystalline polymers, conducting polymer composites
Impact of changes in the city centre of Ústí nad Labem on the traffic accident
Starý, Vojtěch ; Temelová, Jana (advisor) ; Pospíšilová, Lucie (referee)
Impact of changes in the city centre of Ústí nad Labem on the traffic accident Abstract The objective of this paper is to determine the influence of change of the Ústí nad Labem city center on the road traffic safety. In the first part of the paper the modern modifications of communications in the city centers for the purpose of better safety for the road traffic participants are generally characterized. Further, the paper concerns with revitalization in the centre of Ústí nad Labem. The city centre is represented by three streets (Masarykova, Velká Hradební and Hrnčířská) which have been significantly changed during past seven years. The influence of these changes is compared to the stats of accident frequency and development of traffic intensity in individual streets. The Head of traffic police in Ústí nad Labem, project engineers and the Head of Traffic Department of the municipal government were interviewed to express their opinions on the problems. The result of the paper is an evaluation whether the revitalization of the city center has contributed to better traffic safety.
