Fantastic Literature in the Process of Literary Education
Lichtenbergová, Lucie ; Komberec, Filip (advisor) ; Soukupová, Klára (referee)
The aim of this work is to prove that even among works of fantastic literature, it is possible to find texts that can be used in literature classes (not only) in secondary school, and that, through their interpretation, we can relate to our current world and its problems. The theoretical part focuses on the definition of fantastic literature as such (especially in relation to the terms fantasy and sci-fi) and on attempts to define the extension of this concept as a genre. The reader will also find a chapter focusing on arguments disproving the underestimation of this genre. This chapter is followed by an explanation on how to use fantastic literature in school practice, where we present primarily many readership studies that confirm the popularity of this genre among readers, but also with some literary awards that demonstrate the quality of some works of fantastic literature. The practical part uses content analysis to select several specific works in which it is possible to identify moments that relate to individual cross-curricular themes of the Curriculum Framework for grammar school and their expected outcomes. On their basis, five model teaching lessons, which were taught at an unnamed Prague secondary school, are subsequently proposed here. Each lesson is followed by a reflection on the...

Poetry of Czech millennials (2010 - 2020) - analysis of themes and motifs
Dostálová, Kateřina ; Neumann, Lukáš (advisor) ; Soukupová, Klára (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyse the poetry of Czech millennials between 2010 and 2020.The thesis analyses 25 works by laureates or candidates of literary prizes (mainly the Jiří Orten Prize and the František Halas Prize) and works from leading Czech poetry publishers (Dauphin, Fra, Host, Větrné mlýny, Dybbuk). The analysis focuses on identifying the motifs that appear across the works of the authors in question and uses these motifs to illustrate a broader theme, which is then confronted with sociological studies. What emerges is a comprehensive insight into the poetics of a generation of poets emerging in the recent decade. Two major themes in the poetry of millennials are identified in the thesis as the trauma of a lost childhood and the critique of capitalist society. The themes of God and Christian motifs, themes and motifs related to the human body, the theme and motif of death, and pop culture motifs are also treated in the thesis. The thesis concludes with a comprehensive look at the developmental tendencies in the poetry of millennials in terms of thematic, motivic and formal aspects; other observations that emerged from the analysis are also appended.

Introduction High performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) is modern instrumental method used mainly in analytical chemistry. Most used separation mode is reversed phase liquid chromatography (RP HPLC). This method is very useful because of high separation efficiency, reliability and wide choice of stationary phases with different selectivity. Most used stationary phases in RP HPLC are bonded phases, which have many advantages: good availability, wide application range, fast establishment of equilibrium and ability to...

Soukupová, Klára ; Kubíček, Tomáš (advisor) ; Hrdlička, Josef (referee) ; Zizler, Jiří (referee)
Mgr. Klára Soukupová Autobiography in the Context of the Positioning Theory Abstract This doctoral thesis is a theoretical and an interpretative study that deals with the genre of autobiography, its position in the contemporary literary theory and problems related to an interpretation of autobiographical texts. Autobiography as a genre of non-fictional literature refers to real characters and events, but at the same time it is a literary work of art, a verbal construct in which the representation of reality is subject to the intentions of the author and to the rules of construction, that are close to the compositional techniques of fictional texts. The first part of the thesis concentrates on the theory of autobiography and its interdisciplinary context. It summarizes the development of theory of autobiography from the late 19th century to the present. Also, the concepts of the memory studies (especially the concept of collective memory) and the problem of distinguishing fiction and non-fiction (discussed in philosophy of history in 1970s and 1980s, fictional worlds theory, pragmatics of fiction, etc.) are taken into account. The theoretical chapter critically reflects P. Lejeune's definition of autobiography, based on the concept of the autobiographical pact. In relation with the problem of how to define...
