Repetition and paradox of genre fiction

The Bachelor thesis is concerned with the issue of the paradox of genre fiction which was presented by Deborah Knight. This paradox is based on the question why the readers and the viewers are spending their time by reading and watching stories they are already familiar with so they know what the stories will be about and how will they end. The author is proceeding from Noël Carroll's similar paradox of junk fiction. First part of the text is occupying with the characterization of the aesthetic experience, the principle of repetition in the works of art and the definition of the term of genre. After that in the second part the particular conditions of the paradox are verified.

Frantisek Skala´s Art as Inspiration for Creative Activities in Kindergarten

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is concentrated on various artworks of the Czech artist František Skála which also serves like an inspiration for artistic activity in the nursery school. The theoretical part deals with the development of preschool child with special accent on development of artistic expression. The bachelor thesis also deals with the use of contemporary art in preschool education, art-project teaching and develops František Skála's life and work in detail. The practical part is dedicated on realization and reflection of the art line inspired by Skála's artwork.

The Impact of Online Self-Monitoring Applications on Motivation of Users in Education Process

This thesis is examining in which way the quantified self approach can have the effect on motivation in the process of education. The aim of this thesis is to determine whether the usage of application which is tracking and recording the study progress can have the influence on motivation of users and moreover, to evaluate the most effective motivational techniques used in these kinds of applications. Firstly, terms like motivation, self-regulated learning and the Quantified Self movement are clarified. Moreover, some of the researches from the field of tracking of educational and self-educational progress are described. Furthermore, various of motivational techniques are examined. In the part of the research, by the in-depth interviews it is examined the influence of the application Todait on the motivation of users and by the quantitative survey of questionnaire it is inquired what other functions would users prefer.

Spatial stained sheet of glass on a dream

This thesis deals with a dream. It is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part consists of basic knowledge of the dream in terms of physiological and psychological. There is also mention the phenomenon of dreams as a source or subject in the historical development of visual arts. The theoretical part also discusses author?s personal relationship to dreams, the choice of materials, techniques and rationale for selection of space for indoor installation. Practical part of the author's realization of spatial stained glass plate combined with concrete. Workflow is completed the drawing designs and photographs.
