Mechanisms used by SARS-CoV-2 for escape from innate host defense
Rybová, Lucie ; Němečková, Šárka (advisor) ; Pospíšek, Martin (referee)
SARS-CoV-2 of the Coronaviridae family causes the disease called Covid-19. It has a number of structural, non-structural and accessory proteins that interfere with the host's immune response and help the virus escape this response and survive in the host. The most important escape mechanism is suppression of host interferon function. Molecules causing inhibition of the host's innate immunity are encoded from the region of the virus genome ORF1a and ORF1ab. This work provides a summary of the characterization, morphology, genome, replication cycle, innate immunity mechanisms involved in host defense against infection, and escape mechanisms of SARS-CoV-2. Keywords: SARS-CoV-2, virus, morfology of SARS-CoV-2, SARS-CoV-2 genome, structural proteins, nonstructural proteins, innate immune system escape, IFN dysregulation, TLRs, SARS-CoV-2 variants, Covid-19
People with mental disorders and their access to the labour market
Vovsová, Nikola ; Rybová, Lucie (advisor) ; Angelovská, Olga (referee)
Group of people with mental illness is a very diverse group. Due to its diagnosis they have to face prejudices and stigmatization, which influences all levels of their lives - even the working one. This diploma thesis People with mental disorders and their access to the labour market examines the position of persons with mental disorders on the labor market. It is based on the premise that employment is an important element for every person, as it provides an income and, above all, represents belonging to the majority society. In this work I introduce the setting of Czech legislation and public policy documents, I realize my own quantitative (using content analysis of media outputs) and qualitative (using semi-structured expert interviews) research and based on that I classify people with mental illness into the relevant target population according to the Theory of social construction of target populations (according to Schneider and Ingram). I choose this procedure of combined (= mixed) research to collect a sufficient amount of data. This theory says how benefits or burdens are allocated in society. I define the problems and, in conclusion, I present possible recommendations how the situation could change with the help of public policy instruments and how the the stigma that these people have to...

Češková, Eliška ; Angelovská, Olga (advisor) ; Rybová, Lucie (referee)
1 Abstract This diploma thesis deals with the unavailability of housing in Prague in relation to young people and seniors. The aim is to find out whether the setting of the local housing policy reflects selected life cycle phases. The thesis is based on the theory of life path and the theory of transition to adulthood. It describes the concept of generation rent, the development of Czech housing policy and its current setting, key actors, differences and interconnectedness of housing policy at the state and local level and what types of housing support are offered to young people and seniors. It also deals with the causes of housing unavailability and citizens' preferences regarding housing types. The work is conceived as a case study focused on Prague. Qualitative and quantitative methods were applied in the research in the form of semi-structured interviews with young people and seniors and expert interviews with experts from the Ministry for Regional Development, Prague City Hall and some city districts. A secondary analysis of data collected by the Czech Statistical Office over a period of fifteen years was performed. I found out that the support of people in transition to adulthood and retired people is not sufficient at the local level. Prague does not have a sufficient number of tools to help these...
Suicide preventive tools: an overview of the topic and evaluation by people with a history of suicidal ideation
Smrčková, Růžena ; Kasal, Alexandr (advisor) ; Rybová, Lucie (referee)
In the area of social media, suicide prevention needs to be improved. There are many social media platforms like Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. This fact indicates the growth of potential people in crisis online as users of social networks. Hand by hand with this reality goes the fact that the number of people using the internet is increasing. A significant part of social network users is formed by the age group 15 to 35 years. The second most common cause of death in the age group 15 to 29 years is suicide. This fact is also showing the value of suicide prevention improvement in the social media area. Other supporting information is that social media can provide a shield of anonymity. Therefore, anonymity affords confidence. Under this anonymity shield, the social network user can share a post with suicidal thoughts, but how can we recognise these signals with a lack of suicide prevention tools. Suicide prevention could increase its effectiveness if it focused more on social media like Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
Transit period in the lives of people with combined disabilites: Transition planning of the transition from special education to the ordinary educational process
RYBOVÁ, Lucie
This bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the transit period for people with combined disabilities, namely light mental disabilities and impairment of communication abilities (hereinafter referred to as "NKS"), by passing from a special boarding school of logopedics to the 2nd level of ordinary elementary schools with daily attendance. In the work I try to outline the most problematic areas with which the particular pupil was confronted during the transit period and I present used compensatory mechanisms. I also try to suggest other forms of compensation that could be beneficial for a particular pupil in the transit period. In conclusion, I describe the current state of the pupil and the prognosis of his application in future professional life.
