Photocatalytic active coatings-environmental way to improve quality and durability of buildings
Sázavská, T. ; Jakubičková, M. ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Šubrt, Jan ; Peterka, F.
Transparent coatings of TiO2-SiO2 nanocomposite were developed to be applied on building facades in order to prevent growth of microorganisms and thus to improve urban building sustainability. Structure and texture characteristics of the prepared nanocomposites were determined by electron microscopy (SEM, TEM + EDS), their photocatalytic activity was quantified by testing self-cleaning ability and antimicrobial activity. The self-cleaning properties were evaluated according to the standard ISO method based on photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue. The TiO2-SiO2 nanocomposite coatings were applied on various types of substrates commonly used in building industry. The antimicrobial activity was mainly investigated for algae because these microorganisms are often responsible for facades ageing. According to the laboratory tests the prepared TiO2-SiO2 nanocomposites are highly efficient. This fact was already proved by first applications in real conditions. The transparent SiO2-TiO2 nanocomposites represent an ecological and noninvasive way how to keep nice appearance of buildings for a long time. It is due to their permanent photocatalytic activity causing self-cleaning and algicidal effects. Such coatings may significantly reduce ageing processes on facades of buildings that are caused by microbiological pollution and smog exhalations.
New trends in internet marketing
Linc, Zdeněk ; Mikeš, Jiří (advisor) ; Peterka, František (referee)
This thesis deals with the topic of new trends in internet marketing. The theoretical part describes the current developments in the areas of Internet marketing display advertising, contextual advertising, SEO, social networks, mobile marketing, discount portals, price graders and describes their benefits to the overall concept of marketing. In the practical part is then discussed in detail testing of Garnier lotion, which was carried out via the Internet. In the practical part of it is used for various points of theoretical knowledge about the behavior of Internet users and is also based on the results analyzed. The practical part will demonstrate the benefits of the Internet for product testing and indicates the direction in which he could take on Internet Marketing.
Interactive media in the Czech Republic
Peterka, František ; Král, Petr (advisor) ; Raška, Ondřej (referee)
This paper is divided into 3 parts. First part defines the interactive media and describes particular types of internet and mobile media. The second part is focused on interesting projects in the Czech Republic, which offer new possibilities of internet and mobile advertising. The last part describes the project www.golfeurope.cz and its starting campaign with using the interactive media.
Test method for self cleaning performance
Peterka, F. ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Sťahel, P. ; Navrátil, Z. ; Buček, A.
The method for self cleaning performance is based on combination of both effects og photocatalytic function, which are ox/red reaction and surface hydrophilicity. When oleic acid, as organic material deposited on tested photocatalytic material is decomposed, surface is becoming hydrophilic.
APPLICATIONS OF PHOTOCATALYTIC NANOMATERIALS, STANDARDIZATION AND OVERVIEW OF TESTING METHODS
Peterka, F. ; Jirkovský, Jaromír ; Sťahel, P. ; Navrátil, Z.
Successful application of photocatalytic nanomaterials in so called light cleaning is strongly dependent on 1 development of photocatalytic material of new generation to have performance at least one order higher than materials already utilized, 2 development of testing methods as ISO and CEN standards to prove photocatalytic function in broad application field and to support the advertise function. These issues belong to the main objectives of the European COST 540 project "Photocatalytic technologies and novel nanosurfaces materials critical issues", which is understood as European platform to group the existing European teams focusing on the development of photocatalytic nanomaterials and standard photoactivity testing methods In this contribution, overview of state of art of application field and testing methods will be given Information about recently developed new composite photocatalyst material will also be mentioned, but from the point of standard testing.

Current state of art in the research and development of photocatalytic titanium oxide nanosurface materials and their practical applications is discussed. The main objectives of new European COST Action “PHONASUM” (COST 540), which is understand as European platform to group the existing European collaborations and to allow for a large exchange between the different European groups focussing on the development of photocatalytical nanomaterials and standard photoactivity testing methods are presented. Specific aims and scientific results of the Research Centre for Nanosurface Engineering "NANOPIN" established in 2005 under the Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic are shown in more detail.

Experimental and numerical investigation of vibroimpact system with Hertz's contact
Půst, Ladislav ; Kocanda, Lubomír ; Peterka, František
The static characteristic force versisus deformation of teh used hemispheres made of weak elastic material was measured and used as a mathematical model of Hertz's stops. Measured dynamical properties agree with response curves obtained by numerical simulation in the resonance influenced by the strong nonlinearities very well.
Motion of the dynamic impact damper
Peterka, František
Properties of the tuned dynamic impact damper is studied by numerical simulation. Different regimes of the system response on the harmonic excitation is evaluated and regions of existence and stability are ascertained. Specified behaviour as grazing, period doubling, saddle-note and Hopf bifursations are explained.
