Vašenda, Michal ; Šíma, Jan (advisor) ; Pecha, Ondřej (referee)
(EN) Title: The process of pilot standardization of the Czech version of the questionnaire SERVQUAL for the sports services indurty. Objectives: This paper focus is to initiate the standardization process of the Czech version of the SERVQUAL questionnaire for fitness and recreational sport and prepare the ground for its future use in practice. Methods: First was SERVQUAL questionnaire translated into Czech language and distributed to two fitness centers during six months period. Then using Generalizability theory and faktor analysis the reliability and internal structure of this instrument was examined. Results: Provides information about use of this instrument in assesing service quality of fitness centers in Czech republic . Proposes recommendations for further modification and use the questionnaire in the Czech environment. Key words: Service quality, Measurement of service quality, Generalizability theory, Factor analysis. This research was supported by the Grant agency of Charles University, project no. 267811 Measuring sport services quality in fitness industry

Multilevel structural analysis of the attitudes toward physical education: Methodological considerations
Pecha, Ondřej ; Blahuš, Petr (advisor) ; Víšek, Jan Ámos (referee) ; Hagtvet, Knut (referee)
The present thesis introduces multilevel confirmatory factor analysis (MCFA) as an appropriate methodology to use when data are hierarchically structured and an identification of theoretical concepts of a given inventory is desired. The main purpose of this thesis is to introduce all possible methods and issues which are connected with attitude research. The MCFA methodology is demonstrated on the example of the attitudes toward physical education (ATPE). Data were collected from high school students (n = 1157) nested within PE classes (m = 87). A different factor structure of ATPE was determined at the student level (within-group) and at the PE class level (between-group). At the within-group level, Wear's four-factor theory of ATPE was confirmed. However, the existence of two wording factors (positive and negative) and the school PE-related factor was indicated. At the between-group level, the resulting three-factor model exhibited only a marginal fit. The structure of theoretical concepts and their indicators was indistinct, because the items were originally developed to measure ATPE at the within-group level. The analysis included four cases: (1) single-level continuous, (2) multilevel continuous, (3) single-level ordinal, and (4) multilevel ordinal. All four approaches were compared in terms...
Multi-level quantitative evaluation of the use of foreigners in Czech football
Riedl, Jakub ; Crossan, William Morea (advisor) ; Pecha, Ondřej (referee)
Title: Multi-level quantitative evaluation of the use of foreigners in Czech football Objectives: The purpose of this thesis is to evaluate how foreign soccer players influence the Czech first league football in seasons from 1993/1994 to 2019/2020, and use multilevel modeling to analyze longitudinal data to find answers to these questions: 1. Do foreign players effect attendance in Czech first soccer league? 2. Do foreigners effect the number of Czech players in the highest soccer league? A secondary goal is to find out if multilevel analysis is a suitable method to evaluate sport migration in a primary sport in a semi-periphery country. Methods: In the master's thesis multilevel analysis with longitudinal data is used to explain dependent variables which were acquired from the Czech first football league between the seasons 1993/94 and 2019/20. Results: The results of this work show that foreign players do not have an effect on attendance because the results were statistically insignificant. The number of foreign players in the Czech league is increasing on average by 0,22 players per year in one club. On the other hand, Czech players were decreasing in all 27 seasons by 0,13 per year per club. The relationship between the dependent variable of Czech players and independent variable of foreign...
