Identification of physical and chemical factors regulating gene expression and infectivity of the Lyme disease spirochetes
PAVLASOVÁ, Veronika
Borrelia afzelii is one of the main Lyme disease causative agents. It is known that differential gene expression during the Borrelia life cycle can relate to infectivity for mammals, including humans. However, just a little is known about what affects these changes in expression. Here, we investigate the effect of temperature and common blood nutrients on Borrelia afzelii differential gene expression and transmission efficiency while stimulating the ticks with chosen substances.
Detekce glyoxylátové dráhy v klíštěti \kur{Ixodes ricinus}
PAVLASOVÁ, Veronika
Ticks are important blood-feeding ectoparasites and vectors of human and animal diseases. The development of rational anti-tick vaccines and drugs is strongly dependent on the identification of biochemical differences between ticks and vertebrates. The glyoxylate cycle was so far found only in bacteria, plants, fungi, and nematodes. Surprisingly, one article described an increase of glyoxylate, a product of the glyoxylate cycle, during embryogenesis in ticks. Aim of my work was to confirm the presence of the glyoxylate cycle (isocitrate lyase) in ticks, mainly in the developing eggs of Ixodes ricinus, by setting-up the biochemical test coupled with a specific inhibitor.
Energy Evaluation of Compaction Process of Directly Compressible Isomalt
Pavlasová, Veronika ; Mužíková, Jitka (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Pharmaceutical technology Candidate: Mgr. Veronika Pavlasová Consultant: PharmDr. Jitka Mužíková, Ph.D. Title of Thesis: Energy evaluation of compaction process of directly compressible isomalt. The thesis was dealing with energy evaluation of compaction process of directly compressible isomalt galenIQTM 720 and galenIQTM 721. Tablets were compressed with material testing machine T1-FRO 50 Th.A1K Zwick/Roell, which coupled with computer software named testXpert V 9.01 shown and drawn records of "force-displacement" and enumerate particular energy of compaction process that means energy of fiction (E1), energy accumulated by the tablet (E2), energy of decompression (E3) and plasticity. From comparison of both substances results, that higher energy of friction, higher energy of accumulated by the tablet and higher plasticity showed galenIQTM 721, but in the value of decompression energy was not statisticaly signifiant diference between dry binders. Both dry binders it was not accepted for that with rising energy acumulated in the tablet have risen tensile strength of tablets. In terms of comparison drugs were higher values of friction energy with decompression energy in tablets with acetylsalicylic acid, values of energy...
A study of the properties of tablets made of directly compressible isomalt.
Pavlasová, Veronika ; Mužíková, Jitka (advisor) ; Šnejdrová, Eva (referee)
A study of the properties of tablets made of directly compressible isomalt. Summary The thesis deals with the study of properties of tablets from two types of directly compressible isomalt - namely galenIQTM 720 and galenIQTM 721. The focus of the study was given to the dependence of tensile strenght and disintegration time of the tablets, both on the compression force, the addition of lubricants, namely magnesium stearate and sodium stearyl fumarate (Pruv) with concentrations 0,5% and 1%, and a 50% addition of model active intgredients, namely ascorbic acid and acetylsalicylic acid. The compression forces were used 6, 8 and 10 kN, tablets containing drugs were compressed only with a force of 10 kN. The tensile streght of tablets from both substances increased with increasing compression force, the presence of lubricants did not result any decrease in the strenght. The disintegration time of tablets was longer with substance galenIQTM 720, it was prolonged by lubricants and increased with increasing compression force for both substances. The presence of drugs decreased the tensile strenght, tablets containing acetylsalicylic acid shown higher tensile strenght. For both drugs was not significant difference in the context of the type of isomalt or lubricants. The disintegration time of tablets was shorter...

Education and the Educational System in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its connection with labour market
Pavlasová, Veronika ; Kouřilová, Jana (advisor) ; Pělucha, Martin (referee)
The aim of the thesis called Education and the Educational System in the Moravian-Silesian Region and its connection with labour market is to answer the question whether there is a connection between the educational system and the labor market in the Region. The thesis is divided into four major sections. The first charter describes the system of education and the labor market in general. Basic principles and concepts of this issue are described there. The second chapter provides information on the educational system and the labor market in the Czech Republic, including legislation and basic conceptual documents. The third chapter deals with the educational system in the Moravian-Silesian Region and provides an overview of the structure of students and graduates of secondary and tertiary education institutions in the region. The fourth chapter summarizes labor market issues in the Region with a focus on employment and unemployment in the region. The chapter ends with evaluating the structure of vacancies in the region. The results of the thesis suggest that while the offer of courses at secondary and tertiary education institutions largely meets the demand for labor in the region, the level of education does not.
Establishment of limited liability company by individual entrepreneur
Pavlasová, Veronika ; Müllerová, Libuše (advisor) ; Musil, Petr (referee)
My Master's Thesis is focused mainly on entrepreneur who decides to change the legal form of businness and to establish a limited liability company. For this reason I started with the characteristics of both legal forms of business firstly and then I stated all possible ways to establish limited liability company concernig legal, accounting and fiscal point of view. At the same time I was aiming to point out pros and cons of setting up a limited liability company which may affect the future profitability of business.
Analyse and evaluation of financing education at the region level
Pavlasová, Veronika ; Toth, Petr (advisor) ; Kokeš, Vladimír (referee)
The bachelor thesis is devided to five parts. In the first part is writen about public expenditure with a view to externalities and education. The second part describes system of education in Czech Republic with a view to particular level of education. In the third part of bachelor thesis is writen about conception system of education and legislation. The fourth and fifth part are more important. Parts are aim for basic characteristic of education expenditures and mechanism of financing from government budget and regional budget. Common findings are in last part apply to concrete region, Moravskoslezský region. It does mean analysis concrete flows of money form sources to education organization. Aim of bachelor thesis is komplex analysis financing regional education at present, which includes firstly description general principles of financing according to significant regulations and conceptions and then compare it with educational experience.
