Online System for Visual Geo-Localization in Natural Environment
Pospíšil, Miroslav ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor)
The goal of this master thesis is creation of an online system serving as a performing application for presentation results of visual geo-localization in nature and mountain environment. The system offers the users to choose one of the pre-defined photographs or~to~upload one's own photography while choosing a file or inserting an URL address. The~system will localizate a camera of a given image based on a visual geo-localization. The~geo-localization uses the mountain horizon as a key characteristic when searching for similar horizons. The~curve line of the horizon is extracted by a fully automatic algorithm based on supervised learning and dynamic programming. Visual geo-localization running on the server which using new inversed index with cache politic. This allows further scaling of the system. The server processing detected horizon curve and respond with set of the best candidates on results. Results are visualised to the user in form of classic map, detailed sattelite view and rendering of found panorama.
Web Application for Panorama Search
Pospíšil, Miroslav ; Čadík, Martin (referee) ; Brejcha, Jan (advisor)
The aim of my bachelor thesis is to create a web front-end, which provides mountain localisation of images. Images can be uploaded directly to the application or you can use images from the Flickr web service. Flickr is integrated in the application by Flickr API. Localisation of selected image is based on mountain horizon. User-aided semi-automatic horizon detection is approached by special user interface utilising the GrabCut algorithm for segmentation. Localisation is provided by server back-end which is connected and integrated with the designed application. Results for the detected horizon are visualised in a form of aligned horizon curves with position displayed using the Google Maps API. The final fully functional application was tested by moderated usability test with users. Application in this test performed well. Despite several shortcomings detected by the test the application was easy to use.
Noise generator
Pospíšil, Miroslav ; Kubásek, Radek (referee) ; Fiala, Pavel (advisor)
The goal of bachelor’s thesis „Noise generator“ is circuit design and construction of noise generator. The first part is concentrated on description of random signals. There are circuits of noise generators in the second part. In the third part is example of utilization noise generator in microwave sensors. And in fourth part are designed circuit and made measurements.
Linear Transponder Model
Pospíšil, Miroslav ; Ondráš, Radek (referee) ; Baran, Ondřej (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with satellite transponders. Firstly, satellite communication basics, satellite services definitions, frequency bands and satellite orbits are investigated. The second chapter forms the satellite transponders analysis. The transparent transponder and the transponder with on-board processing are described. Finally, a transponder model is designed and simulated in communication chain.
Computer modeling of SARS-CoV-2 protease inhibition
Hanák, Martin ; Barvík, Ivan (advisor) ; Pospíšil, Miroslav (referee)
This work deals with various methods of computing free energy using molecular dy- namics simulations to study the inhibition of biological macromolecules and to identify potential drugs. Specifically, the possibility of using non-equilibrium methods based on Jarzynski's equality and Crooks fluctuation theorem was explored. The methods used were tested on simple systems of amino acids and a complex of ether crown with potas- sium. Subsequently, the tested methods were applied to complexes of adamantanes with cyclodextrins and especially to the inhibition of the main protease of SARS-CoV-2 Mpro. 1
Computational Modeling of Membrane Proteins
Šimko, Pavol ; Barvík, Ivan (advisor) ; Pospíšil, Miroslav (referee)
The present work deals with the application of steered molecular dynamics simulations on medically interesting biomolecular systems. At first, methods for determi- ning the free energy profile were tested on the (Ala)10 model system. Then we focused on determining the free energy profile for binding of a ligand to the adenosine A2A GPC receptor. We further studied the free energy profile associated with ion passage through the Gramicidin A ion channel. Finally, we applied this methodology to the TRPM2 ion channel. 1
Genetically modified products from feed in kidneys of broilers
POSPÍŠIL, Miroslav
This bachelor thesis gives an overview of managing detection of genetically manipulated products from chicken feed. Kidneys of chickens which were fed by feed that has been genetically modificated were subject to examination. Two GM plants were necessary for the examination, one of them being resistent Bt-maize, the other one herbicide-tolerant Roundup Ready soya. Both plants were used as additives in feed mixture for poultry. Detection of prospective trangenes was realized by means of molecular-genetic methods {--} PCR and electrophoresis. Ascertained risks for consumers will be evaluated upon the results of the thesis.
Molecular simulations of organic-inorganic hybrid materials.
Novotný, Radek ; Pospíšil, Miroslav (advisor) ; Drahokoupil, Jan (referee)
Layered double hydroxides (LDH) are a promising material for use as a drug car- rier thanks to their capacity for the intercalation of various anionic species, as well as their very low toxicity for the human body. Atorvastatin (ATS) is a drug used for blood cholesterol level lowering and cardiovascular disease prevention. Current methods of ATS delivery are quite ineffective, leading to the need for prescribing high ATS doses, which may cause discomfort to patients due to the drug's adverse side effects, most commonly including nausea, indigestion, joint pain or muscle pain. The intercalation of ATS into LDH could facilitate a controlled, targeted release of the drug into the patient's body, making a lower dose of drug more effective and thus alleviating the side effects of ATS. Molecular simulations utilising the COMPASS force field were used to assess three dif- ferent models of ATS intercalated into Mg2Al LDH with ATS concentrations of 61.99 %, 73.64 % and 70.64 %, corresponding to basal spacing of LDH layers of 3.751 nm, 3.808 nm and 3.823 nm, taken from X-ray diffraction experiments. Different starting orientations of ATS anions in the LDH interlayers were explored. The highest concentration of ATS appeared the most promising and lead to the most stable structure. Geometry opti- misations and...
2D structures based on metal phosphonates; relationships between arrangement and properties studied by molecular simulations methods
Škoda, Jakub ; Pospíšil, Miroslav (advisor) ; Čapková, Pavla (referee) ; Praus, Petr (referee)
This work deals with the structural analysis of layered zirconium sulfophenylphosphonates and their intercalates with the use of the classical molecular simulation methods. The inner composition of both fully and partially sulfonated layers was determined in agreement with available experimental data, especially chemical analysis, thermogravimetric measurements and X-ray diffraction. The calculations revealed the positions of the water molecules in the planes of sulfo groups which strongly affect the resultant diffraction pattern. Within the zirconium sulfophenylphosphonate layered structure, the arrangements of intercalated species based on optically active dipyridylamine molecules and cations of sodium, copper and iron were solved with the respect to the agreement with experimental results and values of potential energy. In case of the dipyridylamine molecules and its derivatives, the resultant disordered partially row arrangements of the organic molecules in the interlayer were showed to influence the dipole moment of the intercalate. From this point of view, nitro-derivative has been picked out as the most suitable for potential applications. Regarding the intercalated cations, sodium cations take up the space of water molecules next to the sulfo groups while copper and iron cations are distributed in a...
